Those light impact exercises are great, they give you a nice endorphin boost, doesn't take long, and you just get In the habit of doing SOMETHING. Naturally you start to want to workout more and more, it's just like taking a small flame and building it into a roaring blaze. Just takes time and attention

"My thing is scientifically proven to blah blah". Yet, I think they are similar. Vegans say "I cut out carbs and eat only vegetables". The carnivores say "I cut out carbs and ear only meat". Dur, you see anything in common? These guys believe in God. Those guys believe in Allah. Umm, any chance you believe in the same thing? There are differences, don't get me wrong. But there are a hell of a lot of similarities too. Crossfit seems cool, I guess. If it makes them healthy, that's cool.

    • The fact he has been able to compete in a nutty ass sport like crossfit games, win 5 times, and still be able to function, is amazingly impressive. Agree, dog on crossfit all you want, but those who are successful have shown the possible limits of the body.

    • @@mytruthslays1303 limits of the body? Yeah because Lifting heavy weight with improper form is really “pushing” the human body lmao. It’s a good sport to start if you don’t care about your bone & joint health, the entire sport is “do as many improper exercises as you can in a short amount of time”. There’s a reason everybody in the lifting community clowns cross fitters.

I think people get confused a lot because CrossFit is, at its base, a sport. They have different goals than most people. Multiply the Crossfit prize money by 100 and I bet you this guy will not be standing on the podium.

      @vaticinus@vaticinus3 жыл бұрын
    • @@vaticinus Your logic is ridiculously flawed. You are comparing things that can't be compared. You are like "NFL players lift, CrossFit athletes lift, so they must be sharing the same traits and thus can be compared"? First off comparing NFL with CrossFit is like comparing water polo with basketball. The fact that your average NFL player is familiar with most CrossFit movements and reasonably fit doesn't mean anything nor can be used as an argument to support that they will automatically do well. Secondly, NFL has more money so more competition and thus athletes there must be easily able to outperform CrossFit athletes? What? Maybe since soccer has the most money worldwide we can also argue that elite soccer players would easily outperform swimmers like Michael Phelps and Ian Thorpe in their sport (since swimming doesn't even come close to having even 1% of the money involved in soccer). Do not compare things that can't be compared. This guy is ridiculously fit no matter who you put up against him. If you are an NFL fan that's cool. If you thing CF is overhyped that's also cool. But has nothing to do with ones or another's ability or fitness.

    • @@lukeblankenship8424 you're definition is wonky, it can be more than that. Usually I'm sport you compete to be the best at something. CF doesn't have the best at lifting, running, etc just mediocre athletes that do these events which are just random. Putting them together doesn't determine the best at jumping, lifting, running, falling or even doing pushups. When you go to a lifting event, those are the strongest people trying to find the best at squats, bench, clean/jerk,etc. As long as you get exercice and have a good physiotherapist, it's still better than doing nothing so its way better than the 30%+ of obese population (just don't get them to do crossfit to lose weight). Just like bodybuilding and its bro science, physio clinics will keep making mint on people trying to combine olympic lifting with speed and fatigue inducing workouts.

    • @@HelloThere-xs8ss There I'm a computer technician for 40 years. Top spec Alienware PC + similar Dell Desktop + Apple Powerbook + HP Pro. Fast Fibre wireless and hardwired connections on professional Broadband plan. Issue exists with Spotify across each and all the above. Other streaming services are NOT affected. So don't say to me "That's your connection", thank you very much.
