    • @@host_arnold6187 it’s not a bandwagon, commentary is supposed to be unbiased, Joe is biased in a lot of fights which means he shouldn’t commentate or shouldn’t commentate that fighters fights but still does. So as soon as he’s biased during a fight he’s a bad commentator. I‘m also pretty sure Cruz, DC, Hardy, Bisping all know the grounded opponent rule, and know more about MMA in general as they’ve competed and trained at a way higher level than Joe

    • I hate that nobody countered that stupid comment with the fact that Jan always twitches like that in standup as it is sort of a defensive feint of his own synched in with his movement pattern. Instead of expending a lot of focus and mental energy by reacting only when the danger is more immediate he incorporates this as it is more physically taxing but brings less psychological stress. It is kind of obvious which one the champ has more of :D Also this way he is already mentally prepared that he might get hit and there is nothing that he is not already doing that he could do ... while if he were risking it more and trying to conserve that energy there is a more impactful element of a shock when Izzy actually lands as you were consciously only focusing on avoiding it. .... all this is supper subjective and we can't know for sure and THATS WHY biting on feints is not fucking commented that much on, sure it might suggest the turning of the tide cardio-wise, but to repeat it over and over and then claim it was spot on after the fight ends the other way xD Pathetic

    • @@candle9191 I believe you can’t call it a no contest after it reaches the 3rd or 4th round. They did have other options, though. The ref could have ended the fight and had the judges score the last round before the illegal knee and gave Petr a 2 point foul deduction. Which would have ended the fight as a majority draw. The belt wouldn’t have switched hands. Instead, Mark Smith (the ref) called it an intentional foul and disqualified Petr. In the end, Mark smith may have fucked himself, this was the first title fight he officiated and he showed a myriad of mistakes.

  • Its all about the transfer of kinetic energy. When you're stood up and get hit really hard, you can move or fall over, transferring that energy. When your knee is on the ground your body can't move as much, and something with as much force as a knee to the head can do serious damage.
