Why do we hunt coyotes?
Coyotes are presently the most abundant livestock predators in western North America, causing the majority of sheep, goat, and cattle losses. For example, according to the National Agricultural Statistics Service, coyotes were responsible for 60.5% of the 224,000 sheep deaths attributed to predation in 2004.The total number of sheep deaths in 2004 comprised 2.22% of the total sheep and lamb population in the United States, which, according to the National Agricultural Statistics Service USDA report, totaled 4.66 million and 7.80 million heads respectively as of July 1, 2005. Because coyote populations are typically many times greater and more widely distributed than those of wolves, coyotes cause more overall predation losses. The United States government agents routinely shoot, poison, trap, and kill about 90,000 coyotes each year to protect livestock.
Coyotes typically bite the throat just behind the jaw and below the ear when attacking adult sheep or goats, with death commonly resulting from suffocation. Blood loss is usually a secondary cause of death. Calves and heavily fleeced sheep are killed by attacking the flanks or hindquarters, causing shock and blood loss. When attacking smaller prey, such as young lambs, the kill is made by biting the skull and spinal regions, causing massive tissue and bone damage. Small or young prey may be completely carried off, leaving only blood as evidence of a kill.
In the absence of the harassment of coyotes practiced by rural people, urban coyotes are losing their fear of humans, which is further worsened by people intentionally or unintentionally feeding coyotes. In such situations, some coyotes have begun to act aggressively toward humans, chasing joggers and bicyclists, confronting people walking their dogs, and stalking small children. Non-rabid coyotes in these areas sometimes target small children, mostly under the age of 10, though some adults have been bitten.

Hey what kind of bullets are those they use to kill 2 coyotes at the same time?
In practical terms, I'm thinking (guessing) if I were to do it - as a frugal shooter and not an affluent hobbyist - it would be some caliber such as 22-250 or 5.56x45mm, handloaded using expanding bullets. I'm just impressed at how seemingly quiet those guns are, with that level of suppression.

As brutal as some of these shots are, I have to respect that it's over once they've been hit. I appreciate that you go for heart or lung shots, or headshots if possible. If you're going to kill something, even coyotes or boars that are known to be nuisances, a quick clean shot is the least you can do for them. It gives respect back to a life you have to take, and that's what hunting should be about. Respect, but also necessity.

Predators like wolves are better off killing animals in the fores naturally, since their forest hunting keeps the animal variety under control basically self-sustaining the environment. Well thats if the area doesnt start getting polluted because of humans.

Many people don't understand how vital it is to eliminate predators like wild dogs and coyotes on the ranch. My dad bought a couple of pieces of land and animals, himself started his dream of having a ranch for his family, a rancher sold my dad weapons as well as telling him to be careful with coyotes, unfortunately my father never thought they were a threat so big until one day we arrived at the ranch and the vast majority of our animals, which had cost my father years of work, were dead and there was a large handful of coyotes all over the ranch, my dad got into his pickup and started killing all the coyotes he could for an hour until they left I had never seen my dad so sad and defeated
Memang sulit membuat orang mengerti masalah ini kecuali jika mereka mempunyai peternakan dan mengalami seperti apa yang ayah anda alami,, barulah mereka menyadarinya
Did he ever read one book about his dream? Where were these highly trained killer coyotes all those years before?
Just out of interest, are there any government projects to compensate farmers for killed animals by wildlife? Here in germany they get their value compensated as comercial hunting for predator decimation is also handled by the government and most of the times it''s cheaper to just compensate the farmer.

Hunting them every weekend for several years around northwest Ohio and three groups that hunted the area would routinely take 20 to 25 a weekend.
Coyotes assassins on the loose 😳
Factual statistics quantifying coyote predation would be interesting. Hunting them from afar on youtube (and wolves) suggests the damage is less (probably much less) than many claim, due to ignorance, often inadvertent, sometime arrogant. If's easy to find plenty of Hawg Hunters claiming they are doing a service controlling Hawgs, when they are doing no significant reduction and are making the opposition wary and more difficult to control using more effective tactics. The illusion is an international failing
@@johnmead8437 They provide those. They aren't exaggerated. This method is the cheapest and most humane method to deal with the problem. Otherwise these animals will quickly overbread. @@ChainsawGutsFuck I think you misunderstood, predators & prey. We are the predator, we enjoy taking prey. It's not unnatural, it's who we are, we've always have. Why do you think men get such a primal feeling hunting? It's man, the apex predator. Bro, I'm Aussie, I love shooting. Wish we could buy these type weapons... silencers.
Was this on the same farm in one night? If yes, then the farmer had a truly huge problem. I have seen what stray wild dogs can do to a herd of sheep. The carnage was shocking.
Can you tell me what game is this good for entertainment?
I can understand you have to protect your cows... But it's hard to watch so many animals dying like this
It's easy for you to watch when animals kill people.
Actually it's super easy, barely an inconvenience
It is so easy and emotionally satisfying to condemn those who are forced to do this when you recieve your beef sanitized in a clingwrapped plastic tray.

I keep waiting for you to get them all. Is this all one night and did you finally get to where there were no more?
They will never get them all and they will never stop them. But, perhaps all they need to do is reduce the numbers during the calving season and outside of that its not an issue.
Why is this so relaxing to watch
You should watch the rat hunter videos.
Because you’re a sick POS. Someone who lacks any empathy. It’s nothing to be proud of at all. The world needs less people like you who gets off on killing.
An otherwise quiet video, and then at around 9:35 😄
Good lord how many freaking coyotes are out and about in that area? They're like locusts.
Эти снайперы в Донбассе уже но ихими методами будут уничтожать коллеги снайперы
This is the reason why I am in favor of hunting, not when it is an endangered species, but when we see scenarios like this,
Саронча это вы кишкоблуды
Yes
I think they were there before use. I think the idea of use watching to much territorial animals has use acting like the lion or some sort of animal.
Bruh, how these coyotes managed to kill such a big cow? Like, it's hard for me to imagine coyotes (which are the size of a medium dog) taking it down 💀 (we don't have coyotes where I live so yeah, idk much about 'em)
What brand/model of night vision?
Excelent shooting and a fine diciplin with good accurate and safe shots while the animal is still and presenting a good target. Top notch. and..omg there is a lot of them, clearly a well needed regulation.
when you don't care, when you see animals being mistreated or enjoy seeing animals being killed, that behavior says a lot about who you are.
These coyotes get the mercy of a quick, painless death. The ones that live either die of starvation or are ripped to pieces by younger competitors.
@George Raptis Get them a couple of white castle sliders. They'll shit so bad that they'll never come back.
sniper elite 4: therian DLC😂
The number of animals killed is 83 predatory animals, not 70
It’s unfortunate how little people realize how much of a problem these pests are. Thanks for everything you do.
These nasty pests are something that have to be controlled. Between them and feral hogs, I'm not sure which of them are worse. Thanks for sharing some fantastic footage...
Imagine if vegans understood this process. How many pests need to exterminated to protect their veggies
Hey, I'm sure the coyotes feel similar lol.
They were there thousands of years before the ranchers.
@@ronkipp1862 yeah but the supply and demand is not even close
Thermal has come a long way! The view is so crisp.
You can see every piece of them!
I swear I was able to see their ribs
Definitely
For $6k, it better be 4K crisp. Holy crap.
Looks like a game, the picture are way to crisp. The blood is so crisp. Which you wound not see that far away.
When you don't get selected in military
What's the brand name of this thermal scope?
I think the glowing blood splatter is pretty cool.
Eu acho que não é sangue kkkkk acho que é pelo voando
Agreed
Which rifles are they using ? Which cartridge?
Very good work, very professional. People who criticize dont realize consequences for farmers, its their work, their life, the way to feed their family.
Is their ecosystem, those coyotes were there long before the farmers, it is the farmers who invaded the coyotes' territory, so they have the right to eat whatever they want in their territory, including the farmers and their family for invading ecosystems.
@@campo_rojo Dont walk on the grass... It's not the presence of the coyote that's the problem, it's their number, they reproduce very quickly and enormously. We have the same problem with the wolf in Europe and it is a disaster for the breeders, who have been there as long as the wolf.
Прикинь, и у киллеров тоже есть семьи. И они точно также кормят свою семью. Но почему-то вы не одобряете их работу.

The paradox is that they are killing in order to later be the ones to kill their animals.
