Woodturning : A Gift from Nature😳

Sometimes we are lucky enough to be able to work with extraordinary pieces of wood.
The burl are difficult to work on the wood lathe because their density is irregular and create a strong imbalance. After several hours of work and a Danish oil finish, the result is magnificent.
Good viewing!!

Bon visionnage!!

  • That was quite a brutal start to the turning ... I've only turned a small number of pieces and had to deal with an unbalanced piece a few times, nerve racking!! I was happy to see you didn't feel the need to add another piece of wood as a base, it was already perfect the way it was ... absolutely stunning piece of wood ... mother nature can indeed show us how it's done 👍

But, watching how you tackled this one has me thinking that I need to just dive in and give them a turn! Morgan, thanks for the inspiration!
