Woodturning I'm Trying a New Style
For some time now, I wanted to try an unusual style of assembly that changed a bit from the ordinary.
I used Ash and Massa for the contrast they offer us.
The finish is made with colorless acrylic varnish.
Thanks for watching my video.

I thought that was going to be the top of a coat rack. It would make a beautiful coat rack, with the bowl a good place to put gloves or keys.
Yes good idea Edward😉👍

Unusual turning. I like it! Those spoke type protrusions would be a recipe for me to remove my fingers while turning. I’ll leave this type of turning to someone with lots more experience. Thanks for sharing!

Very artistic and a lot of hand work. Looks amazing! Rather resembles a crown. And I've seen some similar architecture. Still a rather stunning presentation.

Great job!
Hi Rotti Thank you so much for your comment 😉👍
it's very interesting and the craftsmanship is second to none, but I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. If i look at it one way, I like it. Look at it another, I don't. It certainly does what you intended, which is start a conversation. Your videos are always well done.

Looks OK not sure weather I like it
Kenneth blackmon Thank you anyway for your comment😉👍
Would have loved to have seen your plans on this one! This is the most unique turn I have seen you do and it is eye catching to say the least. How do you choose between using the table saw and the band saw for straight cuts?
Thank you very much for your comment, I am delighted that you appreciate the originality of this project 😉👍👍 For straight cuts it is better to use the table saw especially to have a clean result, but I use very good band saw blades so often use the band saw😉
@@bawbreizhartwood Thanks for answering my question. I tend to do that a lot to learn.
😉
Very nice piece, haven't seen anything like that before. You've got a new subscriber.

Hi Porfririo Thank you so much for your comment
A lot of work, but well worth the effort. Very nice. Funny, the whole time I was watching I was thinking of the Flintstones... Hmm. TTFN Sid.
Sid's woodwork Thank you for your comment😉👍 Fire stone ?? 🤔🙃😀

A bowl with legs. Great job! By the way, new subscriber here.
Hi Inthemouthofmadness Thank you so much for your comment 😉👍 I’m very glad you liked it 😊 Welcome to my channel ❤️❤️
What is the solution you applied to this piece? Did you use a sanding sealer or was it simply an oil??? Whatever is was it turned out beautifully!!
Bill Yes I used a pore sealer, then carnaiuba wax
This is the first video, of yours, which I have watched, so I don't know your old style.., but this one is cool! I wondered, for a while, if you were making a clock frame. Perhaps another use for this style?
Stephanie Lovatt Thank you for your comment👍😉 yes you are right I could very well have made a clock frame when I was doing the cover, you are very observant🤔
Quite bizarre but quite lovely too
😉👍
Unusual to say the least
Hi Michael Thank you so much for your comment 😉👍

Hi MANJIT SINGH Thank you so much for your comment 😉👍
Once I saw the concave tooling, I couldn’t help but see the Jelly Beans.
😉
Well it’s interesting, can’t disagree. Might be cool to make one on a tall pedestal as a coat rack.
Hi William It's a good idea !
Необычно , но симпатично . Хотя , на мой вкус , можно было сделать эту чашу и поглубже .
Здравствуйте Евгения Рылова Большое спасибо за ваш комментарий👍😉❤️
Hello, if you don't mind, i have a few questions about your creations. How much planning do you do in order to acheive your designs? What inspires you? Where do you find your Ideas. What angle is your gouge grind at ? Thanks
Good-morning Paul, Each of my pieces come from my head, I draw a lot of inspiration from nature for colors and shapes. Then I draw and create plans so that I can make the piece while respecting a specific objective. Regarding the angles of my gouges, I could not answer you because each one has a different angle, sometimes even for certain projects I modify the angle. It depends a lot on your way of working and your projects.
Not sure what it is. But it was interesting to turn.
Hi Jeff Thank you so much for your comment 😉👍 it's just an experience😜
it's different but kinda cool.
Hi Thomas Thank you so much for your comment 😉👍 I’m very glad you liked it 😃
does the acrylic varnish stay as shiny as it looks all the time ?
Bruce No, it shines less than the varnish with solvent 🤔
Looks like part of a dinosaurs vertebrae. .
😅👍
Aadbhut Karigiri Salam Tamne.
హాయ్ నా ఫ్రెండ్స్ 😉
Perhaps you could´ve turned those vertical stands first (like circular), then cut them and glue them in, saving a lot of handcarving?
harrie houtman Yes there is not only one technique to do this work and your idea seems exploitable 😉👍
Now you have something to wind your extension cord on.
Yes it's sure ;))
Nice idea but not my style. We have to try all the time...
Thank you for your comment 👍

Thank you 😉

The messa must be very dense I would have expected more breakage
Ben rumler yes it's true you have to turn quickly
Well, there you go.
