  • Though I really like the project, I would have love the idea of the finished vase Without filling the spaces. I’ve seen some sculptures with this concept of blank spaces between the body or so, so a open vase could have been very nice too.

  • I liked it all, however I would use 2 different colors of filler epoxy. Possible a deep red with green metallic swirl or deep green with cherry red metallic flakes or silver.

    • @@JackMackWoodturning none of my work was done on a lathe. I did too many bar tops and coffee tables. The most enjoyable work was making resin picture frames for paintings of all sizes. Floating frames with Lego pieces, puzzle pieces, money, fly fishing gear, empty bullets gun cartridges, little gears & springs from old watch parts. Each one I made was one of a kind. It was just too much work for how little $ I got back. People wanted frames for 20 dollars. It stopped being enjoyable. working for free and too many orders to fill made me stop.

  • I wouldn't call that rotten. It's got mold on the outside, and looks to have suffered fire damage at some point, but the wood itself is pretty good looking.
