Heavily modded g305 on 58 grams here! G304/g305 mouse, aliexpress shell, triple a usb c battery which holds like 2 months charge and had quick charge, perfect center balance (Logitech pro is front heavy...) and had a cost of 80 euro's total, added grip tape and extra smooth ptfe glides too!!!
Love the ad at the end of the video rather than right in the middle, makes me wanna just leave my phone up during it rather than skip through it

As a fingertip grip user, I'm still waiting for the mz1 wireless, since the m4 wireless is only 2 grams heavier, I'm hoping the mz1 wireless will be around 60G.

The cost is a major major turn off for me I liked my original g303 cuz it was a reasonably priced mouse I'm still so salty that when me and my fiance separated for a period of time she ended up selling it

very surprising for brian to bring up the g703, I own a g700 and I always feel like these 2 mice are always forgotten. Ive been using this g700 for 4 years, and it has held up phenomenally, good as new

At 19.5 x 11 I have wide wide boi hands. I have to palm grip most mice, including shit like the fk1+ because otherwise my pinky and ring finger end up gripping too hard on the mouse to maintain stability. Palm gripping helps me keep those two fingers almost parallel to the mouse pad, relaxing them and giving them support from the outside edge of my palm resting on the mousepad. The dimension changes to this new version of the g303 sound ideal for someone like me, but almost universally a bad thing for people with smaller hands.

I have the OG G303 and I found that to be pretty comfy to use despite it being smaller and more angular than this current iteration. The major issue with the original is are the buttons which were very prone to develop double clicking or dead switches (I've had to get mine replaced twice). Since the buttons seem to have a crisper feel then I can see myself buying one to replace my Logitech G305 which feels kinda mushy especially after having bought the Razer Orochi V2 where all the buttons feel crisp and have little pre or post travel.
how did you get yours replaced? My og g303 just started double clicking :/
@@brandyyn This was some years ago when the mouse was still around though the second replacement was when the mouse was discontinued and Logitech sent me one of the final batches of G303 and a G403 as a final replacement. I think it was a little past the one year warranty as well. I ended up getting a G305 after that and had to get that replaced after a year and apparently Logitech gave the replacement G305 new switches.

@@brandyyn maybe have someone open up the mouse and have them solder new switches in (get new mouse skates first because I think the screws are underneath that part of the mouse.) and go to reddit forums to see what switches will fit.

Does it have an optical wheel like the old one? I know the old one was loud, but I love how tactile it is, and the switches are perfectly tuned, so even if they are 20M Omrons, they don't feel bad. It's a shame that they didn't go lighter and made it larger, I have the old one and the only issue with it apart from the cable is the weight.

Just wanted to add that unfortunately the double mouse click issue is not gone as my GPW that is maybe 8 months ish old is starting to do it. But you mentioned "logitech" double click issue and I've had the same exact issue with Corsair mice before this which is why I switched. So 4/4 of my mice over the last couple years have developed this issues and I see no end in sight :(
Are you considering doing a revisit of the new Steelseries Aerox 3? They just refreshed it with new (huge) skates improvement

Great review as always. Mouse looks and sounds great. Unfortunately the price is just too steep. Its also nice of you to mention the g703 refresh. Imo its the best ergo for medium to large hards. And people like me are desperately waiting for it.

I bought my G303 in 2016 for 60 bucks cause my shitty Steelseries mouse died. I'm still using it in 2022 and will be using it until it dies. It's an amazing mouse, and I was a bit anxious to have no replacement when mine eventually dies. Glad to see that this mouse has been put into production again.

One review I'd like to see but not many have done is the Corsair Katar Pro XT. It feels like most mice reviewers skipped over what seems to be a pretty solid G203 upgrade due to Corsair's historically underwhelming offerings. That said, I think this mouse could have done better had they got the weight under 70g and given it better feet. Still, it seems like a decent upgrade to the egg

sooooooo much waiting for that g703 I have now been using 3 years modded g403 and just wanna lighter and wireless version would be perfect I have tried g pro wireless xtrfy m4 model o etc lot of other stuff and just always I come back to g403 so I know what to do if it comes... is this goodish suit for me or should I still wait BadSeed?

@@adaml.5355 bought it 2nd hand for £12 and mouse is like 5 years old. Both main switches still fine cause of the metal springs. But definitely prefer the mz1 or orochi clicks

Do you have any lens rattle on your copy of the G303 SE? I've got a bit of rattle above 10,000 DPI (which I'd likely never use), but my Viper Ultimate doesn't rattle even at 20k DPI. Wondering if this little bit of lens rattle at max DPI/DPIs higher than 10,000 is normal in the 303 SE, and whether or not it affects gameplay during flicks and the like. Hope you see this, man, it's driving me nuts and I just want to sort this out while I'm still in the return/exchange window! Much appreciated dude!

Interesting that Badseed has issues with gripping the g pro x superlight, I just got mine recently and it's very easy and natural for me to hold on to it.
Remember that his hands are very wide and large (similar to mine) He says in his videos that he is 20.5cm by 10.5cm, making his hands really wide, so it makes sense why he likes this mouse and the orochi v2
Facts, I always like a wider mouse. Even the Viper Ult works really well. I’ve just never been able to connect with the GPW shape - even in fingertip

Could someone tell me how the scroll click feels? The biggest thing I currently don't like about my mouse is the way the scroll clicks and I use it a lot. Thinking of ordering this mouse

Seems odd to have gone with a completely smooth scroll wheel, I get that it's consistent with the original design, but if you're updating other aspects then why not add some texture? I never had the original so I don't know how well it held up, but I've seen smooth scroll wheels turn all slippery and greasy when the rubber starts to degrade. That could be down to the specific type of rubber, and it might not be an issue here, but you're gonna notice it a lot more on a scroll wheel with no textured grip.
I never liked the egg shaped G703, I had a Mamba Wireless at the same time and preferred the latter. The Logitech mouse also barely lasted a few months before it started double clicking. So I'm still reluctant to buy anything Logitech, as long as they use those knockoff omron switches.

Thank God they're bringing this back. I have maybe 4-5 of these which I purchased during my Overwatch days. One debraided, one with a replaced cable, and two stock ones I found. They were prone to double clicking issues though so I hope that's at least a little better, since I know the GPW suffered from them as well.
Double-clicking is easily fixed with soldering new switches. Switches from popular brands such as HUANO and Kailh solve the issue.

if the clicks are as light as u describe I won't be able to use it at all, I have problems using zowie s2 + za12-b models for the switches being too light and activating mid turn.
