Something a bit different this week, an Avocado Vase, used to grow Avocado plants from a seed.
Made from Applewood. Will be on the website tomorrow.

Nice! Sure makes rooting an avocado tree easy! I didn't know that the brown skin of the seed needed to be taken off. Great video!
Thanks. I'm not expert in this field, watched a few videos where they said it was best to do that so it doesn't end up in the water and starts to rot, made sense to me so I just went with it.

Stunning vase, Matt! Fantastic work!!! 😃 We used to do it a lot and there are some huge avocado trees on my parent's farm now... But we just used a plastic cup, water and 3 toothpicks. 😂 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

I was curious if you’d be willing to share what that material was you used to make the mold for stabilizing the piece as well as your technique for using the toaster oven? Your insight would be very helpful to me.

I don't get it. Does the avocado grow? If yes, then why bother with all the woodturning? Why not just plant the stone? If not, then what's the point?
