  • This game had so much potential it hurts. I wish DICE hadn’t abandoned this, if only it wasn’t for the rocky start.

  • I missed this kind of video... I think BF1 and BFV really benefitted from including some of the rarer stuff. I'd love to see a 50s/60s/70s era tackled by BF some day :)

    • @@mumtazaffan170 Sadly the game is 100% dead on Xbox 360. Tried playing a few months ago couldn’t find any sessions. I just hope they release another Vietnam era game. BFBC2 Vietnam was very underrated.

  • Provence, Marita, Mercury some of the maps I miss. Looking back BFV had some great looking maps. That’s why I enjoy every BF game no matter what because I always look back at all of them with great memories. I know someday BF2042 will be the same for me in the future

  • I love the Drilling - my grandpa owns one and it's a very unique shotgun! Or... rifle? Either way it's a very unique yet smart design, which I guess Germany kind of turned into their trademark during WWII!

    • Too bad the game was painfully mediocre. They got the soundtrack down perfectly to this game. They just ended up doing this game dirty by not putting the same amount of love into this game like how they did with BF1. Still enjoyed the game but even when I play it from time to time it just feels like a unfinished game.

  • I believe that Type 2A belongs on this list because it actually never existed and was a only a prototype

  • Always nice to see a BF video from you. I think the M28 con tromboncino is a very interesting addition, since it is highly detailed, including its grenade launching procedure. Mounted launchers are more associated with modern conflicts, so seeing a World War version was definitely unique.

  • I'm not sure "welcome back" is quite the right term, but it's nice to see a video on one of the older BF games again! As a fun tangent, Galland was also the guy who, when asked by Göring what they needed to do better against the RAF, he told him he'd like a squadron of Spitfires. Göring was predictably enraged. Galland apparently later stated that while he admired/respected the Spitfire, he didn't _really_ want them, but just wanted to piss off Göring. :D

  • I played BFV from launch till 2042 launched and do not remember the liberator pistol at all. Now I have to go back and see if I have it unlocked or not.

  • You should definitely take a look at Easy Red 2. An indie ww2 game that’s very similar to old games like Battlefield 1942. It has single player missions taking place in various unknown campaigns, with Stalingrad and Normandy added in as DLC. The Italians, Canadians and Polish are also featured as playable teams.
