  • They should just stop the glove touch once and forall ... I know that it is somewhat of a tradition to touch your opponents (or in training your partners) gloves as a sign of respect but the fighters get that chance when they are called to the middle of the octagon/ring from the referee BEFORE the fight starts ... so there is no reason to touch your opponents gloves once the fight started .... on contrary ... the referee tells you to protect yourself at all times and by reaching your arm out to touch your opponents gloves you open yourself up and you don't protect yourself in that moment.
