  • I lived in Key West when this was filmed. I'm now in Philadelphia. I miss KW every day. Powerboats were always my favorite week. I was at Ft. Zach when this was filmed.

  • You guys need to come to the Caribbean for the Trinidad and Tobago Carib Great Race, you guys racing on calm water that is too easy, we race in open water 79+miles between island, Dollar Marine did it once in 1998, one race one title...

  • I remember when Marc owned a Baja. He was my Dads client for Thunder Marine. It was either a 33 or 36 outlaw. I know the boat because I worked on it while Marc was getting excited about Red Bull and Vodka. 2002.

  • I raced for close to 5 years and for those that may not know. Everything seems much faster on the water because you're closer to the water so to speak making everything go by alot faster. My boat was called Rawhide and the fastest I ever went was around 198 MPH. We had a 429 Boss and what beautiful music that thing made going down the lake.

    • i’ve been a sailing instructor for a few years on long island sound and the ex police 17 ft whaler with the 200hp outboard makes me feel like i’m going 100mph i can’t imagine how fast you feel like you’re going

  • 24:53 Redline Yellow line :D Like the start of the movie but with boats. 26:00 I bet they had a door under the boat in case. Anyway this is what I think. If the boats had wheels and raced in the desert or salt flats or a big asfalt track. It would look like Redline movie. This boats look very much like the green car Snakehead. At least in the whater you have lot of space for a race with big boats. Look very cool and intense. 32:42 Epic!

  • Interesant - bărci care demareaza și merg cu 400 kph mai rapid decât o masina de formula 1cu 10.000 HP sau dragstere .. Cu bărci de viteza se poate ajunge in 1-2 ore in orașe mari aflate la 400 -800 km . Dacă au motoare electrice alimentate din acumulatori durabili , încărcați de la eoliene , etc , deplasarea ar putea costa mai putin decât pe sosea ? Majoritatea celor care au murit in asemenea bărci nu au purtat centura ? Ar trebui sa aiba limitator de viteză bărci cu motor de la viteza la care au fost accidente mortale sa fie obligatorii scaune cu catapultare ca la avioanele de vânătoare . Deasupra marii nu sunt cabluri de înaltă tensiune in care sa se lovească scaune ejectabile . Sunt doar poduri ..

  • These boats not regulated on power? Class 1 boats (who are the biggest class) have a limit to make it even and those boats can get up to around 155mph. World record of fastest is 160mph in that class.

    • How can you say Class 1 is the biggest class when they don't even had a race season in 2016? In Europa the X-cat was the biggest offshore racing class in 2016, a class with relative moderate power, twin 400 Mercury outboards on 33-35 ft.cats.
