Captains must remain highly vigilant when navigating through Haulover on a busy day. The Captain in the thumbnail almost went into the rocks. Would he have been liable for his passengers? What are your thoughts on this?
I 100% agree. Especially on a boat that size
Totally agree, falling asleep is the pure definition of distracted driving! Every captain needs to pay attention, the closer to shore and congestion requires vigilance to keep their boat and passengers save.
He would ABSOLUTELY BE LIABLE FOR THE DAMAGES TO THE BOAT, PERSONS ON BOARD, AS WELL AS TO THE JETTY ROCKS, ETC 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳
@@SA1NT53 my thinking is no one is a sleep in those conditions and yes he's liable !
Actually the real loser and responsible payee is the insurance company.
If you plan to put a child up front driving through this inlet, at least put a life jacket on them.
Mystery boat at 5:38 is a Canados Gladiator 428
That guy in that little Element boat (is that like 12'?) did a nice job passing into the inlet.
Its probably 16-18' but just looks small and yeah, he did all right.
I thought the yacht wake was gonna do him in. He handled it with some slick throttle control. 👍
The drone shot of the Axopar was 🔥🔥🔥
The element captain has experience....love my sea vee
That guy had some balls taking a Bayliner Element out there
I am surprised we don’t see the jet skis getting run over . The blind spot in front of these boats must be Hugh especially the large boats
They must be hugh* as in hugh grant the actor? Or huge as in big, large? Hahaha lol😂kids these days, dum dum dum
My thoughts exactly, I am surprised they are all in there together
Tune in to the next 2cepisodes
😂 there are a couple on this channel hitting jet skis that I've seen it's inevitable out there I guess the skis are riding like complete idiots
You get these gems of a few minutes by being there for hours of normal unspectacular boating. I wish I had your job! Keep up the good work!
We now have a team in different inlets filming anywhere from 9 - 12 hours a day. It's an enjoyable grind, that's how I'd sum it up. The best part is being able to share it with so many people. 🙌
@@WavyBoats I may be wrong, but I feel like the best part is you making a living off of sitting and watching others. 9-12 hours a day or not, you are just watching boats. That's a decent gig.
I should have became a Florida doctor. They must all be mad rich. Mad 😢😮patients every day of the week.
Second mortgages are a wonderful thing.
I love the red and black axopar beautiful boat. Great job Kap.
Can’t believe how ignorant some of these people are. Especially the red top that has a kid sitting there without a vest.
Yes, complete idiots
It's florida...soo...yeah.
There are a lot of stupid people allowing people and mostly kids ride in the bows of the boat in big waves no life jackets and getting the piss knocked out of them and washed over boards some times all of the weight in the bow on boats that are to small and not disighned to be in the ocean
Unbelievable
That last boat... the Say with the inboard V8, crazy looking hull design. 😳
7:06 THIS guy is a real pro....
That Yellowfin '54 is an absolute monster!
Was wondering how big it was lol. Quad v12...must cruise like a missile on open water
Thanks from Kenai Alaska
Dude at 6 mins in with the blacked out windows thinks he's Hulk Hogan
Tell me if I'm wrong, but it seems that the dual-hull boats do the best in dealing with that inlet.
Also, I love when the is light is just right and the water is that bright turquoise color!!
Wavy Boat's, here we go!
Drone operators really shine, they do an excellent job. Congratulations 😊
That axopar was gorgeous
The drone footage was neat. 👍🏽
Killer shot at 5:55 !!!!
"Hey your weight up in the front is messing up the ride. Move a few feet towards the back. You didn't obey my words fast enough. Let me help you do what I requested."
That Adrenaline Reaper is the sickest CC on the market!!
It's like Nor-tech and Midnight had a baby. Badass boat!
Axopar footage for the win!
That Salt Amor boat is 🔥 the guys who started that are still fishing from the bank on KZhead from what I see. Crazy how life is
Looks like you are having another fun day playing duel dueling drones again. Keep up the great content
7:15 the Adrenaline Reaper looks like my 1986 Nash Executioner.
Axopar brabus looked sick
That Seavee 39Z is the way to go What a boat.
I think the mystery boat looks like the puffer fish 30 😢🎉😂
Awesome drone shots boys! Greetings from Germany👍🍻
That one boat looked like he got close to that jet ski in front of them.
If I were a chiropractor I would have signage near all surrounding boat ramps and marinas close to this pass.
They'd only charge you a million dollars billboard rent...why not?
One thing Ive learned from this channel is the amount of parents that take their kids life for granted
1:35 Miami area chiropractors: "CHA-CHING !!!"
That Brabus is a pretty nice ride!
That Yellowfin tho!
Wavy if you hadn’t given us the slowmo and the captions in the 1st clip I’d have missed the whole thing. Thanks for another great video.
Thanks for being here! Yeah the angle is very deceiving but I held my breath once I saw the line Cap took. 😳
You get Wayy better footage than Thunder on Cocoa Beach and they have helicopters!
Not sure what cameras they use. It's funny you mention it because we considered covering it this year but pulled out last minute.
The mystery boat did the best.
It would be really cool if you had a radar gun so we could see the speed of each boat. Love the vids! Keep them coming.
5:33 looks like a Canados Gladiator
That Sea Ray Cuddy could’ve made it. Would’ve been rough, but they could’ve done it
8:00 Holy Crap!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some of the JUNK people take onto the open ocean is astounding !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That boat should have never left the small lake, where it would be right at home.
I am amazed at the foolishness of the 'skippers' that have people being slammed around in the bows of these boats.... someone's going to get hurt.
Usual fools everywhere , not a lifejacket in site , amazing .
😮 Damn!
I think the captain of that boat that "almost went into the rocks" knew what he was doing. The extreme edges of channels with standing waves in them are often a lot flatter as the water runs a little slower there ..
Lol. No.
That last boat!! I don't know very weird looking
2 seconds from hitting the rocks. Maybe 1 😮
To the gunnel!
That first boat...the operator was talking and looking at the person next to him. Close call.
so many untrained boat drivers scary after boating over 40 years I know how lucky a lot of these people are. Kids flopping all over the place not a life jacket Iin sight and when they do pull them out they are still wrapped up in original covering.
No PFD on a minor should be illegal.
Alcohol is unadvisable when boating
Hey Wavy Boats 🚤👍😺
Bet all those SMALL 18' - 20' boats keep the Coast Guard very busy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL I wouldnt head out on the ocean in anything under 35' and triple engines !
Noticing more and more drones in the shots I’m surprised they haven’t banned those yet, wouldn’t be surprised if they found them soon over the inlet. I would imagine having that many drones out in a small space close to boats that are coming through an already challenging pass is just asking for trouble it would be really easy for a captain to get distracted by multiple drones following the boat, and if there were an accident you can better be a big lawsuit over it. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy the footage is so much as anybody else but they really should be keeping their distance and not flying so close to the boats and so close together.
I bet you are a lot of fun at parties.
That black Axopar was the first one I’ve seen that was properly trimmed to handle the choppy waves, I’m still not a fan of their bow design,
In that NorTech he was lucky he didn't go overboard or injure his back.
World Cat is a boss in the Chop. Said what waves
In these incidents where you see people flying around in the boat I blame both the captian and the person getting knocked around. The capitan should tell people that it will be rough and you should not be sitting in the bow. For the passengers they should be smart enough (yea right) to realize that it isn't safe to ride in the bow when leaving Haulover.
terrified to see all the kids without lifejackets...
I need to come "work" with you! Thanks for sharing all you do!
The second to last boat, the Bluewater, dragging docklines and a fender behind him. SMDH.
At 1:12 you can see a drone, cool
Just beyond me how reckless some people are not only could they be killed especially the children but hate to think of what damage they are doing to there spines
Were going to see carnage one day here.
Is there not a live vest law in this area
That would have made an exciting video 😂
Just always surprises me how there is no speed restriction in the inlet? Also the lack of life jackets. Here in the UK where there is no licencing of boats and captains there are speed restrictions to be found in most enclosed waterways and on some lakes.
It's Florida.
Also, in the UK, electric bikes are limited to 16 mph. 😂😂
Ahhh, it's all fun and games until dispatch gets a call for people in the water after a boat accident. Summer boating has just begun. Gonna' be stupid busy.
Anybody know the mystery boat at 5:40.? Looks cool
Some people just don't belong in a boat
Good lookin.. Contender...lol
Why does a boat decide to bail and do a u- turn? Waves too much? Currents? Both?
So if your in a small boat then you have to bomb through the waves? Outherwise you risk stuffing the bow?
Adjust your speed to get the best ride for your boat in the prevailing conditions
What is with people not wearing life vests?
1st boat, is that hole in the front bottom of the bow supposed to be there?
@7:28 can you focus?
The designers of the last boat/object must have taken ugly pills during the design.
WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE IN THE WATER ??? THAT GUY ( first boat ) NEEDS REPORTING.
Haven't seen the blue top girls for a while. Hope she didn't get hurt the last time she got slammed in high waves
I'm sorry, do all of these boats only run at one speed, full throttle? I thought you had to take a class to be a captain?
Back in the early 2000's I had a 36 Contender with triple 250's. It was a beast in it's day, and I still made everyone sit/stand from the center console back. I didn't want to beat my crew up and I didn't want to beat my boat up like these joy riders do in the inlet.
“Asleep at the wheel”? That’s called passed out at the wheel.
4:19 what does something like that cost?????
I see a 2022 going for $1.6 million right now. 💰💲
You know the rule. If you have to ask you can't afford it. And maintenance. I want all 5 of my 600 R's serviced please. 30 ten dollar spark plugs. Gallon of special gear oil in the bottom of each engine.
@@WavyBoats Thank you! Keep up the good work! Love these videos with Drone coverage!
Is there not other way in ? Less dangerous?
I think that the captains of these boats that are beating their passengers to death with hitting all those waves. Should have a taste of their own medicine and sit in the back of the boat while they get thrashed around
It's gotta be beating the hell out of the boat, too. Screws chew their way out of fiberglass and things come loose and fall off when you treat a boat like that.
Some people shouldn't be in boats. First boat was heading towards the rocks and swimmers.
Is it just me or does it seem like most of these people have no business operating a boat????
Falls asleep? Or to drunk to captain a boat?
I wish you had time stamps for the title event.. I find myself watching your videos over and over looking for the title event..I dont have that kind of time..
It's literally the opening clip. 😂
@@WavyBoats lol.. thanks.. That might be the first time you made the title clip first.
@@WavyBoats maybe do that ..Make the title the first clip..Problem solved..
People that ride in the bow are are just silly.
Those jetskis are annoying.
Fall asleep or passout or nodoff?
The little blue boat, just goes to show you it's how you drive it. Stuffing your open bow is poor seamanship. SLOW DOWN and work the trottle accordingly. Also, anyone watching these videos who boats, are you securing you dock lines and fenders before you depart for open water? WHY DO I SEE SO MANY BOATS WITH UNSECURED DOCKLINES AND FENDERS??? YOUR RISKING A FOULED WHEEL!!! (propeller for the uniformed)
