HOTTDAMN Frank shoots better B-Roll than most tech companies! That intro was sick
isnt that just from razer itself
No, I filmed it all.
i thought so too
@@ethanbaerts9721nah the keyboard in the toilet then is from Logitech themself
@@randomfrankp incredible stuff.
OK, for starters that intro sequence was FIRE! Secondly... I was really excited when I heard there was a V3 pro coming.... after you describe the changes and shape I think i have to skip this sadly. I've mained the V2 pro since release, trying only a few other mice with unique designs to double as wall art LOL (hello Gravastar mouse!) but I tried the superlight x as well when it went on a sale once. I unfortunately HATED the feel, I could not get comfortable on it at all. I love the grooves in the mouse buttons keeping me low, I love that the overall profile was lower on the viper v2, the side buttons never bothered me at all (i didnt realize people were complaining about em tbh, my only issue is im pretty sure my back one is developing double clicks)... to see it just become another slight variation on the logitech mouse genuinely saddens me as we get less options
I feel the same way as you! Though I’ve mained the superlight since it released and I never liked the shape, just haven’t decided to buy a new one since I wanted to “get my moneys worth” by using it. I tried the viper v2 and fell in love with the shape since it was lower profile. Too bad the v3 is basically identical to the superlight now :(
@@thesurant7271 yea I felt less bad about it because I bought it on sale and had plans to sell it to recoup some off the "loss" before I ended up moving twice rather quickly. So now it's just chilling in a box. I'm thinking about trying to get a beast x pro or whatever those are called from WLmouse. Seems to have similar shape to viper V2. I have a finalmouse but it's too close to wall art as well lmfao. maybe if I got the newer ULX which looks a little less special than my achilles edition.
imagine if someone asked
The V2 is for people with micro hands. I absolutely love the V3 design, it’s one of the only lightweight mice aside from the GPX that actually feel good in my hand.
@@yslowl237 I've seen a ton of people say they really love the V3 so Im clearly in the minority. And tbh I want to try it out and see how it fits for my style, but I've always preferred the lower style mice for myself. It does seem like more people get to enjoy it now though which is better so
I miss the original Viper with the dock.
Agreed and I still use it everyday. Best mouse I have ever used.
The original Viper has a garbage shape and the dock is less than useless.
I love the dock on my Viper Ultimate and it's extra minor features. That's what's keeping me from upgrading
@@re4796nah still better than gpx
Loved the Viper Ultimate when I used it, but man the features of the V3 are just so much better.
Frank, you make some great looking shots and b roll, you defo should be a lead on a marketing team. So talented
frank's b-roll game has always been phenomenal, but god damn i actually love the shot at 4:14
The thumb rubber grip started to disintegrate and the large gaps ontop allowed more dirt than necessary to get in, were my main gripes with the Viper 1. This looks like it covers those bases.. I hope they make a white one. *Awesome they do!
Great video as always! Price comparison is a bit faulty though, ultimate is at 89.99, v2 pro at 116.99. Cheers :)
Great review as always! I was happily surprised to see EloShapes make an appearance :)
I was a logitech customer for a long time but the pricetag on the g pro superlight made me look elsewhere. maybe its time to go razer. nvm its also expensive
I've been running the GProS for about a year now. Overall it's a great mouse but the skates have needed replacement. My use case has me using the scroll wheel a ton and that has had some effect on the scroll sensor, its now at the point where only about half the scrolls work as intended. I use it 8-10 hours a day, but I'm still disappointed with how quick it went bad.
just buy the cheaper viper v3 hyperspeed or some other mouse. there are many great options on the market.
get rhe xm2we
@@Dark.Syndicate im just gonna stick with my $50 g305
Logitech took too long to move to USB-C that I was forced to move to Razer.
the variable report rate when gaming or desktop mode is cool but as a general rule for high polling rate mice is to keep them charging when not gaming, should be starting a session with 100% battery.
I haven't tried a different mouse since I got the DeathAdder Chroma. I currently use the DeathAdder v2 Pro and for me its perfect. Once you find a mouse that just fits you right there is no need to change.
Hey, Thanks for the review. Would you say it's good pick for claw grip and 18.5 by 10.3 hands?
I'll still be sticking to my v3 Hyperspeed as I've grown attached to it :] but the v3 Pro really is impressive
Does updating the Deathadder V3 Pro and the dongle to the latest also has the in-game polling rate option? or just the default polling rate setting?
I do feel the same with the design that i prefer when it is unique and you just KNOW thats a razer product and not just another superlight like mouse. That said i feel my ONLY issue i even have with it is instead of it needing to constantly being smaller, i want a wireless charging dock. That is probably the only thing stopping me from getting this since i have a fairly solid mouse as is.
your videos look so good and of incredible cinematic quality! Thank you 🙂
Love the VU2, shame they've changed the shape but from a market perspective it totally makes sense. Wont be upgrading this time around.
I'm definitely considering picking this up the moment it goes on sale. I've been maining the v2 pro for the past year and a half and it's feeling like time for a change. Nice to see its a bit of an upgrade. My only consideration is I'd like to try a superlight 🤔
If you're going to have to choose one or the other, go with the viper v3 pro. Gpro is a super overrated mouse.
Man I'm tempted... I really wish razer had more color options for their mice cause the only thing holding me back rn is the impeccable color matching between my custom keeb and my mouse I have going on.
The sensitivity matcher thing is a cool idea
Right? I think that's super cool. Matching DPI with your existing mouse is a great way of lowering the walls around their ecosystem
@@Collin_J ... i'm not sure that's how ecosystem works in this context...
Can confirm that the mentioned crispy and tight feeling main button has been since Cobra lineup. I have a Cobra wired and can confirm that the same feeling is there too! 5:30
Is it better than Viper Signature? I know the sensor of the v3 is better, but what about the other specs?
Grabbed one today. Its like the Deathadder V3 and the Viper had a baby. Im really liking it!
Why did Razer start going for that minimalistic design? The new shape of the Deathadder is great, however, I feel like the old look of their mice with the original Viper and Deathadder was way more appealing, now their mice are starting to look just like every other generic brand.
it looks like a "real" mouse now
Because it’s called adapting to the market. They’re appealing to gamers who are gonna be doing stuff like playing competitively and not more casual gamers. Nobody is taking your deathadder from you.
still hoping for a viper mini wireless
literally all i want
literally I am still using the viper mini wired...sad I really want a wireless
have you tried the cobra pro?
@@Khual same here. It doesn't even fit my hand but I've been using it for about 5 years now and haven't found a justification to replace it.
@@Jakers90 too heavy
I like you tend to bounce around on my peripherals but I've been maining the DA v3 Pro since launch. However I tend to swap to my Basilisk Ultimate or G pro wireless when my wife is sleep because the clicks are quieter. Would you say the clicks on this are just as loud as DA v3 or more like the GPX?
Would love to see reviewers checking the flatness of the base of mice since i have noticed a lot have a banana base which ruins how the skates glide and in some cases like zowie C series mice like the FK most of the bottom skate does not make contact with the pad causing the top skate to be flat and grippy vs a loose feeling bottom skate which ruins the overall glide.
Looks like the Viper and the GPX had a baby. I dig it.
I like the opening very well done, you should have done the reveal for this
Looks better than that AA powered madness downgrade that was the last Viper
Did Room Tour Projects stop or what happened ? miss that alot actually
What's the site for comparing the outline of the G Pro and the Viper v3 pro?
YEOOO THIS CAME OUT WAY SOONER THAN I THOUGHT
Awesome shots of the V3 Pro, man!
I knew this was coming soon :) Hoping to see you active on Threads.
my only problem with razer was the lack of large skate that the G pro has. Now they have create the best mouse my eyes have ever laid on eyes.
Signature edition or v3 pro?:)
Big mouse feet also means you have more leeway in the feet slots to experiment with other feet of different shapes and sizes.
Had me with that intro, despite not even being in the market for a new mouse. lol
This is great, now waiting for the mini version of this and maybe less pricing.
Good god can we get more lightweight asymmetrical mice? I think Glorious is the only company putting them out right now.
that was some nice sniping gameplay dude
I was just about to buy the deathadder to use a pure fps gaming mouse as I already main a basilisk v3 pro but I think I might have to go with this! If only they had a mini
Great review, thank you!
Actually like the look of the mouse shape wise. I’m a big fan of the super light, this looks like something that could give it a run for its money
Just received my Viper V2 Pro yesterday, should i return it and get the V3 Pro or stick with it?
is this worth an upgrade over the Pulsar X2
What is that box cutter you have RFP??
Your forgot to mention if there is any loss in features if you don‘t use the software because there is a profile safe function? Battery indicator and motion sync working without software etc.?
Have my V3 out for delivery right now, upgrading from a V2 pro. Curious to see the difference.
i want them to update the ultimate, love the shape of the ultimate and I need something that can be wireless charged to replace my 2 ultimate
can you please review the VXE R1 Pro and maybe compare it with your pulsar x2
i really cant wait to the lightweight version of the g703 from logitech but if we look the case of the g pro x 60 so i only can dream about it for now
Now a new mini!
I wish they come out togetehr
What would you upgrade. I honestly don't need anything else for my viper mini
@@fumangus69 wireless
@@fumangus69 to be more reliable. they have bad quality control, and a new mini should be lighter now that this is 54 grams.
@@fumangus69 lower weight, wireless, better sensor, better switches (mine were creaky), make shape wider
Cool new Razer G Pro Superlight !
If only i needed a new mouse, its kinda like mechanical keyboards, I have a few but I always want the new shiny shiny.
frank made a review before razer uploaded their promotion video, what a chad
I wish the buttons didn't have any sidewall but the rest sounds amazing
I think vs the superlight, polling rate is a very theoretical advantage, the 6 grams is cool but not gamechanging, but the one HUGE advantage that people forget about is how TERRIBLE the GPX side buttons are, and everything that I have heard about the viper is good in that regard
My exact thoughts. Picked it up and the side buttons are night and day better than the gpx. Great coating as well.
Hi.... About the g502 x plus wireless how is it going after 1 year?
By so far the best reviewer
Geezus where did that intro come from.... I legit thought he was playing the actual Razer ad video for the mouse
can you check the ajazz aj139 pro? cause that mouse looks exactly like this one and it was released months ago
the skates looks great too
I hate the shape change, the reason i used V2 Pro was its shave was much better then Superlight of witch i hate the hump, if V3 pro has the same hump superlight does i dont see the point in it anymore and will go for a different brand most likely.
They have to make a mini version of this. It'd be perfect.
i think this is gonna be te razer's goat of the year, im not into lightweight mices, but i know its extremely pleasant for large movements, i like the Basilisk line, im not a fan of viper or deathadder but i really REALLY loved this one Viper, maybe I'm going to buy it for myself
What's the name of your mousepad?
I just can't get over the stupid Razer Synapse bloatware. (I love my DAV3 Pro) You basically need to check what is saved on you mouse onboard memory profile (prior to buying any razer mouse and don't lie you don't) once you set everything up and forget it after you try this disaster. And I have to admit that the in game polling rate switch is great idea to save battery - 1 KHz for browsing and general use but once in a game switch to more speedy 4 KHz input but you have to use the Synapse soft or is it saved alongside other thingsdirectly onboard? If yes, then I would consider the purchase. Can you imagine if they could provide you with a in-browser setting like with the Wooting keyboards? Nothing to install with all the control inside your browser. They would dominate the sales....
none of the videos i have watched showed how it charges. I get plugging in a usb c. but my ultimate v2 has a charging dock. is the dongle a dock or nah
woah, I would buy if I could afford, great video bro
thanks for confirming its just a g pro x copycat cuz i highly disliked the shape when i tried it. i love the viper ultimate/v2 pro shape
this video was that good i just picked one up for myself..... what a great video
Finally, an available real upgrade from the superlight, yes its somewhat boring, but oh well, I dont really mind.
I got the razer viper 8khz for 11 months and it’s still feels brand new should i upgrade
Someone tell me, what is better to buy for my big palm grip instead my old Logitech g502 lightspeed?
I gotta say, these intros have been getting quite spicy 👌🏼
Not sure if I'm the only person who received a faulty unit, but my scroll click is broken. Does not allow to scroll while holding the scroll wheel down. Also will open 3-5 tabs when using the scroll wheel to open new tabs. Otherwise i like this mouse a lot.
i Just got the Deathadder v3 today
I won't lie Frank. I loved both the black and white versions of the Viper V3 pro. Since I have a Viper V2 Black, I figured I should get Viper V3 Pro White.
the texture on the white is significantly diff from black, and not a good one.
DPI matcher is genius!
Needa get a olpf for that camera.
I would really miss the stand from my Viper Ultimate if I upgraded. That's my main problem, I love it
You can use magnetic cables
Magnetic cables =/= docking stand.
Frank is this better than deathadder v3 pro
We need new MINI, wireless, new sensor. 2K hz is a plus
Wow, the seemless DPI adjustment as well as the sensitivity adjustment to your prior mouse are actually quite epic.
Weird I don’t see the auto switch polling rate while ingame any ideas ? lol
Bought the DeathAdder V3 Pro 2 days ago :( Today I also bought the Viper V3 Pro, someone stop me from buying more mice...
Two versions of the Viper Pro, before even a Viper Mini Wireless lol. Still hoping...
I just looked into the switches, Razer seems to advertise "Razer™ Focus Pro 35K Optical Sensor Gen-2" instead of Gen 3 like mentioned in the video. I wanted something ambidextrous but still can't decide what is best for now.
The switches are Gen 3, the sensor isn't the switch.
Thanks for the clarification. I'm new to gaming gears and the terms for hardware can be overwhelming at first.
I bought the v2 pro and 2 days later they release the v3 and I had to return the v2 lol
Never wasting money on a Razer mouse ever again. I bought the basilisk, 2 months (if that) into using it the right mouse button literally disintegrated off with just casual use. I tried relentlessly to get them to give me some sort of a deal / refund back but they stated it didn't fit their policy. smh. I'll go back and buy a steelseries mouse that'll last me the 7 years it did for cheaper.
they do have bad qc. I hope it gets sorted out this year.
Steel series is superior
@@RavusRiven which mouse is best as a basilisk alternative?
I've heavily used 2 razor mice for 7 years and they are like new, what kind of ungodly force are you applying sir? It's a mouse not a power tool
@@cds5067 bro it was regular everyday use, i don't click very hard (and a good mouse you shouldn't have to anyways) the plastic literally broke off / disintegrated. but i get blamed for that.
Dude, your product filming has leveled up. Good work
Must say i still go with my Deathadder V3 Pro. In fact it the better mouse for RH because of the shape (my opinion) except design (+8g) and better sensor 35k instead of 30k the mouses are the same. and who tf is using >16.000 DPI? I play with 400 DPI
Can we just bring back the dock charger?
waiting for a whole slew of gaming mice and mousepads from razer both wired and wireless in the budget range , logitech as well because we have not seen any recent releases also why didnt razer provide an extra bunch of mouse skates with this expensive mice in the box ?
I had 2 viper v2 pros in the last 2 years and both dongles died for no reason after around a year of usage. I like the shape a lot but razer's qc is pretty bad for the amount of money they charge for their devices
Waiting for the new death adder to come out 😁
Im 3/3 razer mouses with damaged left click switch damaged/fail within a couple of months. No more
This mouse will create a new generation of Palm grippers just like they did with the Deathadder 😭😭 it took so long to break the habit
