    • @@iTrivyum His post-fight interview was so hilarious that it became a meme in the russian MMA community. "We improve. I think...We tricked him, we went against his rules and tricked him... He landed - I won. What complains can there be?". This legendary phrase resurfaces now every time somebody gets a win off of DQ like Sanchez did recently.

    • Absolutely, I never hope for any athletes to be injured, but with this guy I wouldn't even care. This types of guys is always the ones ruining sports and abuse anyone and anything to win even the rules. It was truly satisfying after watching him trying to waste everyone's time and the audiences money to. In my book he's the biggest loser ever. Which he would be shut out from all sports forever. No sports needs such cheating spirits

He never used them to do any damage. Reyes landed more shots. Landed more meaningful shots. And the slight advantage jones had in wrestling was nullified by his inability to do anything with the position. It’s all opinion based and I don’t frankly give a fuck what yours is I just want you to know I’m not changing mine because fan boys can’t handle the truth. JS.

  • Imagine if Anthony “Lion Fart” Smith was our LHW champion by DQ. Not to say jones wouldn’t immediately rematch him and smash him again, but it would be pretty classic if JJ title streak was snapped by a DQ lol

    @thebubbclub@thebubbclub4 жыл бұрын
    • I mean, Smith had nothing to win by taking the W, his reign would be forgettable just like Belfort's reign was when he won with a flucky punch and if Smith took the DQ not only he would lose the title to Jones in a rematch, he also would lose all of his leverage with Dana White, would never main event a card again(he got 2 ME after the Jones fight) probably would never get another title shot, and would be fired as soon as Dana finded a reason to do it. Taking the L was the smartest move Smith could make in that situation

    • @@jjwp-ql5rv the whole purpose of gloves is to protect FROM the fist at least as much as it is to protect it. Shoes aren't worn so that your opponent is protected from your feet. Shoes enhance your foot attacks, while gloves soften fist attacks.

  • Jones’ DQ was legit. It’s a dumb rule, but it’s still a rule. I think grounded kicks should be legal, but Anderson Silva and Gegard Mousasi both got DQs for using them. Jon Jones himself benefited from the rule against Brandon Vera, where kept playing the game with his knee on and off the mat, creating a chilling effect where Vera could not defend himself from the bottom while Jones was free to rain down blows from the top.
