In this video Karma goes over all of the expenses that we incurred while renovating a 125m2 duplex apartment in Istanbul, Turkey. We also show you the before, the during and the after shots while walking the property.

  • Congratulations from Chicago on a job well done! Gorgeous transformation with breathtaking view of the Bosphorous, to say the least! Absolutely stunning transformation. Especially, love the gorgeous chic kitchen and the spiral stairway leading to the Zen terrace. I also have view of the Bosphorous from my Kadikoy rental albeit not as gorgeous as yours 😃. I’ll be in Kadikoy, Sisli and Bomonti, next week to check out a constuction and divine willing, a possible closing in Kagithane. Would love to connect with you guys if you’re open and of course, mutually, the time and schedule permit. All the best!

    • Thank you sooo much! Building has been professionally tested for earthquake integrity. Actually a very sturdy building. No lift. We are on the 3rd and 4th floor.

    • Hey Nihan, we spent about 2 full months last year looking at about 50 apartments. We used our local agent and good friend Keith Boyle, as well as Sahibenden website.

    • Hey Denise, Incredibly difficult decision. It’s been one of our favorite renovation projects we have ever done. But with our new little baby girl still in the NICU, we are having to change some of our plans for this year on multiple fronts. But believe me, we would rather be keeping it than selling.

  • There is no denying that this is a stunning property! I love the windows and light. But… I’m pretty disappointed by the kitchen 😕 The corner sink is awful to use, the appliances are very small and the black is dated/ the color scheme makes it look cheap. I’d redo the kitchen if I bought it, and I’d want a bath. But I like the roof and how the layout works now.
