  • The Lucas Oil Ocke Mannerfelt hull is the future of the Superboat V Extreme class. There is no other V hull out there that can stay with it.

  • I just bought the rc version of the miss geico and what is funny is I get it up to around 110mph and the real thing gets up to around 210mph or a bit more..GREAT BOAT!!

  • one comment ive watched numerous videos on US offshore powerboat racing and videos on various US boats with thier claimed top speeds etc how is that none of these boats run in the world class1 offshore championship as i dont think thats the world championships as claimed as none of the regular class 1 world championship boats are in that race they are all american boats

    • I believe compared to this, the class 1 boats are regulated by rules, like they have max horsepower etc in order to participate. They used to not have that but it was unfair competition then.

    • اصدقائي مرحبا بكم لنبدأ بمثال؛ لو أن مديرا أو رئيس مصلحة جاء وتحدث بالاحترام مع موضف بالاتخاذ قرار فصله من العمل لسبب ما ،لنقل مفبرك ماذا تظنون ذلك الموظف فاعل؟! سيتصرف بالاحترام ويحاول إثبات أنه لا يستحق الفصل وسيحاول الحفاظ على منصب عمله حتى وإن طلب منه من فبركوا فصله من عمله رشوة، أما لو جاء المدير وتحدث بأسلوب نابي وعنجهي وأساء الأدب مع الموظف فإن الموظف تحت وطأة الغضب سيتصرف تصرف عدائي، حرب بين الجزائر والمغرب سيجعل الجزائر تتصرف تصرفات عدائية ضد الجميع، أما مع إيطاليا أو إسبانيا من أجل ضرب حزانة الثروة مع حصار اقتصادي مؤقت سيهذهب الجزائر مما تتهذب الفرس الجامحة كي تصبح مريحة عند امتطاىها،هههههههههههه

    • Tech Cave Yes you are correct, Lucas Oil is not in those cat classes it's in the V bottom Superboat Extreme class. But Lucas won its class over the white boat and came in 3rd overall. Superboat doesn't give a trophy for the overall placings like the European organization does but Lucas was the 3rd boat crossing the finish line behind GEICO 1st Overall and the 03 MTI 2nd. To give you an idea of how significant that achievement was, Lucas Oil was powered by 2x1075 Mercury Racing engines, and the two cats that finished ahead of Lucas were powered by 2x1650 Mercury Racing engines. That's a power deficit of 1175hp against Lucas. And Lucas passed the other two cats, ALEX AND ANI and Envy. I believe if Lucas ran the same engines as the top cat class it would give the reigning World Champion GEICO a serious run for its money. Oh BTW I hear Lucas is planning on breaking the recently set world V bottom speed of 180.47mph and with 1650s I have NO DOUBT Hook and Silferberg can do it. In fact they said the boat should break 200 with that power. We'll see. They may need more than 3300hp to break 200...

    • Julian S. Yes you might be right. Turbines would be the way to go to get that kind of reliable horsepower but I think they want to stay with piston engines. After the Outerlimits V bottom broke 180 with 1650s, Lucas Oil is definitely getting ready to break the 200mph barrier.
