Thankyou for the reviews man, I finally got my hands on one and have been using the deathadder since 2013. It still blows my mind how good this mouse really is, never have I ever had a better aiming experience in my life until using this mouse.
your discord community pushed me toward the DAV3 and I have to say I can not be any happier, I normally subconsciously leaned toward smaller mice, but once I got the DAV3 in my hand it felt like an extension of my own arm.
You couldn't have said it better
Would love to see you retest/rereview the Outset AX & EC2 now after you've used ergos as exclusively as a reviewer can for an extended period!
I think wired is just so hard to go back to after top tier wireless + the lighter clicks and 4000hz. you'd have to really prefer the shape by a large margin IMO
I second Haus’s comment 😊
Ec2 goat
@@fbiindia9661 I’m still using the ec2-c, I couldn’t imagine it being wireless
Outset with grip tapes as a claw grip user is perfect.
I love my DAv3 pro. Like you it is the only ergo on my desk. I have tried Orochi, viper, gpx, model O model D, O-, 403, g502, razer imitation 502, I even tried a 3 button space mouse in the past few months. Fell in love with the DA after only a few min of use. Have not thought 2 about it sense using it. Highly recommend. I have med hand with a relaxed claw grip. I drag my pinky.
Damn Boardzy u doing Big things , I remember when u 1st started, cool 2 c how much ur chlanel has grown . you got me onto the Hein loooong time ago . Glad to c u at almost 200k subs Keep up the great work B!👍✌️
Love mine and even got core pads imported in before anybody had any in the states from what I could find…it was a game changer for me…thanks boardzy for the trusted reviews! Definitely the best mouse for people who have large hands.
they're on lethal gaming gear lmao corepads are the industry standard skates so idk what kind of crack you're smoking brother
I love the Deathadder V3 Pro. I have had this mouse for two months already. Nothing to complain about; I do love this shape better than the original.
I was using a DAV2 pro for a few weeks and decided to take the plunge for the DAV3 Pro and I am pleasantly surprised. I feel my aim has improved, and when I miss shots, I know it was my movement rather than the mouse. This was a great pick up!!
Is it worth money?
@@CptAloevera for me ,yes, aim was alot better. Came from superlight and mz1
@@CptAloevera there’s a wired version for cheaper if you wanna test it
true
@@Jason-ip6wqis it good? Heard the v3 pro has scroll wheel issue ? Is the wired version has the same issue?
Bought this after watching your first review and it's honestly so well built I can't see another mouse this good for a while as you said, my hands are kinda on the smaller size but after a while I think I found a pretty good grip with the mouse even if it's mostly suited for bigger hands, a smaller version would definetly pop off imo.
I'm waiting on mine. I even like the old DA shape somehow with 18.5x9 hands so i think il like this as well.
I like to use palm grip for flicks, and switch to fingertip in the heat of the moment when i need to track. How is fingertip with this one? If its passable this mouse might be endgame for me.
7 months since this comment, any news on things breaking or the plastic flexing?
@@gvulture1277 Nothing broke/flexed, and I still love the mouse, I only had a problem with Synapse randomly rebooting my pc if I went in sleep mode, but quickly fixed it following a guide, can't remember how. The only thing regarding the mouse itself, the matte finish slightly started wearing down on the thumb side, it's not really concerning atm for me, and honestly, I think this happened with every single mouse I had at some point. Overall I'm pretty happy, and as much as the price is kinda high, the quality is very good. Especially since almost every wireless mouse coming out at this point costs 150$+.
Im probably gonna get this mouse next after ec1-a, even if my hand is just about medium, i need a bigger mouse cuz a lot of the new mouses today are too narrow and my thumb starts to hurt 😢
Been loving it. First mouse in 15 mice that kicked the gpx of my desk. Only slight issue I have with it is that the rmb feels slightly more wobbly than the left. It is a pretty minor thing but im loving the mouse so much that I'm considering returning it and getting a new one for that reason
Well what happened? Did it fix the problem?
Yea the gpx is collecting dust ever since I picked this up
I've been on this mouse for a month now switching from hyperx pulsefire FPS pro and I love it. The size, shape and mouse buttons are perfect for my bigger hands. The only thing that's holding me back from getting used to it fully is its clickiness. I'm used to sharper clicks so that's the only thing that I don't like.
Finally, the mouse that replaced the ec2 for me (my hand 18.5x10.5cm). I bought a white and a black one. I returned the white one in my hand, it seems bigger (surface treatment, most likely). in any case, white is for a humid environment or sweaty hands, black on the contrary. The white is really beautiful polar white, not a yellowish white like many others, but unfortunately the grip and the overall feeling was definitely the black version for me
Love this review.
Are you gonna post an updated mouse pad tier list? I’m really looking forward to one!
I've been making it since release. I have small hands but I prefer mid hump large ergos because I don't like having my wrist touch the pad. I don't know how people game with that kind of friction. But yeah, love it. Feet have definitely slowed down a bit. One thing that bothers me is the sensor angle. I don't know why but it's taking me a while to get a consistent x y feel for this one.
Holy **** did u just say an ergo mouse is your main????? My man is finally learning 🤩
Sold. My Viper V2 Pro is amazing but super uncomfortable for casual play. I love it.
I have the viper v2 and dav v2 a couple gpro sl and both x2s. They are good mice. I feel like shape is the key. Personal preference is what I go to. I put ttc gold switches in both my x2’s. The x2 ain’t no joke.
Just ordered mine can't wait. Been using GPX the last 2 years and hated every day of it. As some1 with big hands it's just too small to control consistently for me. Had a deathadder before the GPX and felt like my aim was always so consistent. So going back to my roots.
Was waiting for this ty
It took me a minute to adjust to the shape coming from a g pro super light, but it's a solid main. I run it with grip tape, but mostly to keep my fingers from wearing down/polishing the coating. It's also my main between it, the superlight and the viper 8k.
Still my main as well! One of the best mice I’ve ever used.
We need a Rakk Talan Air review please! Nice vid btw 🔥
Love ur content Keep up ur grund
Hey there Merry Christmas! I've been using this mouse for about a month now, coming from a Razer Mamba Elite I love almost everything about the mouse, but the clicks feel slightly a bit heavy to me coming from the mamba elite, would the viper v2 pro, or gpx have softer clicks than dav3? I play mainly mobas at a somewhat competitive level so I'm constantly clicking, maybe I need to give it more time, but I also have not tried out any of the other top tier light gaming mice.
I love my DAV3 mouse. I can’t choose between it and the viper v2 pro, tho. I just end up switching between them whenever I perform badly with one during that period of time. Both great purchases, though neither shape seem to be easy to find a good grip for me personally. I just put the grip tape on and use my fingertips to hold the mouse for the most part, despite using claw. It’s weird trying to use these mice. Love them anyways.
depending on your hand size, you should try the x2/x2 mini. I love my x2 and i use a relaxed claw. it forces my fingers into a somewhat uncomfortable position but it makes me feel like a deadeye with the mouse
Which one are you more comfortable with? Hand grip wise
@@oluna8369 it’s easier for me to feel more comfortable with the v2 pro, but I usually track better with the DAV3. It’s quite strange. I don’t think either shape is very safe imo, I’d probably be more inclined to get people over to lamzu or pulsar
My hands are on the smaller end (sort of, I haven’t really measured my hand cuz idk how) but I got the daV3 and it honestly is great, the only issue I have is that coming from using the orochi v2, I really really wish the mouse clicks were sharper, and I do miss the tactile knob on the orochi
I got some creaking on mine as as well right on the thumb groove on the left side towards the bottom. I took some grip tape from razer's universal grip tape pack (the little strip one) and found the exact spot where it was creaking, pushed it in all the way to where it doesn't creak, then put the grip tape on top of it (where the side shell meets the bottom part of the shell). Completely removed the creaking. I'm autistic and mouse creaking is one thing I simply can't deal with so I'm glad I was able to fix it lol. Mouse has been amazing otherwise. I went back to my G604 for FF14 (for the side button) and it felt like a brick lol. And the shape of the DAV3 is just superior.
I love my deathadder v3. Glad you agree! What the heck is up with the availability of the dongle though? There's no availability anywhere 😕
I do wish you had posted this review a few days ago before I just bought a Logitech G Pro X Superlight instead. I guess the 30% off discount code I had also helped with my decision, but I really wanted one of these Razer Deathadder V3 Pro's because the shape is so much better.
only ever had 3 mice. a wired zowie & then the deathadder v2 & now v3 pro. love it!
does that mouse need grip tape? and would you recommand grip tape at all?
I have that weird creaking on my orochi v2 kinda goes away sometimes I dunno may a humidity / temperature but the build is still pristine after using for 1 year
How does this compare to a SteelSeries Rival 600? As far as the sensor for CS:GO? Thanks! is it worth picking this mouse up, If I have the Rival 600?
Hey Boarzy! what mousepad would recommend if I’m looking for a fast pad with a good amount of stopping power
I got black superlight second hand New for just 63.5USD total, what a steal. I think with mices like that its alot easier to find a great deal than with new stuff. Everyone is hating on skates quality and wearing off plastic, but i guess thats fine lol. Im changing my razer viper mini and man, what a great mice it is, the only issue scroll button isnt always working as intended
A love the fact that the DAV3’s middle mouse button can be clicked with your index finger if you push the scroll wheel to the right instead of only pressing it from the top of the scroll wheel. It makes it easier for people like me to push the mouse wheel button when your fingers are placed toward the front end of the mouse 1 and 2 clicks
A ton of mice function like this.
holy hell I just tried this out because I read your comment and it blown my mind
I couldn't get used to the larger size of the DAV3 but I loved the sensor. So, the VP2 took the cake for me (same sensor, different shape)
Which of the two do you think is better built and what size is your hand? I'm thinking of changing the gpx to a dav3?
@@carloscoldebella9450 I do not know off of the top of my head. But I also used the GPX before getting the VP2. And in the end, I went back to my GPX and G502 - as those two mice stayed my favorites even after using the Razer products for a few months. And earlier this week, I finally got my M2K in the mail and have been trying to get used to that mouse for the past few days in order to see how it compares to the G502X (which is what I was using primarily prior to the M2K arriving). Thus far, it's definitely an odd mouse adjustment considering I'm going from 103g of weight with the G502X to 24g of weight with the M2K LOL. It feels crazy to use! Sorry for digressing, but in the end, I began to hate all of the Razer mice. The software and lack of hand comfort (due to their shape and height design) has pushed me away from all Razer mice. My hand never gets sore or feels tense with a Logitech mouse, however, it does with the Razer mice (and even does after enough time passes with the M2K due to its super small size). But, of course, that's why I am trying to get used to the M2K. Because if I can adjust to it's ultra lightweight design, perhaps I can hold it differently so that it doesn't irritate my hand as time passes.
@@NippleSauce Thanks, I'll take it into account, maybe I won't buy it and stick with the g pro x anyway.
Hope to see new Xtrfy M8... maybe a real good small Gpx finally (i hope)
Lol this is perfect, my dav3 just came in today but I still kind of wanna try the xlite v2 wireless. Mouse buttons are a big thing for me so I’m giving everything a try
I got one in addition to my gpx, originally on return-if-it-doesnt-feel-right basis but it has essentially instantly become my new main. It feels lighter in the hand than the gpx since it's larger, the side buttons are MILES better and both the stock grips and skates feel as good as my aftermarket ones on the gpx. No QC issues for me, can only recommend (palm/claw hybrid, 20 by 10) Edit: i do also get that slight 'pop' from the shell you mentioned occasionally
Thanks for the feedback on it. I have similar sized hands (20 by 11) and I relax claw, but find the GPX to be too small for me with the grip, so I'm waiting on the DA3 to arrive tomorrow.
@@RemedieX how is it?
20x10 hands here as well. Started off with the EC1-C, moved to the GPX, and today I am awaiting my DAV3. Can't wait to experience that GPX weightless and wireless tech with the comfort of the EC1-C.
@@farvezafridifaizurrahman6980 and how do you like it?I also ordered dav3,having gpx,ec1-c
@@delikatnyj4680 The shape is 8/10 if the EC1-C is a 10. But everything else about the mouse is top tier. Single best light weight large ergo in the market right now. No one else comes close.
I got this mouse and after using ambi mice for the past 5 years in the model o and viper ultimate, the shape on this is excellent a lot safer of a shape and as someone who uses claw grip with bigger 20cm x 10cm hands the comfort and stability I get from the DAV3 is night and day better compared the the Viper.
Bought viper V2 pro and found the left and right click had too much side play, the scroll wheel wobbles significantly side to side (it's too small), the upscroll and downscroll noise were unequal. Returned it because it was rubbish for a $150 product. Then I got the DAV3 pro. All the aforementioned issues gone. -Chefs kiss- Plus the shape was a better fit for my palm grip. I had to claw on Viper V2 pro.
I just got mine yesterday and was on a G304/5 before it. I expected it to fill out my palm way more, but it doesn't (except when I claw it) cos of the how it slopes back down toward the wrist. It doesn't fill out the mid/back of my palm like the eggshell shape of the G304/5 does. All in all though the DAV3 is so much lighter and aiming feels easier on it by a lot. I fingertip it for the most part and pull it in to claw when I want that stability. I'm happy with it, but it'll take a little getting used to the feel.
Just got one last week and I must say this is the best a mouse has ever felt to me.
hey boardzy, you have been instrumental in my decision to pull the trigger on this mouse and it is my new main, went from the gpx superlight to this, it's been ages since i used an "ergo" mouse and it's bliss.
Is there anything you like more about the GPX vs the DAV3? I went from GPX to starlight but the shape does not suit my hand in relaxed claw. I've been dying to try the DAV3 but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I've been sorta waiting to see how the coating performed because that's fairly important to me.
@@1BlinkwithAngels82 i do like the LMB and RMB clicks on the GPX more. they are lighter and are more crisp and also have literally zero post travel. the DAV3 have a little more post travel, but not enough to be a deal breaker for me. also, the battery life and charging speed is better on the GPX, as mentioned in the video. none of these are deal breaker. the most important thing - the shape - is better for me on the razer, so yeah :)
@@skuko1980 Gotcha, thanks. The thing really drawing me is the shape like you said so 😬probably gonna have to get one.
Yeah I'm ditching my Model D wireless for this, I had nothing but QC issues with that mouse on both copies the side buttons and dpi buttons just stopped working after not even a week of having both mice. I have melarge hands at 19x9 and the GPX just looks too small for my relaxed claw/palm and I've always been more of a ergo mouse person as it feels better in my hand, can't wait to see how this is. My first couple mice were always Razer for the build quality, I just hated synapse
I've gone through two units now. First one started creaking badly after about 3 months of use. Sent in an RMA and the brand new one came with an extremely loose right mouse button. Razer needs to get their QC in check ASAP
What material is that mousepad made of? It looks and sounds so smooth and solid.
my deathadder v3 is coming in a couple days, its gonna be my first ever wireless mouse, im so excited
Would you say this or the Viper v2 pro's worth the price? It'd take me around 3 months of saving + birthday money (Was going to be spent on an XM1r anyways). Only like 1 month left till I do have enough, but that's considering these mice even come to Turkey. Anyways, worth or what else shall I get (basically only big companies' mice exist here so yeah)? 18-11cm hands, claw grip.
Hi, 48 year old gamer here, just purchased this little beast, I was wondering which deskpad you’d partner this with , I nearly always play COD multiplayer (small / med maps) btw I’m based in England. keep up the goods work !
What would u say is better g pro superlight or da3 (this mouse)
Shocking, what would be good replacement feet that are same feeling as stock?
I have both this and the super light and I CANNOT decide which one I like more. I like the feel of the v3 more but I just seem to do better in fps games with the superlofjt
what mousepad do u use? looking sick
ayyo boardzy I just got my G Pro Superlight at a pretty cheap price around 125 dollars brand new, I think I am in Love
It is a great mouse but I really wished that the hump was more around the back to give it more palm support. The current shape feels like as if it is trying to get *under* my palm rather than sit against it, which made it impossible for me to grip properly with my preferred grip. Unfortunately I had to return it cause of that.
The flare on the back of the dav3 it nice.
I have the same one and it is really great! Could you give me the reference of your mouse pad and the one you recommend? thank you
I've been maining the v3 since it released. I think there are several areas for improvement. The clicks are stiffer than I'd prefer, a lighter click is desirable for tactical shooters. The gold standard for clicks is Vaxee's Huano switch implementation. The coating is also just average. Once again, Vaxee leads the way with their amazing matte coating. Also, I prefer mice with rounded edges instead of razer's aggressive, pointy corners. As far as positives, the shape is quite good, overall. The ergonomics are subtle enough to not interfere with your aim. The click latency and sensor accuracy are the best on the market. Stock skates are comparable to any after-market replacement. All things considered, the pros outweigh the cons. This is the best wireless ergo option as of 2022
As of 2023 as well. Even in a world of wireless Zowie and Vaxees coming up, DAV3 seems to be the only large ergo option on the planet right now.
I am on viper ultimate one and thinking about getting something new and white to match white huntsman mini keyboard(love it). I am a rather unique old style fingertip 1-3-1 gripper. Viper ultimate is excellent but my pinky kinda digs into the mouse on the right side. This is not at all suitable for 1-3-1 probably? Interested about glass pad too. I use just cloth razer pad but it's a pain to clean. What I look for in the pad is smoothness and silence. I don't want to hear or feel it. What pad do you use ? edit: btw scroll on viper ultimate sucks ass. Dock also. usb c would be great...
Bought mine off your review, game changer I must say. Me being big handed individual as well this mouse just felt amazing, also id like to point out the side buttons are what really did it for me. I've broken a side button on 3 different GPX's :(
How big are your hands? I also have very large hands and yet to find a mouse that fits me well.
@@Makaveli6103 same here. 20x12.5. g703 has being the most comfortable so far, curious what the dav3 feels like.
@@mushbeck6065 it is the best mouse I have tried for large hands. Highly recommend.
My Deathadder V1 from 2012 just perished, (mouse wheel click). The only mouse I use daily is a Logitech M720. Not sure where to turn for my next mouse.
What do you think about it now?
How is the scroll wheel compared to say a TTC Gold encoder? Do you have any issues of trying to click, but you accidentally scroll up or down instead?
im with you this thing is a beast
So for big hands, this one or the Zowie Ec1 ?
dude what mousepad is this i love how it looks
If the ZA series went wireless do you think you’d main that?
I have a few mice by now and ngl DA v2 pro feels way better for me, shape is so much more relaxed and works really well for me
would you be willing to review the glorious model d pro as well?
That new Skypad looks phenomenal
Only thing with my DAV3 is the scrollwheel could use deeper notches, it feels too easy to scroll more than I plan to.
I owned this mouse for about 5 months now and easily the best mouse i've ever owned. I have a gpro superlight too and the side buttons were one of the worst I've tried. The side buttons (which I use alot in games) were very mushy and not a great feeling when pressing but it was the complete opposite on the deathadder. The shape feels big but it made my aim feel so consistent and I feel like I dont overflick on it. If you have medium to bigish hands too, the shape is perfect for you.
It’s better than logitech superlight pro?
@@sebak2003 in my opinion yes and especially if you have medium to big hands. Superlight is a good mouse dont get me wrong but theres so much better options out there that deserves the hype. Like Lamzu, G wolves and Pulsar mouses
And bro that flare in the back helps keep that wrist/elbow sync’d up.
Thanks for the content, I'm going to buy one of these this month, do you recommend changing his feets? Which would you recommend? Corepad or tige ice or talon, or some other?
I'm buying the normal version, not the faker one
how does it feel for tracking in games like apex or overwatch?
I copped a 4k dongle in the recent drop cuz I know they’re rare so I’ll be ordering some razer mice soon from amazon and return them if I don’t like them. A deal breaker would be if my pinky hangs off the mouse too much in the case of the viper v2 or if I end up missing the gpx coating too much.
hey boardzy what artisan pad should i get i play on valorant 0.41 sens 800 dpi and i use a lazure atlantis so can i get some recomendation im stuck between hayate otsu and zero but i am still thinking
So wait, Razer Deathadder V3 Pro vs Logitech G Pro X Superlight? You’re saying you’d choose the V3 Pro overall? If so why?
im thinking of ordering this mouse, coming up on 3rd week with viper v2 pro and I just couldn't find comfort in gripping the mouse properly, I keep having to try out different grips throughout my play sessions..
This or the viper v2 pro? Which would you recommend?
Right as I saw this review I saw a 50% off used one of these bad boys go up on Amazon. It felt like fate. As a big hand person that’s been on a model o for a year now, I can’t wait.
As a fellow wide hand mf i have been enjoying the g303 se recently, this dav3 is the next to try on my list. Also a random question have you tried btl's glass skates or the lgg v2s? Both are fairly new I believe.
glass skates i think work best with fingertip grip because you have the most fine tune control, with claw grip it probably will throw off your aim so keep that in mind when it comes to glass skates.
What do you think I should get what skates for the death adder v3 pro I use the lathel gear saturn
Better than viper v2 pro?
hey boardzy one thing id personally love to see in the descriptions of ya vids would be your hand dimensions to give a bit more context to your review love ya vids you keep it straight up
I have wrist issues and docs told me to get an ergo mouse but my hands are 18.2x 9.9 I still bought it though and waiting for it to arrive. I hope it does well enough coming from a superlight
How did it go?
Hi , do you recommend it with 18.5x9cm handsize ? My grip is clawgrip - lowtilted grip , thankss ,
I tested gpx superlight and DAV3, and I kept the gpx superlight, for some reason I feel that the gpx superlight is built with better materials than the DAV3 and the clicking is better for me on the gpx superlight. At the end of the day everything comes to what grip are you using and what do you feel more comfortable with. Great video!
@@milktruckdriver unless u got a mouse from a faulty batch it shouldnt double click. only the original gpro wireless double clicks
@@milktruckdriver the gpx superlight hurts my fingers when i click. too hard clicks coming from a G502 HERO. DAV3 clicks seem lighter than GPX,. but harder than G502.
could you mix in some gameplay clips?
@boardzy video 235 of asking for a review of uvi gear mouse or mousepad
I ordered it to try it out and while the build quality felt so much better, the buttons including the ones on the side felt so good but the issue I had was it was uncomfortable to grip unless I was palm gripping. I assume it's designed for palm grip though considering it's design, but I hoped it'd feel good clawing or doing something similar
Viper is for claw. Death adder is for palm
@@JustinWu Oh okay, I didn't know so ty
I don't know why wembanyama is on the thumbnail but good review 😅
Just switched today from super light and I can say as a palm grip gamer it feels so nice in the hand. Idk if it’s my set up but wireless I was having some issues with pauses and stuttering in game. I’m having to use it wired at the moment until I can come up with a solution.
Did you figure it out?
@@dddripz yes I did. Had to close all razer related programs in the background. Also was having a windows widgets issue where it was running memory at extreme high rate. So I have to close that whenever it opens.
I wish they would make one slightly smaller since it’s the same dimensions of EC1. I always liked the size of the ec2
Getting it tomorrow
I have the death adder v3 and after tons of play time with it I can honestly say it is my main as well. I have the Pulsar X2, GPX, Lamzu Atlantis, Viper V2, and plenty of others and nothing matches the V3 for me. Have a hyper polling dongle on the way too!
is your x2 unit alright? considering the forest green x2 fe but i'm worried about qc and the click feel :')
Wanna send a mouse over ?? Got a hyper x plus fire with wire and it doesn’t feel right at all
How was the difference with Dongle? In like fps? Worth?
The only thing about it is that every so often it seems like the cursor "skips" on my screen. I'm not sure if that's a weird Windows thing or I'm imagining it or it's because I have it plugged into a switcher and I have no recorded evidence to prove one way or another, but that's the only possible weird thing I've noticed with it.
