Infiray Outdoor along with IrayUSA have set the bar yet again with the world's very first true high definition thermal weapon sight. Never before have we been able to see in the dark THIS clearly. Never before have we been able to detect THIS far! There have been many advancements in thermal technology over the past decade and this is no doubt the biggest leap in thermal sensors we've seen in years. Night hunting with thermal has just been advanced well beyond what we ever dreamed!
And Bigfoot will still be blurry.
That’s because Bigfoot is blurry😂
Too funny! True, but funny.
Lol 😂man in monkey suit
😂
That's a really, really good point man! My sentiments exactly! Ya hit my funnybone😊😊
I’m sure it has a price tag to match! It probably stinks as bad as the results of that 55 grain laxative! 😂 By the time I get the money saved up to buy what I want, something newer and better comes along. I’m guessing a 4K model next! Great hunts guys! Just looked it up. Good news they dropped the MSRP! It was $18k! Now it’s only $16k! Now where did I put that mag light and duct tape……..
Duct tape? No QD rubber band?
@@carlosugarte1450 I switched out the wife’s chapstick with a krazy glue stick. That freed up the duct tape! 😁 She usually grabs every rubber band and ink pen in sight, so no rubber bands for me! She used to ask me where I was going to hunt and what time I would probably be back home. Now she just stands at the door with her hands on her hips with a mean look on her face and doesn’t say a word. Looks like the krazy glue is still holding! 🤣🤣🤣
That's insane. I guess if money is of no concern, or you're paid to slay varmints, hogs etc. Amazing image though.
Is it rated for the devastating recoil of a 50 BMG rifle? And also is it waterproof up to 2 digit meter depths like a normal optic is? Those two things are kind of important
@@GW2964There are people getting paid to hunt hogs?!
Great presentation. I hunt A LOT at night here in S.TX. Unfortunately 99% of even us hard core folks will never be able to justify $17k for NV. I practically had to use a defibrillator on my wife when she found out my current NV was just N of $6k!! I just don't see the cost for the technology. It is probably embarrassingly overpriced but that is on par with any quality shooting sport equipment. I really wish manufacturers would get the concept that 10% more sales at 50% markup beats 1% sales at current markup!! But then again, you would have customers to deal with.
I feel ya we nearly had a knock down drag out because I got a 3500.00 thermal scope and I almost had to send it back it got that bad. So I promised I would sell my SXS (which is prised ridiculously to high for anyone to buy lol) I still have the scope and SXS (for now) till she gets mad again then Ill sell the scope maybe!
Let's not be overly dramatic. It's on sale right now for a steal at EuroOptic. $15.5k and it will be on your doorstep in 2 days! You might have to wait for them to restock them though because I'm getting ready to buy one for each of my buddies for Christmas. 😂
@@joshuareed3999can I be your buddy
@@joshuareed3999 Hey buddy! LOL Did you win the Lottery?
@@user-cj9yc2vj6l I sure did. And you're my best good friend. 😄
*Night Crew* Bravo well done, thank-you sir for taking the time to introduce us to this new optic. GOD Bless.
Stunning! Great job guys! Keep going!
Oh man I can’t wait to get this kind of quality in 10-15 years when it might be affordable LOL. That’s incredible imaging.
Oh, you mean when 2560 comes out? LOL I'm with ya, brother!
Combat drones have this capability right now. Your life is nothing but a pixel.
This is beautiful. Kudos to editor, again. You boys are gifted.
That's awesome Guys. Thanks for sharing this great video with us.
Purely amazing!
That shot of the water was absolutely astonishing. 👍
The narration is Attenborough-esque. Good stuff.
Never gets old!
This is incredible!
Wow - that is game changing - thank you for posting
Awesome combination of content and soundtrack plus your voice quality is terrific. 👍🏻
Hunter: “I wonder what that cow is thinking about right now. Probably doesn’t know what to think” Cow: “wow those are some good thermals”
Its so exciting to see new tech that almost nobody can afford. Even good 640 weapon sights arent priced low enough for most people to consider and theyve been around for years. lol
I miss your narrated videos. They were part of what attracted me to your videos. Good to hear your voice. I"m running the ATN ThOR 4 in 640. This scope resolution is light years above ATN. WOW!!!! That being said, there is NO way I'm spending $16k+ on a thermal sight.
I would atleast go to another brand. ATN 640 is everyone else’s 384
ATN has a 1280 scope now.
Its okay we just have to wait a little bit longer for this cutting edge stuff to be manufactured cheaper
@@DeepSouthPredatorsI wish I had done more research before I bought my ATN 640...
that 470yd shot was insane! 👍👍👊👊🤙🤙
For those wondering $18k MSRP as of Oct. 2023.
ouch
You don't need such an expensive scope if you like 'to get them in close' I think I will stick to my ThermTec Ares 360 with a 5x optical zoom on base digital magnification, clear image within the ranges you like to shoot without the price tag.
great stuff fellas!
Beside of that awesome Iray Thermal Sight, what Camera do you use to film those Night Footage?
A friend had the iRay 75 whatever, $18k scope they just released. While the image quality was amazing there was latency in the display meaning that moving targets were almost impossible to hit. He sold it and is borrowing my Trijicon IR-Hunter 35mm Mk III. Lower resolution than that $18k iRay but you can track and hit moving targets.
iRay has to work on the system to get rid of the latency. I think Pulsar is good too.
Best hunting channel ever!!
Yeah, I would say they got great with the 483-yard shot!
Had a classmate who worked for Litton while I was developing an on board balancing system for the AH-64D a few years back…We know!
I definitely want/need one of those.
Love it.
Simply awesome. Great video sir.
I imagine this on a suppressed .338 subsonic rifle platform would be incredibly useful here in Canada. The only problem is that hunting at night here is illegal. But then again if it's pitch black and relatively silent....
Not to mention suppressors are illegal...at least for right now. There has been a movement to legalize them as they are considered safety implements in many other countries.
@@sdpy15wierd how those clamoring for european gun control leave out the readily available if not required suppressors.
This is pest control not hunting so maybe it’s the same in Canada aye
You might be the first person to ever make a high quality cinematic thermal video....just something to consider
Outstanding production values and sound track. You have another new subscriber
That Iray is amazing. I am glad we don't have "smellivision". Just being told how bad it was is enough for me.
Stunning!
A 9ft shot with a focused scope is pretty insane. Nice vid and commentary guys, keep up the good management!
Can u explain what focused scope means?
@@excitationofstereocilia2103 it’s basically a sight reticle with a predetermined set of ranges adjusted to its initial magnification to optimize long range target acquisition. Hence why being able to shoot something at 9 feet with a scope like that is pretty impressive given it’s meant for distant shots. Hell you could just use iron sights at 9 feet but since it’s also got thermal integrated into it the variability of being able to use a scope for not just long range shooting but also close range AND near total pitch dark conditions just goes to show the versatility of this scope.
"Keep up the good management" 😂😂😂😂
أحسنت النشر ممتاز شكرا لك ❤❤❤❤
thats awesome that is bro , loved this vid
Great stuff again Chris. You convinced me to go Thermal a couple of years ago, I’m using 640 in my spotter and scope but I don’t think my budget will ever stretch to this new upgade ☹️🏴.
I agree 💯.
wait a few years and they will become cheaper
buy 1 take 2 in Beijing now with free camo shirts
I just happened to see an ad for a game called "Hunting Sniper." The video clips they show in the ad reminded me of something I would see on your channel. I hope they have permission and you have royalties.
The quality of the image is surreal... Even most video games don't give you that kind of resolution on thermals, and yet, this is available for purchase as a civilian, its crazy, man.
Gotta love what you folks do with your Thermal hunting Skills in your neck of the wood's ... Hi Folks I am from the Land Downunder ( Australia ) we hav e our own night hunter's in this Country , but nonof them are as Specialised as you are .. Don't worry there are a couple of good Huntsmen out there , one has a Channel called Edge of the Outback 7 he & a few of his mates are giving it a good run ...
You got that right. Blessings from Central West NSW.
Great to hear 👍
*woods *hunters
What caliber did you use to shoot the 470 yard shot?
What was taking the images @ 18:58 of the cat ? That's some clear NV
Unbelievable quality
That is just amazing.
Impressive!
Thanks
What camera are using where there is colour and what lights are you using? Does not look to be infraed.
Does it have a built in range finder?
Bring on the night vision with thermal overlay!
Can this be used as a normal scope during the day with it powered off or no?
i just got a infaray t2 pro kit for about $500 that plugs into my phone. it doesnt look as good as above, but it still looks shockingly good. i can also see the fore and back ground stuff like you show in this video. i was able to spot about 10 deer from about 2200ft walking south across a field, also i could clearly see the tree line that was to their west at about 2600 ft. the deer were slowly walking and snacking in a field that had had been harvested and and empty months ago. i was up on a hill maybe 40 feet higher than the deer, but looking through a bunch of brush and trees, granted no leaves and it was about 30f outside and pitch black dark out. i have also used my camera to spot thermal leaks in my house. apparently you can attack this to a gun/rifle/crossbow as it came with the kit to do so.
Your footage looks great. Outside that IRay what other type of cameras or video cameras are you using. I like the quality your posting.
Pretty amazing optics! What an amazing time to be alive…. but I will admit, I am so glad that I am not young. The world of tomorrow is too invasive for me. There’s no more privacy.
don't move - there's a mosquito on your back - I'll get him 😅
It would've been nicer if they offered it with a higher base mag. 2x base mag is great for short range work and doesn't take advantage of the awesome 1280 sensor.
Its coming. Higher magnification in 1280. Not sure when but its in the works. Thanks for watching
It doesn’t get much worse than canine guts. I remember when I hit one with a car and some of the fecal matter was on my license plate and it smelled so terrible.
it's surely incredible. But the 18k pricetag also is ... incredible.
Looks very good ,is it on market to buy yet
It appeared to me that you were using an IR light sometimes. Does this scope have an IR mode? All video was recorded via the IRay 75?
Since you don’t have a light blinding them as they come in, how close can you let them come before shooting?
Does it come with ballistic calculator and rangefinder?
Yes
So the scope records footage?
I was watching people climbing out of a trench in the middle of the night to take a piss from a 1000yds away on thermal 30 years ago. Military tech though and only then available on Armour and Aviation. Good that this tech is getting affordable, the equivalent tech at the time for my rifle was a starlight scope that made everything look like a green snowstorm.
What rifle and caliber are these guys using?
Custom 243 on a Remington 700 platform. 55 grain ballistic predator rounds. It usually gets the job done
Make this in a clip on model and I’d buy it today.
Out of my league. But having said this even if this retired and tired Hunter could " Invest" in such a rig, is the life limited operation use, what(?) 3 years( ?) 5 years? What is the repair ability? Sure would be nice to have a thermal unit last as long and as maintenance free as an optical scope. 16k will always be out of reach for me. 2-5k is not. I do not know what the technical hurdles are for thermal chips but they must be substantial or a tightly controlled
18K........wow
Great picture to be sure. Slap on lrf and ballistics to make use of the 1280 sensor.. (Xm50 hunter, viva 5.5 X base mag on 384 sensor)
That's the best thermal camera I ever seen.
The ATN Thor 5XD will be in shooters hands in the coming weeks. I can't wait to see comparisons of these two scopes. The ATN being significantly more affordable.
Anything ATN belongs in the garbage.
@@user-xf2kx1kn2c I’ve not owned anything from ATN. But it sounds like you have. I’d love to know your experience. It may save me from making a mistake myself.
get a pulsar or iray
ATN= shit.
@@mikemalone007 get an AGM or the super hoggster
Can it also be used during the day?
It's thermal not night vision....so yes
@its4michael you can use night vision during the dau
Wow awesome guys
Is it rated for the devastating recoil of a 50 BMG rifle? And also is it waterproof up to 2 digit meter depths like a normal optic is? Those two things are kind of important
The 50 should never be a problem but good luck finding any fully digital technology to be waterproof (though some falsly claim).
Not all .50 bmgs have a lot of recoil. The math says my ar15 has more recoil, and everyone's shoulders agree. .50 BMG is 'woohoo, let's do that again'. My AR is 'aauugghh, I'm good, no thanks'.
Wow....
High resolution processing requires a lot of power, how is the battery life?
It only runs 30hz to help with battery but it still isn't great. I would probably grab one if it wasn't for this. I like a faster refresh rate for running targets.
16k 😮
You know what would suck? If an emp strike occurred here and messed up the kestral, range finder, and this thermal optic. My worst nightmare.
I keep my NGAL, nods & batteries in a Faraday cage backpack. I know that doesn’t help unless they’re in the backpack if/when a emp strikes. Don’t have a thermal yet
@@tomharper8351it doesnt help at all brother, there are plenty of live tests in the internet testing all reputable brands of faraday cages/bags and NONE manage to block GSM, how are they supposed to withhold a strong EMP attack?
Ah yes! A dollar per pixel!
is the sensor 1280?
Great Video 💯💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Nice Video, but how can you make a shot over 470 yrds whitout correction of the Holding Point ?
The sight has laser sighting and bdc built in....as with most mid to high end optics.
Ok thank you
what's crazy is, in real life it looks even better without KZhead's compression
$18,000 price tag is a huge barrier for almost anyone...
It's crazy how the technology is turning out now. A lot of the stuff that was exclusive only to military just now coming to civilian markets. And it's when it hits the civilian markets that the technology progresses and becomes really advanced.
$15.000 ouch! but magnificent
If only this stuff was affordable. 17k for a scopes insane.
$18,000. My God.
12:33 to 14:22 some of the best narration & footage. well done lads!! *SuBD* 16:33 *already got maggots in his mouth* remind me how TF they walk around with that many maggots??? was like spewing them out?🤔
Where do I get one?
The 75 mm lens on a 640 is great also... all you need - with the 1280 your not seeing the target any more clear..
*you're
If this is available to us what does the military have available. I could imagine the uses even for civilian search and rescue. Out looking for someone with autism or dementia can be tough and this would keep the search going all night.
Doesn’t ATN have a 1280 sensor now? ATN 5 Xd. I think u can get it with 4x lens for half the cost.
Holy Jesus !!! Blessed 🙂
Amazing! Only if they made it civilian affordable. $16,000 for thermal scope is specialty purpose which I don't have but even if I could afford it, would I? That's a lot of guns. I could purchase full auto AR with 640 thermal on it. 🤔
Man that rd layed the smack down on that kitty.!
This thing see landscapes better than my pvs14
Just wiw
it looks amazing but i cant justify $17999 the price tag is mind blowing
18K proving quality costs. Wonder how long it takes the market to catch up and the price to drop?
