granted that vaccines can be developed within half of a year, but testing would require 5 years to at least prove it safe. existing vaccines beforehand did get continuously tested before and after the official adoptions, but COVID ones aren't.

The first examination of toxicology for the vaccines has not been done. The primary toxicology report has not been done.

Very unfortunate that the documentary highlighted Moderna/ FDA squabbles. I think it will become clear that Pfizer has manipulated IP for it's personal gain. 41:00 TRIPS has provisions for patent waivers. Brazil threated to use it during the late 1990s/early 2000s to get companies to drop anti-AIDS medication prices. Used it again in the late 2000s. There was no need for the waivers but the threat made companies to lower the prices. We have the best AIDS treatment program in the world (afaik) and it's free for anyone who needs it.

Nearly all technologies go through that kind of growth and evolution. Automobiles started out janky and unsafe. Then we improved them. Airplanes started off janky and unsafe. Then we improved them. Space-travel started out janky and unsafe,.. then we improved it. Many ideas in Human history are rough around the edges when they 1st start.. but that's not a good argument to not move forward. Vaccines aren't perfect (may never be).. but they still save far more people than they harm.
