Dave Allen Boxing Day Special 1994
If you liked this video please consider saying thank you by signing my petition regarding Police corruption www.change.org/p/remove-nick-...
This is the Christmas special from 1994, on what would be Dave's final stand show EVER.
Often seen as the unofficial 8th episode from Dave Allen's 1993 show on ITV, as this is in the same stage, design and feel. A few of the jokes are recycled but this very much bookended his 1993 series well, with Dave at his most angry and cynical.
His final work also represented some of his best work, being as controversial as ever.
In this special, Dave muses on Christmas, shopping, queues, post offices, cards, dogs, curfews and the birth of Christ. Already uploaded to my channel but this is a cleaner ripped copy and all in one file.
I am 83 so I remember him well , Wish we had him to day …what a loss to the world…..Thank you for posting this….
Indeed ... A big loss... He was a real comedian whose endevours were Only to improve PEOPLE behavior... Greetings from Bucarest ROMANIA 🍀☀️👏👍🤗
The funniest standup ive ever seen.
It's one of the few benefits

Dave Allen so funny and what he said was true...😂..his sketches so well crafted aswell..hilarious..remember watching him with my dad and i in stiches 😊
A comic genius. A true comedy legend and a brilliant storyteller. RIP Dave Allen. You are missed.
Dave would have plenty to talk about today the way society is ..he would have a field day the state of it .Great Dave Allen
Great point yes can u imagine … gender covid masks lockdowns fear Brexit Johnson etc we’d be laughing for the next 30 yrs
You got that right mate.
Nothing has changed
without a doubt the best underrated comedian off ALL time! And super clever
Who underrates him?
i few people in my humble experience@@seeingthepattern
@@seeingthepattern Absoluteley noone. But some folks on the internet like to say a reknowned and legendary thing/person/song whatever is underated to farm likes. Weird and sad. Modern times i guess.
Dave at his finest and way ahead of his time
I was born in 1968 and I grew up with him, sadly missed a true master of his craft.
Same here, born in 1963 , my parents always had his shows on...
We had him , we laughed with him . What joy to have known him.
My most favourite comedian EVER! So funny, clever and sadly missed.
What a treasure. I was a teenager when I watched Dave for the first time and fell in love with his storytelling. Every comedian is a storyteller but not every storyteller is a comedian which is fine after all it takes every kind of storyteller to make the world go round. I am now 56 and have introduced Allen to my hubby of 34 years and Hen really loves his humor. This American couple is thanking you for your upload. By doing this you are taking steps in preserving a legacy for generations to come.🥰
Dave Allen is sadly missed (RIP🌹) I'm 59, and watched him when i was growing up. He was one of a kind....a genius, and a lovely man 💜 I need to watch more of these videos on KZhead! I was laughing my head off within minutes!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
I miss Dave, he was a true original comedian, sadly missed.
We all sat around the telly, the whole family. As catholics, we loved his holy jokes.
1960ARC as did I a prod growing up in Belfast-always loved his ending phrase' may your god go with you'
I shall forever remember the father, the son and in the hole he goes. 😂
@@mattmid7012Ohhhhh! 😂😂 I had forgotten that sketch
You didn't understand a thing then
A true gentleman for his time. We need today more like him.
May your God go with you. Kind soul
Dave was atheist
I am aware, but even so, he used to sign off his shou with those words. At any rate. Thanks for your reply .
I'm 59, and I grew up watching Dave Allen. Nobody in our family was religious, but I always noted that at the end, he said "May your god go with you". Years later I became a christian, but over time, my faith eroded away to nothing. I STILL remember Dave Allen saying that little phrase at the end. If only EVERYONE could say that to each other, can you imagine what a wonderful world we would live in!
@@Mortthemoose That's sad that your faith eroded away. Humans will let you down, and the church, but God never will.
I rarely laugh at so called comedians but Dave Allen and Billy Connelly always make me laugh both such talented men thank you
You know, I was thinking exactly the same thing.
Our best ever comedian.
"our"? 🤔
He was a great irish man
Absolute class . The PC brigade up yours .
He wood be beside him self if he new how early Christmas starts now 😂
Yes . Mid June in the UK.
@@MOGGS1942I saw an advertisement for next Christmas, 2025 ,before 25th December 2024.
I grew up watching Dave Allen live & his 📺 program Dave Allen @ large, in which my favourite skit was The Bishop. He was a massive loss to comedy & satire. R.I.P Dave, forever missed, never forgotten.
Love him, love his performance ❤
My mum Bless her loved Dave Allen as we all did he made everyone laugh
The days when comedians actually made us laugh …..unlike the crap these days , funny as toothache 😮
He was a legend, a national treasure. Missed even now.
Yep, comedians these days shouldn't be even called comedians. They're absolute sh...!!😫
Great analogy that 🐵
Very true! It's all foul language, or fatuous ideology these days!
Brilliant! I loved his Pope sketches and his spooky stories. He was a great storyteller. Much missed.
A very talented comedian who could easily Entertain with ease.😊
Love Dave Allan ❤
Saw him live at the Wellington (nz) Town Hall in the early 1980's. I laughed till I cried and nearly wet myself! I literally fell out of my seat. Funniest person I've ever seen or heard.
It was great knowing Dave Allen was on telly. Something to look forward to.... brilliant 👍
I watched everything Dave ever did. He was phenomenal. 😅
I love that Dave applauded his audience. He realized that it wasn't a one sided show.
Thank you for bringing His Majesty Dave to us 🙂🙂
Nobody can match humour like this man.Even the greats
I got a slap in the face yesterday, Christmas began on the net yesterday, 18th October, would you believe? He's right, it starts earlier every year.
Xmas films start in October and repeated in December.Same crap every year.American single mum meets American single dad and after rocky start fall in love in time to save orphanage/school/ library/ play.
@@prideofdurham4776 I'm not in America and where I live it's bloody hot. We don't need Santa in coat and boots. 😂😂
@@prideofdurham4776 Heather Locklear or a clone of her. I hate those movies!!
Thank you for posting this.
Clever, intelligent, brave, ruthless. A legend. I wonder what he'd make of the woke pandering culture, and ridiculous news narratives we have to endure.
Christmas is people buying stuff that nobody wants for people they don’t like with money they haven’t got
I worked in David Jones in the eighties, boxing Day was one of the most terrifying experience I went through, as I turned the corner heading towards the store, there already was a mile of crazy people forcing towards the door in a frenzied manner, I felt extreme fear, they had lost their brains, to Cope I had to switch of my normal caring , empathy feelings, I was dealing with people who had lost their minds....😂
Aw wot great comedium the best god blest you x
Ad me howling with laughter!
Legend! I watched this great man as a kid. I adored him and still do! ❤
I think he's up there making God laugh.😂
There's eternal bliss up there , don't you think they laugh enough ? And after few billion years , it's gonna get boring even for good ole Alan
Most definitely 😂😂
Or cry 😂
Too many bores up there.
He was an absolute legend. So sadly missed. Funny, clever and pretty hot too..especially when he was younger. Was lucky enough to see him live at at the Sydney Opera House. Second row. Wonderful.
Lucky indeed! Was there much swearing?
The best ever ❤️❤️😂😂😂👍
Blimmey whats There not to love 💕 about Mr David Allen 😂 absolute genius comic royalty rip David 🕯️🙏 how One human being can make the whole world laugh 😂😂 cheers Stephen 🍀🍀🍀🍀✌️

This guy was the original Agnas Brown. Me and my mother used to watch him every Friday night on the A B C TV. So hieriously funny.
Agnes. Hilariously
Loved watching him in the late 70s, timeless genius, nice to see again, 😂😂😂 thanks 👍
When u go through a difficult time, this guy makes u laugh.... many thanks. Caro
Good God, it´s only two months until Christmas 2023! 😳🙂
Lol, stop it.
Run!!!
I'm 46 and loved watching Dave, one of a rare few that makes my stomach hurt and get tears rolling down my face through laughing so hard.
He was fantastic, pity we don't see him more on the TV today, this would be ideal for this year 🎉 Janet
Yeah, it's a real shame they show Dave Allen on TV. He was fantastic
Best stand-up comic ever.
…and May your God go with you 💝🌈 miss him terribly
My late dad loved Mr Allen’s sense of humour. I was too young back then but now I’m not, and watch & listen & laugh with pleasure and some tears, too remembering my dad.
Im 68 and remember Dave. Nothing much has changed about Xmas and peoples attitudes. So funny 😅😂
pure class
I remember shopping on Oxford Street in London on Christmas Eve. I saw people swapping tags from low value items on high value goods. A 30 pound teddy bear for 3 quid.
I'd forgotten all about this - what a great way to bow out ...
I love this irish comedian! RIP💐
Xmas is the Capitalist's dream. The sheep respond with great enthusiasm.
Brilliant 😅
My dad used to watch him when i was a child i always remember him laughing so much,he died very young in 1979 and everytime i see old footage of dave allen it takes me back to my amazing childhood with my dad ❤ i laugh so much just like my dad! I understand the genius of his humour..brilliant video! 😂
The man! xx
in my late 50s and used to watch this with my grandad and i love him so much he was a great one and sadly missed by those who watched him and loved him for his acts its so sad he isn't with us today he would have a field day with the crap that going on today rest well Dave missed so much
a All Time Great...Sadly Missed.
Came to UK as a student in 1977. in the cold and grey UK he brightened my life with laughter.
Can you imagine what his reaction to the Apple Watch would have been? 😂
I wonder what he would say about what the world (and mostly the people) have turned into these past years. I miss him...
Would have been great to hear his take on iphones and smart-watches.
Great man and comedian and Irish ❤
Wonderful man, sorely missed
So underrated...his deadpan face😂😂😂fond memories. Thank you for this
Loved him the best I still listen nearly every week always makes me laugh ❤❤❤❤ miss him so much
Loved him all my life and along with dear well Dead Dad , we watched together and laughing out loud in 70’s GBL Australia
Thank you so much for the effort. I love him.
I watch Him so many times... I can not get enough from his sarcastic way of telling jokes! 😂😂😂😂 Especially those about Catholic Church... Which tryed to bann his shows in Ireland!!!! Bastards... RIDENDO CASTIGAT MORES... IN LATIN... COMMON LANGUEGE FOR THEM!
Thank you for uploading Dave Allen .He's great .:)
Dave was 30 years ahead of his time. It is like someone has shown him a smart watch from 2023/24. He is describing everything a smart watch does today at 16.54 in the video and he is right. What is the point of any of that tech? Other than profits for those who make these gadgets and gizmos.
I am 78 my father loved Dave Allen and sonfidvI I have nowbintroducedbhim to my 18 year old daughter ( yes I know ) dhe just thinks he is fantastic .Thanksvto You Tube dhe can enjoy all his work like I have..Dave Allen was unique thanks for posting.
He was timeless 😂
Just a great comedian and along with the master Bob Monkhouse sadly not with us anymore, and presently noone good enough to replace either.
What a legend and oh how I miss him ❤❤❤
Dave Allen told Christmas as it was and still is.........total bollocks!!
We are even worse now..he was right..miss Dave Allen so much..
I miss this kind of humour so much!
magic! as always.
I grew up with him. A great comedian. 1994 or 2023, no difference to the madness. What is worrying is the number of people buying presents on their Credit Cards nowadays and spending months to clear the debt.
The best!
DAVE ALLEN ONE OF A KIND. BEST COMEDIAN EVER. MAKES JOKES OUT OF NOTHING HAD ME IN LAUGHING MODE THE WHOLE TIME. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT AND SO SUPER CLEVER. DAVE WE ALL MISS YOU. -- YOU CERTAINLY MADE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE WHEN YOU WERE HERE. THEY SAY LAUGHTER MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND. R.I.P. JUST A CHAMPION PERSON.
He was a comedian that could relate to the common people . Sadly mist .thank you David R.I.P 😊❤❤
Frickin Brilliant 🙂
The best and only the best, today wannabe comedians are not fit to tie his shoelaces.
I think,he wore slip-ons
The funniest man that ever lived!
Dave Allen was the funniest comedian I have ever seen on TV. Whenever I have watched him I am always in hysterics tears running down my cheeks, I laugh so much I almost wet myself 😅 and when he did jokes about flatulence that would send me into uncontrollable hysterics. That and religion I just know by the look on his face it would be funny 😅😅. No-one else will ever take his place.I would have loved to have met him. R . I. P Dave Allen you are missed 😅
So smart he outgunned his critics long before he'd even woken for the day.
Sadly mist❤ one of the best. Made my guts ack with laughter 😊god bless and thank you.R.I.P DAVE 😊😊❤❤
I saw Dave in Sydney, maybe 30years ago. The expression "rolling in the aisles," I thought, was just a comedic reference. BUT, it's actually true..coz I actually fell out of my seat , rolling in the aisle with uncontrollable laughter. 😂
Brilliant, laughed non stop, I must be getting old?
Genius,,,,,still makes me laugh my head off
I miss Dave Allen he was a comedy genius. I've not seen that for 30 years and it's still brilliant
I saw him first in German TV in the very early 80s and found him incredibly funny (even synchronized into German). Later I loved him in English and I still do! He still makes me laugh! Rest in peace and may your god be with you❤!
Amazing, thank you!
