Follow ups! It's actually $189 not $199, and all 3 switch types WILL be available for purchase from Razer, most likely meaning this will only ever be sold in the orange tactile version so people can buy other switches.
In Europe it's 219€ :(
Soon as Wooting comes out with a 75% layout with all the same benefits of the 64HE........They will dominate the whole gamers market
Black $189 White $199
189 usd is very fair price
@@uhhh684 I'd say $150 is fairer than $189
Razer is such an enigma. They added the Cobra instead of the Viper Mini Wireless people have been begging for, but then they turn around and release a 75% keyboard that makes the vast majority of OEM keyboards look foolish. Price isn't amazing, but Razer seems to give retailers a fair amount of flexibility when it comes to sale prices
yea they really gave us that useless viper mini signature edition 💀
@@adrianyang2192that's not useless at all
you mean the best mice in the world?@@adrianyang2192
Cobra is more or less nearly the same as viper mini (+rgb) so can't complain there Eitherways viper signature is the ultimate viper mini wireless so i would rather same money get that one day in life because that is the best luxury mice made till date Otherwise viper pro and da3 pro are already available and pretty much the most GOATed (non luxury/non collector) mice ever released
Lmao at the person above who said viper mini signature is useless That is literally the greatest gaming mice ever made both in terms of luxury and actual performance in competitive pro gaming. Literally the only downside is the price and even that is justifiable for its magnesium alloy ultra premium body that still weights less than anything else on the market (except zaunkoenig, but that is super mini mouse) and its raw performance that is STILL the best on any wireless mouse
To speak on the volume dial as someone with the V3 i actually think its a massive improvement. The previous design often allowed debris to get in the wheel and mess with its functionality. The new wheel looks a lot more robust and separating it from the mute key should leave less room for similar debris issues. The new design in general looks a lot more durable which is a nice change for Razer
Forget the keyboard, The GOAT has beyblades 🔥❤
Yeah, beyblade burst. Disgrace
man that makes me hellah nostalgic for my middle school days
Man I used to battle in the lunchroom all the time😂
@@madumeracaabisuch detailed designs only for them to fall apart so quickly. I know that’s the intention but I can’t with them 🥴
You pick the wrong product, mate.
Love the review frank 👌 professional as always
Lovely video! It maybe is true that 80% of users may prefer liner switches, however as I am a typist and not a a gamer, THIS is exactly what I’ve been wanting from Razer for years: an RGB at 65 or 75% with tactile switches (and hot swappable so could put some Holy Pandas), in an ISO layout, with some lube and foam (as I am not good at modifying keyboards myself). I’d love to see the exact same configuration in their 65%. The things I’d love to see would be to move the usb port to the left, a coiled cable, maybe wireless mode and maybe the rgb Razer logo in the front of the keyboard. For my needs, this is the best keyboard they’ve come out with so far. What’s also missing, is a plastic keyboard cover…
The asmr and sick keyboard breakdown. loved this video
I ordered one shortly after a few reviews praised it and got it yesterday. Very happy with it so far. :)
Kind of interested in this keyboard and the tactile switches since I'm doing mostly coding and other office stuff. I've loved the Gateron Yellows which are same force of 50g.
Damn went into this thinking I would not even be remotely interested based on recent Razer releases but they did a good job with this one, well done Razer
I bought a linear switch gaming keyboard around 6-7 months ago, and man I hated the fact that there is no resistance whatsoever, 7 months later I accidentally press buttons all the time, it’s incredibly annoying. But I couldn’t pull the trigger on buying a new one since it’s only been 7 months and I thought I’d get used to it eventually. I ordered the blackwidow v4 75% last night and I can’t wait
The Razer board I've been waiting for ❤
Looks like a great keyboard with some welcome additions from the custom modding scene Price is a little high for my self to replace my hunstman te tkl but definitely a good refresh from razer
Everything I assumed about this keyboard, even while watching the video, surprised me on what Razer is doing. This is definitely something I am interested in as far as looking more into it. Thanks Frank!
At least a user friendly keyboard from Razer. But for me the best from Razer is still the Huntsman TE with foam mod, lubed optical switches and stabs, tightened switch stabilizers. Stock is one of the worst very loud because of the loose switch stabs. But in a few hours with a little magic you can imagine... It could be pretty silent :) Anyways nice video as always! Keep up the great job. Cheers
awesome review! it's definitely an upgrade to my blackwidow mini v3. the only thing they are missing is the micro keys on the left side of the keyboard that wouldve been 11/10.
I used linear switches exclusively in every keyboard i bought, and I actually don't mind these at all.. They feel good af, and it legit does not feel that drastically different from the linears I was using. It feels so good to game, and to type after about a day of getting used to them. I do not care to go buy all the parts separately, or and then building it. This feels like a very premium product straight out the box, and I think that's who razer was marketing this for. I give this a 10/10 I still can't believe how good this thing feels.
Yea the Orange switches are really nice. The tactile bump is very slight.
it looks amazing! no rapid trigger tho?
Thank you for mentioning the Azoth, it's my favorite keyboard in over 20 years and can be had for around $200 quite often. I think the added wireless and BT options, switch options, BPT keycaps, OLED screen is definitely worth $10 more and probably even $60. However I'm excited that Razor has made this keyboard now we have two mainstream brands touching the custom/mod market. It's a good time to be a keyboard lover!
Yea but now someone like me doesn't know which one to get lmao I am trying to watch alot of videos on both but still idk
The Azoth has wireless, but the Blackwidow v4 has chroma game integration.
@@unholydonutswhat is that? Sorry i don't know it
Armoury Crate is reason enough to not purchase any Asus keyboard. And the Azoth OLED has been reported to burn in rather quickly.
@@syberpunk For what it's worth our Azoth is approach a year old and no burn in after constant use. When I switches to my GMMK Pro then Neo65 one of my sons took it as his main. He doesn't use the software and neither did I. We did eventually replace the switches with WS Morandi linears though as he wanted linear rather than tactile.
Have a few custom keyboards, this one is great. Really impressed. Needs better stabs but the switches are great.
Keep up the great work Frank. You know what you're doing. :)
Same
Received the white version today. Very nice keyboard and i really love the Orange switches. So satisfying to type on. Board sounds great too.
Great vid, does this come in full size?
how would you compare the orange v3 vs orange v2? I'm afraid the v3s are going to be too heavy. i like a 45g tactile but this is 50.
i'll be interested in a wireless version (and ISO layout of course but i suppose this is coming while i'm not sure about wireless version). but anyway i want to know a thing. is the wrist rest staying attached even if i lift the keyboard or the magnetic force is not that strong and it falls?
What type of keycaps does this support. Is it only ones from Razer or can you use cherry style keycaps? I'm referring to usage with their switches. Obviously I know you could change the switches out for non Razer ones.
Way to go Razer. I use to have Razer keyboards everything until I got into the custom keyboard community for years at this point. It's amazing to see them adopting all this, it will be my first razer keyboard purchase in a very long time. Can't wait.
you have custom boards why would you spend money on this
Crazy to see Razer offer a hotswap board, let alone something with this level of customization. Hope HyperX catches on and they release their Aqua Tactiles for purchase on their own
Hey Frank, I don’t watch as more as I used to. But considering I had my eye on this when it was announced, you were the first stop for me to wait for a review for. Your professionalism and your opinion (being close to my own) helps with my desicionmaking, thanks!
This channel is so essential when you're first starting to build your own set-up
Could you try out the 8bitdo nes keyboard to see if its any good. Love the retro style and would like to know if the quality lines up with the price.
Nice, once they update the huntsman with these extras and keep the optical switches I'll think about upgrading
Love to see the direction Razer is going in. The fact that they're gonna be selling their orange switches separately is also pretty nice! Although recently I did get an old blackwidow lite to desolder, harvest, and mod their previously discontinued orange switches to use in my GMMK Pro... Anyway, couple things I wanted to point out: the new orange switches actuate at 2mm rather than 1.5mm, this board features an FR4 plate as opposed to a metal plate, and that the price is actually $190 instead of $200. That aside, great review as always :D
Yup! They actuate at 1.5mm down from their 3.5mm - aka 2mm
They now put all their switches on sale
They said to use FR4 but in fact they don't. It's still just a metal plate which is relatively false advertising or even scamming.
Imagine if you could swap the tactiles with the Wooting switches or with their optical switches . It would be the best gaming keyboard
It really looks amazing, a VAST improvement from past gaming keyboards. If you intend on switching out the switches or more, i wouldn't pay $190 for this, but I'm so glad gaming companies are realizing how much gaming keyboard have sucked. The internal mods and everything is quite amazing, and helps people who are buying gaming keyboards to plug and play. 75% is my favorite layout so I'm biased, but the fact it includes a scroll wheel too is absolutely wonderful. He flashed the Keychron V1 on screen and that's actually what I bought to build on myself lol. If you buy the barebones kit with the knob, you get an amazing base to put your own switches in for under $100. Have a great day!
Always good to see a company take notes and actually make improvements
@@randomfrankp Absolutely. The only thing like this that we've had for a while was the Wooting.
@@oCloudyThere's literally nothing significant in this Razer Keyboard that makes it any different than other standard keyboards, except the high price.
I'm planning to buy Keychron V1. If i understend correctly the font on the keys is not transparent so it is not backlit. At night, does the backlight from under keys help to recognize the characters on the keys?
@@Empty12345that's just ignorant and factually incorrect lol
I saw all those Beyblades Frank! Used to have so much fun with that when I was a kid
Great review!
Great review! 😮 thank you sir!
It is really strange considering that tactiles are general more expensive and linear speed switches are generally the preference for gaming keyboards.
Man, I remember when you first started your channel. Well done my friend!!!
Don't know if this is a known issues but I purchased two v4 75% for me and my brother after watching this video. Everything was fine for 3 months and now we've both had a lot of double press issues and even bough new stock switches, swapped them with the keys that were double pressing and still have the same issues. We've tried cleaning each switch individually but still get double presses even triple presses. Don't know what's affecting our two keyboards but just so people know that this keyboard isn't as as hyped up as it should've been. Nothing like thinking you're counter strafing in CS2 just to have your shot miss and cause a loss.
I got a replacement product from Razer but unfortunately the problem still persists :(
I like the BlackWidow V4 Pro a bit more, since I do need a numpad for number entry.
Epic , i was thinking about buying the Keyhron K2-K3 but it looks great specially if there are in ISO layout .
I Desoldered a bunch of razer orange switches on an old blackwidow lite, they have ungodly leaf ping and it sounds like they still have the ping. Even after lubing behind the leaf and lubing and filming, it’s still there
Can you disable or delete Synapse, once you configure the board?
75% is my favorite layout, it has all the important buttons without the numpad.
I love the way these bigger keyboard manufacturers are adding the best parts of custom keyboards to their own keyboards. Still waiting for Logitech to come out with their own hotswap keyboard like this. I know they made a g pro x keyboard that's hotswap but the bottom row wasn't standard so I'm really excited to see how they respond to this keyboard and the Asus azoth
Logitech is so asleep on their G series. Their last product was the shroud mouse, and before that I guess the gpx.
I think what razor went for here was a gaming keyboard for ppl who like to type and realistically that makes sense. Personally I have the analog switches on the gamepad so the táctiles work perfectly for me
Can you give me some advice, what is a good switch? I build a keychron with Gateron Oil King switches a year ago and I don’t like them for gaming at all.
Bro I need help, I have a question, the hot key to change rgb for this keyboard is fn+ctrl+theNumber, but when I download the synapse its not working anymore, is it the same with you?
6:25 Razer really putted a lot of love into this keyboard... Really interested to buy one
I use the Razer BlackWidow v3 TKL and while I love this keyboard it cannot bring my Windows system out of sleep mode. But more importantly, it does not have onboard memory. Can you say if these have changed with v4 ? Thanks.
I think Tactiles are a great choice as someone who just bought the ASUS ROG Strix Flare II Animate. Easily the best keyboard I’ve owned and love the feel of the tactile switches compared to my ok Logitech G810 with the Romer G. I tried a linear in the ASUS Claymore II and can’t do linear they feel horrible.
Is there a white version available? Is it wireless?
I love that they released a 75% keyboard! My laptop has a 75% keyboard and I really love the form factor!
Which coiled cable have you used?
Would you recommend this or the asus azoth?
I hope they bring this one out in my layout as well asap, I really need a new keyboard
Wow this keyboard looks amazing, this will definitely make waves
Waiting for white version. Also could be 60 or 65 but 75 is ok too. Happy they don’t use optical switches. I have sticky keys issue with my mini
I have a Razer Blackwidow V4 Pro full size... I'm tempted to switch to this one. For some reason I can't stand linear switches... I returned the first keyboard I owned that had linears... But I also want a quiet keyboard. So I was disappointed the full V4 Pro only had yellows or clicky.... neither one of which I wanted it. I'm suffering with clickies right now; but these oranges sound much quieter.
I think its time for me to change keyboard now! I've been using the razer blackwidow TE chroma v2 up until now, its still working but some color in rgb is no longer working so... I'll put it on my list but ugh there's so many goods mech KB out there!
Thanks for the review. I would hope that in the future you might broaden your rising on the keyboard market. I think this video would be more well-rounded if you included non-gaming keyboards into the mix. If you are going to talk about mods for keyboards but not talk about the companies that specialize in customizable keyboards then it’s doesn’t seem like a complete review. There are a dozen different keyboards that are cheaper than this one and our leaks better in customizability and in mod ability
silly question, what is a Gaming Keyboard? What specific features do they have over a normal/custom keyboard?
What I really like is the wrist rest. I can’t find a good keyboard case that has a magnetic wrist rest
This new keyboard is soo sick. Its amazing to see that razor listens to their customers.
What game is this that was used in the video?
Curious to know if you'll be doing a review of the "Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini" or did I miss it? I really want your feedback to know if its worth it.
This is an amazing board, my only gripe is I wish you could buy it barebones or choose the switches it comes with as I usually don’t like tactiles. I’ve heard these are really nice though so I might try it out.
Don’t buy razer switches they sell em for dumb expensive
Does this come with the bloatware that takes up 1 Gig of Ram just to blink custom lighting effects? I complained to Razor about Synapse software taking up 600 MB of ram with my TE edition and they told me to delete the software and reinstall, same problem, complained again, they don't have a solution. They even acknowledge all your keystrokes are logged. So I deleted all software.
Thank you for the peal. I appreciate that
when does the pro model come out? im guessing it will have rapid trigger?
I have a Razer BlackWidow V3 mini and I don't recommend it, several keys double click and now I turn it off and the battery indicator led keeps turning on even though it's set to off. While typing this I had a problem with double clicking.
I'm still happy with the Asus Azoth 75% The F-Row starts directly above the 1 key and ends directly above the = key, the entire F-Row has no horizontal gaps at all; so F6 is directly above regular 6. This much more natural, i cant see wanting to own any KB unless it has an identical layout.
Bruh why dont just get another one.. its only $200 u can make $200 less thsn a week 😞
True that 75% when f keys is directly above is just better, especially for mmo gaming
Dont get me wrong this is really cool and looks like a really good keyboard but I don't think I'll ever replace my huntsman mini also 2:19 I seen the old gen beyblades on his desk
im loving the og beyblades in the back
I had some difficulty focusing on the keyboard showcase when you had OG beyblades as deskprops
Can this take Gateron Zealio V2 (67g) switches? I think so but not 100% - they are 5 prong. I actually want more tactile but I''m not a great typer so the tactile helps me feel it better
love 75% boards, hopefully more companies start making em
The OG Dragoon and Draciel. I was more focused on those than the keyboard LOL
Does this mean it could possibly be better than the Huntsman V2 TKL?
i have this keyboard and i really like it...i just ordered the linear switches cause im not really a tactile person i have no complaints other than i wish they used a little more lube on the stabilizers and at this price it should've deff came with a carrying case
I hope they either make a Hyperspeed Huntsman or something along these lines.
Can you make a review on the epomaker ek68 pls
Actually sounds pretty damn good. A little hollow but there is basicly no stem wobble thats great.
Why no 2.4ghz wireless connection?
im loving my asus azoth and motodpeed keypad and corsair darkstar setup
That keyboard looks great!
In terms of aesthetics, I agree about this new Razer mkb being the best
So glad they brought the orange switch back!!
Wish companies make tenkeyless with numpads like cooler master's materkeys pro m... loved that keyboard
Its funny that they saw these kinds of take and implement them well, but I'm still wondering their thought process when they made the Cobra
Good to see you FrankP
i want the yellows in the blackwidow v4 75, but they aren't available despite being available in the full size version. guess i am sticking with the blackwidow v3 mini hyperspeed. also get wireless as a bonus
This bundled up with Cobra Pro would be the best default gaming setup to buy.
Good to see Razer and Asus having "gaming" keyboards with better stabs, spacebar and dampening sound. In the past these kbs were rattle-galore.
What gama are you playing here?
My man thats a blast from the past. BEYBLADE? Thats my childhood right there
I love the hyperx aqua, are these razer orange as good? Regarding the linear switches, they are the most popular for FPS, but many of us who do not play competitive FPS prefer tactile
They seem pretty good, and looks like they come from a good manufacturer TTC. Should be as smooth or more smooth than the Aqua. Idk about tactility though as I haven't tried them but have tried other TTC switches.
Will Razer sell 75% PBT keycaps set? Honestly, if you're in the market for backlit, you could only buy transparent keycaps, generic color keycaps or pudding keycaps. I just want a simple but not too cheap looking backlit keycap set.
Is that curly cable inside the box, so not witch one should I buy?
