Hey great review- so are these the new cloud flight or is the “s” more or a model refresh do you know? First time watcher, I subbed- good content.
I think it's more of a refresh with a unique feature of qi wireless charging. Just like with the S20s where the ultra is similar to cheaper companions though with a 100x Zoom.
These are new because of multiple things. The build quality is a bit better and feels much nicer. And this one has surround sound
A huge benefit of wireless charging that u are missing here is the durability that it gives to the product. Usually the charging port ist the first thing to break or become loose on conventional charging solutions or wired headsets.
Not for me, the first (if anything breaks at all) for me is usually one of the entire ear cups breaking off where it meets the head band.

I have this headset and it’s the best sound quality best headset I ever had I recommend this headset and love the 30 hr battery life don’t have to charge it as often as other headsets overall best headset really love it

Hi, I got these headphones today and I don't know if the programmable buttons are working fine. The lower one feels a bit hard and as if you don't feel a click when pressing it, the sides are less hard but it doesn't have a click sensation either and the upper one is the softest of all and has a click sensation to the touch. ? Hi, Thanks for showing us a sneak peek! I'm a Big HyperX/Kingston Fanboy but I don't see many improvements being made over the Cloud Flights (Which I highly recommend). Cloud Flights have a really good detachable Mic & 2 frequencies depending if you're using them wired or wireless. It's obvious to me the S version has the same Mic. It also looks like they have kept the same head cushion which to me is comfortable but could be firmer (I wear a Cap or Beanie when I game). The Build Quality of the flights looks identical except for the improvements made to & on the earcups. The Cloud Flights would break if you were planning to use them for anything else other than sitting down & gaming. I definitely can't see myself or would recommend others to upgrade from the Cloud Flights until they do dual audio like their competitors & incorporate a higher quality fabric on the head cushion. GG's
Lasted me a solid 2 years before the battery stopped charging and I had to keep it plugged in during use, went to rebuy another pair and I found that new unit's are no longer sold. Instead I went with the Audeze Penrose this time around. I will greatly miss the Qi charging, it was clean asl

Ended up melting the board but I did it. But I fear if I drop it on the floor the solder is just gonna pop off as it's attached to a melted circuit board. I still can't find a wireless charging headset on amazon.
@@OverWims Same! Started dying after 2 years, at first they died at 50% battery, then 70%, 80%, 90% and now it just dies instantly. Kind of suspicious that it happens to everyone right after 2 years - when the warranty ends. I think someone should talk about this more.

Nice video. I feel like you missed some critical points about the volume wheel being a digital control not controlling the headset volume and the un-removeable white-noise. Those are two pretty large deal breakers especially the white noise.
Turn off mic monitoring and the noise goes away
I've had hyper x cloud 2 and for me, best head set I've used.

@@MrSlidthunder yes good bass, only thing that's average is the mic, build quality is amazing, mine are 2yrs old, used daily and look like new.

Is there anyone with a big head that could tell me how these sit on your noggin? Ive tried the virtuoso and HS80 and while i fkin loved the HS80 they simply couldnt cover my ears completely and left a gap on the bottom of my ear + the top frame pushed against my head very painfully. Do you get any white noise after sounds stop? With no sound playing, click on the windows volume slider and listen for a second or 2 after the volume chime. Try with 7.1 off and on.

How's the positional audio on these? Is it always easy to tell where footsteps are coming from?
It has 7.1 surround sound, so very good positional audio

A comment on the wireless charging: I have both of these products as well and noticed that the headset charging never seems to turn off - the light stays red and the headphone cup feels warm after left to charge overnight when I know it is fully charged up. This behavior doesn't seem to follow with my AirPods pro where the light does turn off when charging has completed. Did you noticed this behavior also?

Is there anyway to use this headset to casually listen to music on a phone, as in does it have a wired audio jack or no?
It does not. The original cloud flight does.
As a current owner of this headset, the 7.1 virtual surround sucks on this one. Yes, it enlarges the soundstage a lot, gives you that open space feeling but everything sounds mushy, like sound coming out of a tin can, heavily compressed. Too bad that my 4 year old Cloud II's 7.1 is miles ahead of this. Also this headset does not have a 3.5mm jack, so wireless is your only choice, if your USB dongle gets lost or broken, there is no way that you can use it. PS4, PC, other consoles are only places you can use this. Another thing, the NGENUITY software is not required (thank god) but if you want to remap buttons, you must install it and NGENUITY is a piece of crap software, like really, miles ahead of competition in shittiness, you can't even minimize it to system tray, it stays on your taskbar forever and haunts you when you alt+tab. Interface is, well.. I designed better interfaces when I was in middle school. Wireless charge is a gimmick at this point. It takes way longer than wired one, HyperX sells one way overpriced. And they sacrificed a 3.5mm headphone jack for this gimmick feature. If you own one charge pad because of your phone, it's fine... but still slower charging. Build quality is on the better side, just like the youtuber said, it's solid and it has a normal look unlike other "gaming" headsets. Which is a good thing. I own hyperx ram, 2 headphones, and a pulsefire dart. As a brand, I switched to hyperx after fed up dealing with brands like steelseries, razer and finally logitech. So I choose hyperx over them any given day. I just wanted to you to know the downsides of this headset too.

I bought these headphones after my Turtle beaches broke, and I wanted something for the Xbox series X so I picked up the HyperX cloud. Let me just say this is the best headset I have ever owned. And it looks sooo good at night.

@@mineclasher4569 Hey bro, yeah I got them and really like them, the side tone doesn't work with the ps5 but I havent updated the firm ware, I just control the volume via the scroll wheel and ps5 party chat. its a nice crisp sound 7.1 sound is trash and never use it but the normal sound its good 👍

@@flipdizz5532 Exactly, plus the 7.1 that comes with any headset is "fake" anyways, best to leave it on normal and purchase a license for dolby atmos, dtsx, or thx sound. Not sure if they have added that to ps5 yet, but you can on pc and xbox.

Der Gerät it’s really comfortable even if you play for a long time. 20hrs of battery life and you can hear everything crystal clear! The noise canceling is really good as well. The downside is the mic. It’s a little bit low on pickup but it’s really worth it! For $95 👌. You can wait for lower prices. Got it for $80

Mc Chiccen sorry to say but 7.1 surround sound is pretty much useless gaming companies just use it as a way of advertisement. Gaming headsets are convenient because of the mic but other than that it would be better to buy a pair of high quality headphones and a separate mic although that option is quite expensive.

I got the hyperx cloud flight myself but the sound quality is really crappy in them, i had watched a lot of reviews and people said it was really good but since last year when i got Razer Surround Pro which i can use on any audio device i plug in every headphone original sound quality just sounds horrible to me... but toggling on Razer Surround pro makes the audio super crisp and clear! but i feel like the virtual audio is bad in a way? not sure.. anyone else feeling this way?
