After 40 years of trying, why don’t we have an HIV vaccine? Did you know that even without a vaccine, we have antiviral medication that is 99 percent effective at preventing HIV? So why isn’t that good enough? The U.S. and the world have a goal of ending HIV as a major health threat by the year 2030, but is that realistic? Lots of questions, and we’ve got some answers.     • There is a cure-at least 3 people have been cured. If you seriously believe that the CDC, WHO and FDA would ever actually allow a cure to be proliferated for this you’re sorely out of touch with reality my friend.

  • That'd be crazy a 90% reduction. I like how sort of accurate that one Southpark episode is, where they basically determine the cure for AIDS is money so people can afford antivirals. Obviously another big issue you all covered is stigmatism tho, and just lack of awareness. I never realized prep worked that way either. Great video.

  • Conquering HIV is about knowledge. This HIV virus is very complicated. At this point, we know about 50 percent of what would be the total knowledge on the virus. We should be seeing a vaccine within the next 10 years. Given the US FDA, we will likely see the release of the vaccine in 20 years.
