From what I could see in the screenshot from Bulbapedia his Italian name is Signore Grandangolo which translates to Mr. Wide-angle. Nowhere near as funny as Otto Focus but still a fitting name for the photo guy

One more fact about the battle Charlene or whatever! You can actually tell how old they are by looking at the glove’s sleeves, short=young and Long=Old! For example, Nita is the youngest, Evelyn is the second youngest, Dana is the second oldest, and Morgan is the oldest.
And now that I think about it, since Nita comes from "night", it's also a play on the phrase "the night is young". Genius!

Fun Fact : The former Team Rocket grunt found in Pokémon Black and White can also be found in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. Not many people would know him since not everyone went to Kanto in these games, but he is the Team Rocket member who stole a mechanical part of the Kanto Power Plant and hid it in the Cerulean Gym. I think so, because they both have a strange accent.
I feel like the Ex-Rocket Grunt in Icirrus is the same one you fight in Cerulean in HGSS
In SM and USUM there is a female pokemon breeder called Ikue, who has only Pikachu. She is reference to anime voice actress of Pikachu, Ikue Ohtani. Other games also reference to her, but they were lost in translation.
Funfact at 2:40 If you play the games in German those four actually have the french words for the times of the day as their names: Nita being called 'Nuit' which is the french word for night, Evelyn being called 'Soir' for evening, Dana being called 'Journée' for day or daytime and Morgan being called 'Matin' for morning.
There's actually an NPC named Aimee inside of lumiose City she's one of the NPCs you can battle in the city in some of the alleyways and she was one of the winners who got a signed copy of Pokemon x and y and she uses a Pikachu which is her favorite Pokemon you can also find her here on KZhead

That's correct. When you defeat him, he says that he plans on going back to his home country and reviving Team Rocket there, but obviously in Black & White he found love and chose to settle down with a family rather than attempt the revival. Also in the Japanese version of Gold and Silver, rather than speak in mangled English like in the English language games I read somewhere that he just speaks in full English or at least puts plenty of random English phrases into his speech, in order to paint him as "American" like Lt. Surge. This being before 5th gen existed, it makes sense that he'd have a cameo appearance in Unova.
I remember there's a Psychic in Pokemon X and Y who, after defeating him, says your party's power level is over 9000. And there's an NPC in SwSh who will battle you by employing the F.E.A.R tactic. For those unaware, FEAR stands for Focus Sash, Endeavor, (Quick) Attack, and Rattata (though many other Pokemon can be used). Basically, you have a low-level Pokemon fight a higher level opponent. Of course, the higher-leveled Pokemon will attack first, bringing the Rattata down to 1 HP (thanks to Focus Sash) and since the Rattata will go second, using Endeavor will also bring the opponent down to 1 HP. At the second round, having Rattata using Quick Attack (which has priority) will cause them to go first, dealing exactly 1 damage and defeating the opponent.
You could’ve also mentioned the Celestial Tower NPC’s in Black 2/White 2 (which also hosts the strongest Female NPC in any Pokémon game) due to their unusual post game side quest for you to ring his bell for his beloved, though you’re encountered with a bunch of his exes and the bell rings, yet he never hears it. The only reward you get out of this endeavor is a… Revive. 1 singular revive for all of that effort. Yep, pretty strange.
Nob Ogasawara really is the king of making NPCS Funny/Interesting, and probably created French Localised "Otto Focus" too. 😁😎😇😈

Hachiko's story is so sad when i watched the film about him i cryid its the only move that got me so emotional becouse i love animals so mutch even more than humans. I started to almost cry again just hearing it again...

In HeartGold and SoulSilver, Otto Focus is called "F. Otto" in the french releases
In the Spanish ones, he's called "Tío F.Otto", which means Uncle F.Otto, basically meaning Uncle Photography

There are two more memes on the Gen VI games that also make me laugh when I come across them in replays: In XY in Route 10 I think (the one between Coumarine City and Geosenge Town there’s a Psychic that when defeated he claims your Pokémon’s power is “over 9000” In ORAS there’s a character that flat out says “One does not simply walk into a Mirage Spot” after the famous Boromir line/meme

One thing I think you missed was that former rocket grunt in unova talks in a similar way as the grunt in heartgold and soulsilver who had no idea team rocket disbanded and was a operating on his own. You encounter him in cerulean city I think

Richard Gere filmed a movie in my hometown in Rhode Island called “hachi” based on that story. They made a statue to commemorate the dog at our local train station.
My favorite NPC fact is Beauty Nova in the Battle Maison. She's transgender and in her English defeat quote says: "Yes, a mere half year ago I was a Black Belt! Quite the transformation, wouldn't you say." Remember the female Black Belt trainer class are Battle Girls. It's even more blatant in a literal translation of the Japanese, which reads "I was a Karate King just half a year ago; the power of medical science is awesome, wouldn’t you say?!"

I suppose that moment in an early point of the manga/anime One Piece where there was a dog who constantly waiting for their owner but the master died yet the dog still waited for it's master's return every day, is based on that same story Pokemon took the same idea from.

Had to pause mid "Battle Maison" talk.. having grown up in a french part of canada.. xD this game has a lot of french references and that's one. Maison is french for House and is pronounced more like "Maiz-On" with a softer n sound.. (sorta like how vivillion's name includes "papillion", the french word for butterfly that is pronounced like pap- ee- on" with that same soft N.. haha)

I remained my first time playing Pokémon, which was Pokémon X. One of the most vivid things that I reamber where those two Skiddo. I remember that I wanted to catch them and take care of them due to the story of the trainer abandoning them.

Craziest Pokémon NPC fact is how some people in Ecruteak talk about seeing the tower burn. That would make them over 150y old! If we take Pokémon Generations as canon, on episode 6 they imply that Eusine is the kid watching the tower burn. That would also make him over 150y old!!! Crazy stuff, crazy stuff

NYC is my home, so Unova is one of my favorite locations in any game. It is very much under-appreciated I think. I'm not saying it's better than Kanto or anything, just that it has a special place in my heart. Also, Otto Focus is such an amazing, genius name.
