A viral video that sparked a national outcry of racism has cost Amy Cooper her job. She called the New York City Police Department and accused an African American man of threatening her in Central Park after he asked her to leash her dog. Mola Lenghi reports.

Sometimes when women get angry they want to hurt the man but get frustrated because they aren't able to do so, so they resort to other tactics. Usually they try to cut you with words, but when that doesn't work they'll try to find someone else to hurt you. In this case she tried using the cops, but not only them...she wasn't just screaming for the cops, she was also screaming hoping someone near by would hear her and confront the dude also.

She adopted the dog from a dog shelter/organisation. After this video came out, she was heavily (and rightfully) accused of animal abuse and the organisation demanded that she handed over the dog.

If there's no rule about leashes in the park then he wouldn't have any business saying anything, but if there is a rule he's within his rights to be vocal.

There is usually little consequence for this kind of behavior - she expected to be able to count on the cops believing her and not him because that's how it usually plays out. Unfortunately for her, but very fortunately for him, he had a video proving she was a liar. Otherwise, he would be charged with threatening her, or worse.

The leash would have prevented the dog from reaching the treat. Evidently she was more of a threat to the dog than Mr. Cooper was, as her actions resulted in the dog being placed back in the rescue shelter. Guess that would be like if you had a kid that you choked and strangled to keep from some random person and as a result the kid ended up in foster care. It was her responsibility to leash the dog, and she didn't. The rest evolved from there.

And the reason she called the police, is to ask them to come make a report! With that said, I don't believe either are jailable offenses. Fines for sure.

Thank God he had his phone. And thank God she took the dog back to the rescue. Hopefully this taught her a lesson.
