  • At this point, $160 for a mouse is too much IMO. Lamzu, WLmouse, Pulsar, and many more have flagship 4K mice for around $100 that are lighter with better QA. Logitech and Razer need to realize that their pricing is just out of touch at this point

    • Reviewers need to start making a note of this. The majority of us cannot afford a 160 dollar mouse. It can't be justified considering the competition either, as they have the same features for far less.

  • Really good video and long time fan but I wished the conversation about polling rates were more around the sensor itself. I usually like 2k-4k polling rates due to consistency and halfed delay from 1k polling and less about the input delay of clicks. But at the same time I usually never see click latency testing so that's pretty cool!

  • Would love to see reviewers checking the flatness of the base of mice since i have noticed a lot have a banana base which ruins how the skates glide and in some cases like zowie C series mice like the FK most of the bottom skate does not make contact with the pad causing the top skate to be flat and grippy vs a loose feeling bottom skate which ruins the overall glide.

No hate , i watch both of you and follow your content but almost feel like you guys get paid by certain Chinese brands to hype their product , but when is about big brand like Logi or Razer you guys have always somethig negative to say "marketing" , whenever Razer came with 8k ya said it was no noticeable, when ever End Game Gear came with this 8k wired , ya were drooling about. It is Mind blowing, make the credibility of “ reviews “ look bad.

    • @@Expresso_Gaming first off I dont review anymore. I havent for over 9 months now. 2nd Ive never said 4k or 8k is better on cheaper brands. Actually Ive never bought into the marketing hype of 4k since the start. Anyone who follows me on socials knows that... I personally was hyped about end game gears OP1 wired series because the value gamers were getting with multiple low price points. and I ultimately purchased the regular 1k version with my own money. While empirical data done by sites like Rtings is important for seeing where the average is for the industry and how close brands come to their claims, its far from something that translates to a night and day benefit to gamers as some like to sensationalize. Also that is what Badseed was trying to convey in this video. My ultimate goal when speaking on polling rate is to make gamers feel comfortable with using their current gear if it still operates fine, and to not be sucked into the FOMO of this from any brand. That all said, from a hobbyist perspective I love the advancements in sensor tech and switches, its just cool to see where brands can go with it. *I edited this to add: There is no "better" or "best" in gaming mice, these days it really just comes down to subjective points and what each gamer is looking for. Luckily we are flush with options from many different brands.

    • @@Expresso_Gaming my original reply went away? so ill reply again. First off, I havent reviewed for over 9 months, I stepped away entirely. 2nd , I never claimed cheaper brands had better 4k or 8k implementation, nor have I ever bought into the 4k/8k polling hype from any brand actually. Anyone who follows me on socials knows that.... In terms of the OP1 wired series, I and others were hyped about it because of the value it provided for gamers across multiple low price points. I personally purchased a 1k version of the mouse with my own money. Back to polling rate, while empiracal data from sites like Rtings is valuable for setting a standard and fact checking if brands are true to their claims, its far from a night and day difference as many like to sensationalize (also what Badseed was trying to convey in his video) That all said, from the perspective of a hobbyist I love the advancement in tech and its great to see what brands can do to squeeze more out of peripherals. In the end I just want gamers to feel okay with using their current gear if its operating fine and to not get pulled into the FOMO around all this created by brands. One last point, there is no "best" or "better" mouse, these days it really boils down to personal preferences and its extremely subjective. Luckily we are flush with options from several brands.

Less money on marketing (8K), plus latest optical switches.. and more on quality materials and components. Decent scroll wheel and tactile switches that don't feel, ping and play like mush. • The 8K polling not only wrecks battery life but it also substantially impacts your system CPU performance and can easily overwhelm weaker CPUs to the point that you can actually be throwing away a lot of FPS from you game just to get an extra 0.1ms less of latency. It's completely insane and I would love for this trend to stop already. 1k is great, 2k at most. Above 2k you are just wasting your system resources. If this doesn't stop we will see 30K polling rates soon that will literally HALVE your in-game fps for an extra 0.0001ms less of mouse latency. I have a DAV3 Pro and I still use the stock 1k dongle. Zero regrets. I tried a razer 4K dongle from a friend once and couldn't for the life of me tell absolutely any difference, with both laptops side by side with both mice connected. And Razer now also has 4k polling keyboards... why??? Your system WILL DIE with an 8k mouse + 8K keyboard.

I only use the stepped scroll while gaming whereas I frequently use the infinite scroll while surfing the web and its ergonomically far nicer using the smooth scroll while using office programs such as MS Word and PDF's or when reading ebooks. Curently I'm switching to my 40g Ninjutso Sora V2 only for gaming and back to my Logitech for everything else. I do also wish light gaming mice had a sniper button though smaller version that the G502 X has as it makes a really convenient Discord voice chat button i can use while I'm actively shooting for faster calls without disrupting my gameplay.

I agree with your statement about polling I'm still using all the mice at 1k polling cause when you go wireless battery life is the most important factor to me. That fuck you enter keycap at the end is a nice touch ahahah

  • It sounds pretty cool as this one does seem to solve many of the issues i had with the OG Viper such as flatness and flares but just checked locally, 200€ on the dot is just a no-no in todays market. Loved the polling rate part, the placebo driven Andy's are coming for you so sleep with your eyes open. Their most common argument is "your setup bad" so lets see what they'll come with at you who have tried everything premium.

  • Higher polling rates are not about latency (even though marketing wants to convince us of that) but about fluidity. Especially on high refresh rate monitors and higher DPI, you can absolutely see (and i guess therefor feel) 4k and 8k. But 8k on my V2 Pro sucks, wouldnt recommend. I do enjoy your reviews and your glorious beard though ♥

    • Even more when using acceleration programs like RawAccel. Higher polling rate + motion sync + high dpi (lowered later down the chain) will make sure no matter how fast or slow the wipe is, it will always be pixel perfect (not taking into account human error)

  • 5:50 "i dont have replacement feet to replace this" ... its pretty wild a mouse reviewer doesnt have dot skates laying around. Im not a youtuber and i always have dot skates just in case i need them for replacement.

  • Honestly, this should have been a different line altgether. The profile and not fingertipping the mouse as easily makes this really different

  • 2:11 the old logitech g500 had the sensor up there too, made for really intuitive flick aiming. Most gamers have muscle memory for centered sensors, would take a few hundred hours dedicated to a forward sensor to start getting a proper feel for it. There's a happy medium between centered and forward for both general feel and flicks.

  • That price is crazy. I really think reviewers need to push back against these insane mouse prices now. I got a Pulsar Xlite V3 Large and it's almost half the price of this with the same features other than polling. It's really not worth it.

  • I've gotten to the point where I'm taking my mice apart and sending them out for cerakote because of the wear on them. At worst it will be a touch slick from sweat/oil but it doesn't wear down at all so far after 6 months when normally I'd be seeing clear wear pattern on the buttons and all. Quick wipe down and good to go.
