She left the office for a few minutes and when she came back, told us our loan was denied. Mind you, hubby was an E-6 in the military at that time with $0 debt. And we both had good credit ratings. We left and filed the paperwork for the loan via mail and were immediately approved for a loan. I also went to that same credit union to refinance our car which I'd been prepaying. The lady waited until I signed all the paperwork to laughingly tell me I'd overpaid so much, I had $3,000 equity in the vehicle. And that she could have given me the $3,000 in cash as part of the new loan for the car. But since I'd already signed the paperwork it was too late. Huh?! Now, we do business solely with the bank I've been with for over 30 yrs and only keep pocket change in the credit union. Since we're level 5 (highest level) customers, hubby and I never have to stand in line at the teller's window to handle transactions. Everything is done in the privacy of an office with the branch manager or our private banker. Not the kind of service I'd expect from a credit union.

After being there for a little while and because of certain medications, I needed to use the bathroom and asked to use it. It took an act of congress to get someone to care.
