The coach cam is a super nice touch, you should have that more often

He died right before I got in. RIP Coach Norm. I'll never forget you.

The little jump the coach did when the athlete took of is priceless.
I didn't notice that until you mentioned it. So wholesome.
The ski jump had to be built from scratch in order to attempt this jump. He made a total of 4 attempts. What they are showing here is the 4th and final attempt, where he successfully obtained the world record. Previous world record was 253 meters. His jump was 291 meters.
Still this does not count as a world record, cause it was not on FIS-spec object.
@@Midaspl Do all the ramps need to be built to the same specifications?
@@-Tarzan For ski jumping competitions - yes. All jumping hills have to follow construction norm Art. 411. Otherwise you could make all jumps artificially longer. Also, I find jumping 250m on HS240 jumping hill more impressive than 290 on HS300, cause one guy had to land basically straight into a flat land, while the other still had room for more distance at a comfortable angle.
@@Midasplyes your correct, additionally it doesnt count because it wasnt in a FIS competition
@Midaspl if we all let sports bodies govern what is breaking limits and records then true records would never be broken. Not saying sports bodies are bad but even as a racer I'm not letting the FIA dictate every single motorsports record personally.
