  • I love the smell of black locust! I cut up a downed tree while visiting family in Massachusetts and flat rate mailed some bowl blanks and little slabs to my house in AK. So far I’ve made a small bowl and a letter opener. While letting the wood dry in my garage it oxidized to a vibrant green on the surface. first I thought it was mold but after carving through it I realized it was the wood itself turning color. Have you ever seen that?
