Honestly this was such a fun game to watch IRL. I havent been to a game in 10+ years and so this was so fun to watch, fans were nice to each other (mostly), and people were just having a good time really.
Korpisalo was unreal. Sens power play capitalised when it needed to. Well-deserved win!

Sens got 3 goals on only 13 shots. When they went on a power play late in the 3rd, I leaned towards my brother and said, "What are the odds they get a 4th goal on the 14th shot?". I thought I was making a joke not a prediction. The only upside of this game was Hyman's 50th. Gratz! Otherwise, what a disaster. Pickard really needs some work.

The biggest weakness of the Oilers is still a glaring weakness - their D core. They are so flipping thin on D, I dont understand why they continue to avoid focusing on that part of the team.

I was thinking just today when the season ends, I think he will be offered up for a trade. Oilers are stuck with Nurse, as no team will want him unless team pays a good part of his salary. Will they also put Leon up for trade to get some defenseman? However, Oilers for the last 15 years have thought they could win a Cup stickily on offense, so that train of thought probably won't change.

It's all about money. We have 2 of the bestplayers ever. So top heavy. Vegas proved its possible to win the cup with "moneyball"(movie). Honestly, watching 82 games with this team, means more than the cup. Historically and percentage wise edmonton are monsters.

Just a pathetic effort. The 11 Ontario boys on the Oilers took the weekend off. Our AHL goalie had just 15 shots and he let 5 in. He ended up with 6.88 % average. That should put him on the next plane to California If I owned the Oilers, I would make them bus to their next game

Yeah. Senators beat Oilers and Oilers beat Senators this year so it is a tie. I am fan of both Senators and Oilers. Hope both of these teams end their regular seasons by defeating Colorado and Boston though. Colorado and Boston are like bosses in the NHL in 2023/2024. Colorado especially have 9 game streak now and hope Oilers will defeat them.
That first sequence with Ceci and Henrique is the perfect summation of each of them individually. Just sloppy disappointment.

Oilers fans won't like reading this, but I think this game might just be the point where the team will settle for 2nd in the Pacific Division and not bother trying to catch Canucks. If Canucks win the next 2-3, it will be pretty much mathematically impossible to catch up. Even if Oilers win their games in hand, the gap is just too big.
Yup this pretty much did it. Because of tiebreaker the oilers have to finish up at least a point, so even if they win their games in hand they are 6 back but need to be up 1 so 7 points. They would have to have 3 more wins and an OT loss in 11 games is a big ask. Especially with their schedule which has been easy all year up until a week ago.

I might get trolled for this but I don't care. The Oilers are at best a two line team. Defense is suspect. Skinner has been solid after a rough start. To be competitive going into the playoffs, they need depth and total committment. from all lines. Lose 6-3 to the Leafs and 5-3 to the Senators..what? You have time to correct it. You cannot rely on Connor, Leon or Zack. The whole team has to do their thing. Get it before you lose it
