I love Wootings response to Razers release: „We are feeling flattered, that other companies are implementing similar technology to their products than ours! We feel that competition is good for the market!“
Where did they say this
@@Antayera In one of their recent livestreams on twitch
They can be confident because their product is still way ahead
@@its_Frax That’s awesome.
wooting has always been based
No matter which is better, competition only helps consumers. Bravo to the technologies' growth!
Not under this economic system ;)
"competition" has been around forever yet still copies other brands. i dont support razer and i likely never will.
It's not competition that helps consumers; it's because private property rights are protected. People are given the right to enjoy the success of the product on which they risked their wealth. If 'competition' is the holy keyword, state-controlled means of production would've been successful in creating multiple state-owned companies to compete with each other. Please don't parrot this buzzword; try to research where this buzzword came from and what the person actually said about creating artificial competition that infringes on liberty. We don't need another 'mixed economies' supporter who learns economics from Reddit.
bravo vinc
This is the only correct response!
Well I think razer has something that can one up the wooting. Availability. The wooting is either out of stock or unavailable in some countries.
and also being cheaper haha
It took mine three months to arrive
And price!!
I’ll sell you mines
@@mattlife25 i think they've gotten slightly better from what I understand. purchased mine somewhere in april and received it in about 3 weeks. still something that would make people choose razer i imagine
Brilliant comparison, Steelseries now have their version of Rapid Trigger due to a firmware update yesterday. Would be interesting to see how that performs. Also, would you know how to do the quick item (4 items) on Steelseries for Apex?
I'd love to see you get your hands on the DrunkDeer A75 and give your impressions compared to the Wooting. It's another Hall Effect board that has another Rapid Trigger akin feature, but I'm curious how it stacks up.
The Wooting definitely has the better product no doubt, but it's awesome to see new competitors adopting the rapid trigger feature. At least we will soon have varying options to choose from. Right now, the Razer Huntsman Mini Analog is on sale for $95 and originally retails for $150. Compared to the Wooting, this might actually fit in some people's budget.
i got mine for 58 bucks new
Hey, I've been using the HOTO Compressed Air Capsule for a while now and it's been a game-changer in keeping my desktop clean. The vacuum power and blowing capabilities are impressive, and the keyboard cleaning feature is super handy. Definitely worth considering if you're looking for a reliable cleaning tool.

Corsair K70 max is probably best at setting up actuation distance with its magnetic mechanical switches, and setting 2 actions on 1 key depending how far you press down the button
Hi optimum ! great video! I have watched this many times! Steelseries came out with there own version of rapid trigger! Could you do your own testing of this? I was looking to upgrade my old steelseries tkl!!
I had no idea about this! Amazing video as always. Picked up my huntsman and huntsman mini for less than $60 each. Been bouncing between those two and a G Pro tkl. Going to update firmware and give OW another go.
Wooting really being the disruptive competitor we needed.
Is the update to the analog version only? Or does the mini linear also get it? Cause my friend bought the normal one last week
Amazing video as always. Is this just for the huntsman mini or the entire huntsman line?
im surprised steel series hasn't done this with their apex line considering the switches in their keyboard is closer in line to whats in the wooting
After the Apex Pro TKL launch I sent them an email suggesting exactly what rapid trigger and DKS is. I thought the Apex Pro already had it but when I received mine it surprisingly didn’t. They said something like “Thanks for your suggestion and we’ll consider it”, but never actually implemented it. 😒
This is very true. Both Wooting and SS switches are made by Gateron, both of them uses magnets, yet the Apex Pro released before the Wooting 2HE (Full Size) and didn't have that feature. Yes, SS really doesn't care anymore.
yeah, been asking for this feature for ages
they actually confirmed something like rapid trigger is coming soon, just that they said "something" as to not seem like they're copying
@@eDebt sauce
I'm glad that steelseries recently added the rapid trigger feature too as a free software update for their apex / apex pro series because I always really liked that feature
I think you forgot to tell that this is only applicable for the Analog switch version not the standard Optical switch version
yeah i’m raging tbh
Oh damn...I just got my Razer out of the cupboard to try this. Oh well.
Oh well...I can uninstall the s**t software again now 😛
DAMN
YEAH!! Waste of my TIME!!
I love my Wooting 60HE so much, unless Wooting themselves comes out with another product I will likely never buy another keyboard
I can confirm that
Finally some competition from other companies!
same. But it's good to have some competition, 60HE is too powerful I think.
Same here
I still think the Steelseries Apex pro mini has better switches
Steelseries just did the same thing with their Apex Pro keyboards through the 45.0 update, make a video on that please!!!
Steelseries is probably gonna to do this soon too, they've been making hall effect keyboards for awhile now with the Apex Pro. Topre also just released the GX1 which also has the same features.
Hey Ali, Is the Huntsman Mini the only keyboard from Razer to get this update? Or do any of their other keyboards have the same technology that could benefit from this update?
Can you try the razer hunstmen v3
The only reason why I haven't pulled the trigger on Wooting is because of layout choice and if competition brings that choice to the table then I would feel that It is welcome.
why tho ? they offer both ansi and iso layout, oh unless you're japanese yeah that might be an issue
@@retrofizz727 Sorry, poor choice of words on my part, I really meant size or number of keys. I prefer 75% or maybe even TKL.

Do you know if all these upgrades/changes apply to the Huntsman V2 TKL keyboard?
im glad someone is getting close to wooting but i still will not be replacing my wooting60he when someone inevitably matches them
i tried it on my own Huntsman V2 Analog. Nice to have for sure. I hope such features continue to be refined and become standard in high end gaming keyboards, they're sorely needed.
Hey there, {{3}}! I totally agree with you. It's awesome to see Razer incorporating features from other brands. Speaking of optimizing your setup, have you considered the HOTO Compressed Air Capsule? It's a convenient and powerful tool for keeping your desk clean. With features like high vacuum power and a swift blow function for keyboards, it's worth checking out. Let me know if you need any more recommendations!
steelseries apex pro released their version of Rappid trigger too, and it, does work flawlessly
So is this Firmware update for the regular huntsmanmini, or the analog version? And you have always been able to adjust your actuation with the huntsman mini analog.. I'm confused..
Don't mind more of the wooting features coming to keyboards you can actually find in stock
Fr, wilting is always out of stock
i think it could be good with some more tweaks but right now wooting is leagues ahead
When do your parts come in for your main pc liquid cooled 4090 build come in?? I reeealy want to know how it goes, looking to buid one for myself
wait is it an update for a pro version of mini or for any version? Does this update also add arrow kesy on modifier keys?
please try the drunkdeer a75, 75% keyboard with wooting "tech"
What I like about wooting is the web browser to customizations , no more 50 applications because we aren’t using the same brandys
Does this update count for every razer kezboard or only for the huntsman?
I just love your professional and honest reviews. The comparisons are the best on here.
I think the biggest thing with the wooting board is the fact its more customizable. Anything that allows you to make it more your own is best in my opinion.
Steelseries just added rapid trigger to the Apex pro mini. I’d love to see a video on it please especially since the apex pro mini typically goes on sale for 30-50 dollars less than the wooting which is great.
Really though how come we didn't get this before by now. The rapid trigger feature is just great. Now for others to follow! I'd really like more refined switch with granular range option, but also lower total travel switch like 3mm and just custom set actuation point etc. Want TKL ISO though.
I would love the Wooting to get some kind of programmable per-key force-feedback! I love the hall effect switches, but I like tactile keys!
That is most likely impossible
@@darslei Yeah that does certainly sound like some expensive feature as well if they can it implement somehow
@@darslei It certainly is possible. But it might be expensive.
Needs motors. A LOT of motors unless you only want wasd to do that.
Waiting to see this tech in an ortho/columnar layout. Staggered layouts just feel terrible in games after switching.
Difference is the Razer is just a Laser signal that is broken by a barrier until you hit the switch then it triggers the keypress. The Wooting is a laser firing up the switch measuring the distance and as soon as it changes it triggers the keypress. Razer cant copy that with just Firmware.

Same!
I am leaning towards the Razer one since I rest my fingers on the keyboard while gaming, and trying to measure the distance traveled while my fingers rest on the keys isn't accurate even through Razer Synapse since it doesn't account for my hands being tense while gaming which could increase the traveled distance, it might as well be that I press the keys all the way down every time while gaming without knowing, at which point a small actuation distance wouldn't benefit me. The rapid trigger feature on the other hand sounds great for either keyboard, but since the Razer one is more easily available...😅I also don't know how the keyboard switches being different accounts for the experience, where the Wooting one looks like it uses mechanical analog switches while the Razer one uses optical analog ones, which was marketed as having a superior response rate against mechanical ones. Considering that the differences are so small, I wonder if it is placebo...
Is the loot key macro considered cheating in tournment? @5:09 Just curious since I’m not familiar with e-sports that much
I sprint using the W key instead of the standard shift key. Having both the sprinting and moving forward actions bound to the same key causes all kinds of movement-related issues. The wooting 60HE fixed all those issues for me. Another advantage of the Wooting that people don't mention is the fact that you can literally use any o-rings you want without them affecting your keys' actuation point.
And none of these are 75%
Drunk Deer is a 75%
Guess adjustable actuation is only available for the “analog” huntsman/huntsman mini variants? I have the regular huntsman mini with up to date firmware and synapse software and the actuation tab doesn’t show up.
Can you please review Razer gen2 analog switches ( on Razer Huntsman V3 Pro and Razer Huntsman V3 Pro )

i dont know if i see it being THAT much lower. the best u might get would be if wooting were to sell the module itself aka just the switches, board, and plate without keycaps and case. idk for sure but i might have remembered that being mentioned. i might be wrong tho
@@Sinsanatis Drunk Deer has literally cloned the wooting and sells the board for $110 US.
@@WalkMrJ mm i forget u could make everything around it cheaper. but its only 25 bucks cheaper without the discount. on amazon it 35 cheaper without the discount. but theres a lot less features and not much u can really do in terms of customization. if ur strictly after the rapid trigger feature, it would probably be a good cheaper option, but imo the wooting offers so much more features that i feel its a bit more worth it. its like i dont really ever need anything else for gaming. any more than that would just be to customize it. it is also a bit marketed towards the custom mk crowd
