I found the store and eventually founded the manager, whom I've never seen in my life. She looked me in my face and lied to me, saying she caught me stealing. I went to the police station, they said they didn't have any records of the incident. I later end up testifying against her in another case she was involved in, after I saw it on the news. She was claiming they had stolen something also.

They did as little as possible whilst on shift but made bogus complaints about customers simply to make it look like they had been vigilant and on their toes the whole time. They were required to fill in a register on the hour every hour of anything that happened of note within the store but when you read the register back, in comparison to all the other shifts that were quiet and un-eventful, this guys seemed to have dramatic things going on all the time. It was after watching the CCTV footage of those so called incidents that management realised that it was all fantasy. Needless to say, the guy never made it to his third week.

  • Years back my son and I were shopping Walmart, right after working his lawn care business, so we didn't look our best. An "associate" was following us pretending to be a shopper. It started to upset son, but I told him let me do something. Didn't want son buying into that trap. So I approached man said "were shopping same things today. What do you think about this or that"? He barely talked, acted like he was moving on. I did this every aisle we were in. As we were checking out, him still watching, I loudly said "ok security man following us for an hour, after check out we're going to customer service. Come on ,keep up " some around us laughed, he left mad or or embarrassed, not sure which. We returned everything, said no longer want or wrong product, whatever for reason. Went to Target across street, in/out no problems.

  • I shop at Walmart less and less. I used to shop weekly. Now, if say twice a year. And last time we had a miserable time. Their register broke and they literally suggested I leave without a receipt. Walmart has repeatedly shown they are dangerously untrustworthy and will ruin you life. I think I'll shop less at Walmart next year.

  • I had the same thing happen to me. Only the guy told me he knows I stole something and took it to the car. And he called the police. I stayed and waited for police. The police asked to search my car I told them they could if they arrested me first for shop lifting. They refused and threatened to arrest me for trespassing. I went to see a lawyer and found out I should've left instead of staying to wait for police. Very traumatizing experience being I was 8mths pregnant.

    • @@heidikickhouse- agreed, but doesn't sound like she was "held on the property" unless they blocked her vehicle. (They sometimes ask Brosnan security to use their pick-up truck to block the vehicle of alleged shoplifters and tell Brosnan Risk that if the pick up truck gets damaged, Walmart will replace it at no cost)
