I have been using your baking soda and cornbread mixture for about 4-5 months outside near my garden. For the first couple of months I still saw rats, but now that it’s fall and cooling down with not as much for them to eat in the garden, I have not seen one rat! I put the mixture in a small plastic container with a lid and small hole for them to crawl inside so the rain doesn’t effect it. So far, so good! I haven’t seen a rat in about a month!! Thank you and great advice Jerry!!
Glad to help. I'm still using it with great results here on the farm.
You’ve made me a believer! And, I don’t have to worry about my dogs eating it. TY, sir
Best of luck with it working. If it does not appear to work right away, it means there are more to the colony of critters that need to find the bait and eat it. To rid them from the attic in my Bunny Bungalow it took about three to four weeks.
@@pinemeadowshobbyfarmafruga8319 Like all farmers, we know how resilient those little rats are. I’ll stick with it!
I was on another site where a person said, without having to mix your 2 ingredients, he just fills a dish for rodents with soda pop. Yes, it kills, but then it loses it's potency while waiting for the next varmint to drink. I like your method much better! Not nearly as much refilling. It doesn't evaporate and waste ingredients.
Thanks for sharing.
Good one Jerry.
Thank you. Did you see the new episode on SOUTHERN OREGON SAFARI WHERE BUFFALO ROAM?
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this instructional video. I was looking for a pet safe solution. I am so thankful for people like you that take time to share knowledge with others.
Wonderful!
Thank ya Again 😁 for this amazing information , ive googled what will get rid of ground hogs , of course it was recommended to call pest control , cant afford that these days . I will try yer suggestion , Thank ya 😊
Our pleasure!
Excellent update.
Glad you think so!
Do you use Borax in your mix? I didn’t hear that in your video but you had it on table
Yes
Hi thanks for this .. Would you mind explaining the borax aspect ?
At 8:30 in the video, Why doesn't the mixture without the Borax kill cockroaches??? In other words, What does the Borax have in it to kill the cockroaches?
Wow. Spot on.packed full of information. Another great show.
Glad you enjoyed it!
TY Im made this while ur viedo was playing n again TY for ur informative info..
Cool
Super informative, much thanks... Going tongive it a shot!
Great.
How long does it take to work on rat? I believe mine had about 12g of mixture of peanut butter and soda and another 20g disappeared today. Any info??
Not long at all. kzhead.info/sun/ed2cg9OIooZpaXk/bejne.html
Thank you! I just wondering if would work for ants too. Thanks for the info.
Yes it will.
Good morning, your feed has come up a lot hour ago. But I was on the phone not too much information. I guess but I had picked up on your. Directions for the rodents before with the Cornell and soda. I think I've been mixing it right? I'm still getting a lot of mice. I have been cleaning up a lot of weeds in the backyard that have overgrown where I live now, but I don't know what to do know
Good morning! Thanks so much for the comment and watching the show.
What about possums? Will this harm them? I have both but don’t want to hurt the possums.
Nope, but possums do eat rodents.
Thank you for the tips and advice ! I live in a state where hanta virus has killed a few people! The mice are horrible this year ! We absolutely can not keep up! Question for anyone that may know if a cat , dog or chicken eats a rodent that ingested this mix would it bother them?
It will not bother them.
In a previous video You used flour, over 2 years ago. In this one instead You use Jiffy corn muffin mix. Is there a difference using flour or Jiffy corn muffin in the mix? Thanks
The mix has a better attraction to the rodents than plain flour I found.
@@pinemeadowshobbyfarmafruga8319 I appreciate Your videos, I have a squirrels problem. Thanks for the valuable information and advice You are providing.
I just watched your videos from 2 years ago for doing this method and right away mixed up 10 dishes and set them out around my coops. We just had a fresh snowfall last night and I can see how active they are. I thought I had things under control this past month….nope. This is war. The rats must go. My chickens aren’t laying because of them. Thank you for sharing this method. I’ve tried everything and now I’m giving this a try. Anything that won’t hurt my livestock and dogs I will do. I hate rats. 😖
They do come back. Have to keep this out a fresh ever few weeks to maintain the population.
I’ve got 20 dishes out now. They are everywhere. I will win this battle. Nasty critters they are. Put 10 around the chicken coops last night and today I put 10 more out around the cattle loafing shed, the goose coop and pig barn. The next snow flurry will let me know if it’s working. That’s when I can see their paths of travel clearly. I’ll be keeping this up forever if it works for my farm. 🙏🙏🙏@@pinemeadowshobbyfarmafruga8319
I also added powdered peanuts to the mix in hopes of louring them in. Lol. @@pinemeadowshobbyfarmafruga8319
@@pinemeadowshobbyfarmafruga8319 we don't have hantavirus up where I'm at... but the person next door not harvesting his corn until December and a warmer winter than usual caused a population explosion. I was about to order the PoP but will hold off. We had the exterminator by in our barn because despite our best efforts we had to take the animals outside and fumigate with CO gas. I hate using poison so this will become my maintenance plan.
Can I put the stuff out on patio out in the open for rats and squirrels
Yes.
I will try this😊
All the best
Where did u but the water tank?
I did'nt purchase them. Discovery Channel bought them for me while they were here filming for two weeks and building my greenhouse for my family. You can see it in an episode of Season 2 Episode 2 HONEY I TORCHED THE HOMESTEAD on Discovery Channel and Animal Planet. The series is called HOMESTEAD RESCUE. We have filmed fiveprojects with them so far.
What about rabbits? I'm in WA have wild rabbits out here.
Do they get rid of Weasels?
Nope.
I was waiting for you to SHOW the EXACT ratio of ingredients that u mix. didnt see that in this video? did i miss it?
50-50 is the ratio. I only use Four Tablespoons of each.
ok thnx @@pinemeadowshobbyfarmafruga8319
Will it kill ground hogs?
nope
I just put a tray out in my garage. I think its chipmunks in there
Yup, will get them too.
You said it will kill squirrels
Yup, it does.
DUDE can you ramble less and just give the ratio of ingredients, jjesus christ
Well that aint never gonna happen on my show. Just saying. And yes, Jesus is my Lord and Savior, Have a blessed day.
