SPICY Pepper Wood! Round 2! Really Nice! - Wood Turning

2024 ж. 15 Мам.
29 021 Рет қаралды

This came to me in a full round log. I cut it in half and turned the first half about a year ago. This is the other half and what a difference! The wood in this piece is far superior in quality! It was a joy to turn! Finished in shellac.

  • Such a cool piece Phil and so different than the last one. I saw that Eagle before you even ask so with out doubt you have an eagle living in the bowl. And he is not going anywhere or he would have flown away when you dropped it. But perhaps the genie put a spell on him and he stayed. I know this turning put a spell on us watching you work your magic. Great work my friend, Gary

My husband got my lathe for my 55th birthday February 2023 and today is September 7 of 2023 so I am very much so a newbie. • Thank You Phil, Thank You Jim in Pennsylvania ... Nice looking bark very pronounced .. I have a lot of pepper trees in my area but enterally different, so my pepper trees are probably just a slang expression for the little peppery balls that litter the street. This turning seemed to give you zero trouble, at least after you glued the entire bark back on. I see that line you commented on at 13:41 and I wonder if it was from your thickness gauge? I do not know.... Another wonderful turning Phil & I look forward to next week ..... TM

    • Yup, many comments pointing out the line from my calipers, Tuffy. Dang it! Never had that happen before. Must be because the wood is so soft. I need to be more careful. Thank you, my friend! 😊

  • Very pretty bowl. Nice grain and love the bark. Yes, I do see the genie lamp with a little puff of smoke, too. Those lines are very interesting. I thought I got a glimpse of one on the inside, too.

  • Hi Phil! I watched yesterday, Thursday, but commenting today, Friday, (well in reality Saturday 🙄) I had a migraine yesterday. All better now. Fun and beautiful bowl. I got excited when I heard F&W, but oops, nope. It looks great anyway. I did see the (bald) eagle, my favorite bird of prey! 🦅 I also saw the Seattle Seahawks logo! 😂 And Aladdin’s lamp. 😉 I saw the bird on the bottom immediately! Pretty much on the inside too. I watched the French fry maker video. I was craving fries after that. When you make more fries, enjoy some for me too. Have a spectacular week my friend! Lots of hugs headed to you! 🌸✨💫 Roma 🦕 🌲💚🌳🦅

  • Phil if you watch the video , when you hecked wall thickness ,the callipers put that mark in. You would have removed it when sanding the inside. Obviously the outside was already completed so the line remained. We love your videos, keep it up& we hope your health ih good. Regards Allan Sharp Kent England

  • Gorgeous vessel. Routine content. Time worn dialogue. Comforting flow to a brand new project. Like a novel by Dick Francis it will have a connection with horses and the hero will have to overcome a physical challenge + will include info on a new topic like wine maling or crop dusting. Every book exactly alike and each one completely different. I love the surprises but I love the sameness as well! Phil is a peerless content creator! Thank you good sir!
