That boat was truly unstoppable with turrbines...I'm kinda glad they went back to piston motors though, it allows for more competition which is what everyone wants...

Oh, Miss Geico was the name of the boat, I don't seem to remember this at all. Just recently the guy from Bike and Beards acquired the OCC custom bike associated with this power boat, it's an insane bike that is currently be repaired after sitting in the trailer for several many years.
That miss geico bike is an absolute pos. Miss geico turbine 50 foot mystic cat boat, on the other hand, was a serious machine.

when turning it looks like the inner motor cuts speed.
It must be tempting to bypass the water completely and use aero-control surfaces instead and then use the jet exhaust to provide thrust (rather than send the power down a shaft to propellers) and then you could not have to be in contact with the water at all and be all wing-in-ground effect... I suppose there are silly rules in the sport about all those things ("it's not a boat anymore"). Pity. Then you could push 300 knots or more.
Have you ever raced fast boats on rough water? The rules are quite specific though. Propellers drive the boat by being, at least partially in the water. If you truly wish to 'Bypass' the water altogether simply get into an aeroplane.

OKAY! :D NOW!.. I'm going to take your designs and engineering and show you everything you forgot to add or change...... ;) Fuck though.. You guys set a high bar..your hull is carbon fiber. Mine will be titanium mesh sandwiched between Kevlar, the rest will be space grade titanium and aviation aluminum. Ailerons and trim tabs, combined with a computer with a sort of A.I. will compliment 2 5000HP gas turbines. I still don't know if all that will work though..your hull design is too good...lol >.

Super late, maybe you know now. This boat caught fire in Sarasota. The whole back half melted. After that Superboat International banned turbines from racing for safety reasons.
