Woodturning : Stacking of logs 😳
A great experience with stacked hazelnut logs.
I also use small twigs of wood to fill the spaces between the logs and thus avoid using too much resin. The finish is provided by impregnation of resin then Carnauba wax

That’s the fun bit - you are wondering „what is his plan“ 😮
My thoughts exactly! This is one of my favorite things I've ever seen
Thank you. At last someone 45'd the corners like I was taught in shop class 45 years ago. Drives me nuts when the corners aren't eased and the lathe operator starts their process with dangerous square corners flying around regardless of the RPM. Way too dangerous. Thank you again for literally cutting corners!
Jessie Yes that's for sure, it is better to cut the corners because it is less dangerous, less tiring and, faster 😉👍 Thank you for your comment 💕
@@bawbreizhartwood I was glad to see you use the corners you cut off for something. All too often it seems like there's a lot of waste in resin turning.
Agreed man
OMG I keep having a new favourite, you never cease to amaze me. I am 63 and after just starting to watch you, I said to my son ( who promptly laughed) that I might go to carpentry and wood turning lessons. You may have competition from the UK, lol.
Thank you so much Linda I’m very glad you like it ❤️
Had me going until the end with this one. Was trying to figure out why you left the walls so thick but made sense in the end. Wonderful piece. Thank you for sharing.
Terry Thank you very much for your comment, I am very happy that you appreciate my work 💕💕😊
I was shocked by the thumbnail and the guy was out of his mind for trying to turn a stack of logs on a spinning lathe...until I saw the resin being added and the whole block trimmed. That would have been a nightmare had he tried to turn the wood the way it was depicted in the thumbnail.
exactly what i was thinking with the side walls, wasn't until they were just about to part the pestle did i finally work it out :D
I've been binge watching your videos, I am simply running out of words to describe the magnificent works of art that I see.
Harry ❤️❤️thank you so much 😊
The combination of wood and resin is always interesting... Thanks for sharing 🙏
Thank you so much 👍😊
Morgan!! This is an ama-a-zing production!! The video and the piece
Clayton Thank you so much for your comment 😉👍👍👍
Simply stunning. I absolutely adore this piece!
Evve Thank you so much 💕💕💕
7:28 I really loved the form at this stage. It had a very lovely feminine shape. Was kinda bummed it wasn't the final shape. 🙂 Certainly nothing negative about the final piece. As observers, (not knowing the final goal) I think we tend to just appreciate it's shape so much more at different stages.
Kerri hudlin Thank you for your comment ❤️❤️ sometimes I too am faced with a choice to continue my initial plan or to stop when pretty shapes appear🤔
How cool! Love to have something like this for my herbs! Nicely done again! Take care!
Thank you Rachel 💕 YesThis utensil is very practical in a kitchen 😉 Take care 🙏
Thanks for the answer to my comment about the unused bottom of the bowl. I taught 'Shop' for years. I tried to always have my students not throw anything away. Pieces and glue and sawdust made some beautiful projects.
👍👍
As a retired forester, l know wood. But you know how to create art from wood. Exquisite product. Thank you!

Thank you so much 😉
Absolutely beautiful. As a machinist myself, but of of metal its amazing to see other people so good at there craft.. I'd really love to have a go at turning wood, it seems more therapeutic rather than just labour even though you still get the same satisfaction at the end of a well made piece. Bravo sir.
Hi Justin Thank you so much for your comment, I’m very happy that you appreciate my work 😊❤️❤️❤️

Thank you so much Andrew 😉👍
I always like to credit the creators of beautiful works, so God and you done good. Even plain grained wood can be beautiful and interesting in the right setting and for that you get all the credit. Thank you for sharing your time talent and video. Even though I own a wood lathe among many other machines and tools, I am unable to use them due to health limitations, but watching others turn out beautiful things brings untold joy to my day.
Carson thank you for your comment 😉 I am happy to know that my work gives you joy
Great mortar and pestle. I was having trouble figuring out what the end result would be. Well done.

I created a shaker table device using an adjustable speed reciprocating saw and old long heavy duty wood saw blades. It can be mounted vertical or horizontally. Really gets the chance of bubbles out. Also great for shaking and mixing paint, resin, coloring stains, varnishes and the like.
Hi Jessi Indeed the vibrations can be useful when the pieces of wood are entangled between them, I also sometimes use a similar technique associated with other processes 😉
Vos créations sont extraordinaires. Vous êtes un grand artiste 👍🏼👏🏻🙏🏻!!!

Thank you so much Justin , I’m very glad you liked it 👍❤️❤️
WOW! I was not expecting that! What a gorgeous piece and definitely one that anybody that loves cooking would love to have on display in their kitchen. Can i ask, even though you sealed it with resin first would it take on any odours that you would use in it and should you continue to use carnuba wax on it or is it fine as it is. Thank you so much for your talent in both design and woodturning. Shirley.
Shirley cranswick Thank you very much for your comment 😉👍👍 it does not take odors because the wood is impregnated with resin and it does not require any maintenance 😊❤️
Did you only use resin, no epoxy? Audrey, almost 82 and still learning
Amazing work!!
Thank you so much James 😊❤️❤️

Very nice! I was wondering if you ever tried drilling a 3/8 or 1/2 inch hole down the middle or off center or at an angle or part way through or through the sides? You get the idea. Maybe with a different color resin in the holes? Then glue them up. Beautiful work!
TY Why not .. There are many possibilities and we can do a lot of things. Thanks for the idea;)
