About us,
We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.
Please subscribe and follow our families journey, with the up’s and down’s in moving from the UK to rural France and restoring this beautiful building to its former glory.

  • My son, who works with stone & brick for a living, said rather than let the rain carry away the sand, that you should save the sand that came off with the wall to reuse to mix with lime when you rebuild the wall, or for any other projects, & you should gather the stones. He says it will save you a ton of money later.

  • That was a great effort by all, Jonathan amazing work with the hedge, I would like to thank you for acknowledging the people who watch your ads and likes, as not everyone can afford to contribute, I know you are very busy and the fact that you still put out videos for us speaks volumes of what truly wonderful people you are

  • That new shelter for the wood is great. What a difference it makes. Loved seeing Terry as Little Green Riding Hood, the famous brother of Little Red Riding Hood. What a hoot! At least you looked warm, Terry.

  • The wood shed was an amazing recycling job! From ruin to an impressive, functional new building. Really nice to watch all of you working together. I think we all need a dose of that these days, even vicariously. We need to be reminded of the good things and good people in the world and your family exemplifies that. Thank you for sharing.

  • When I think of how far you have come in 12 months --- then I imagine what it will be like in another 12. I reckon you'll still have a lot to do but you'll be sooo much more comfortable. Tracy, you keep digging and maybe you'll find the other set of those teeth! Hope they're not in a skull!!! Thanks for the burst of energy your videos always give me. Sending Reiki back.

  • Great video. Love that Jonathan is learning the satisfaction of getting a job done at an early age. Brilliant seeing wood store go up! Well done. So glad your family was able to give you a helping hand and accomplish so much. So excited for you that you were able to repurpose those materials into something so very useful and needed. As always Terry your cinematography skills ever lovely and constantly improving to our benefit. What a joyous artform you are turning this into for your viewers. I know it's quite a ways away, but I long to see your other artforms with furniture recovering, repurposing, painting, et all... I'll be there when it time to egg you on. As to Ash, the voice of reason, I see your eyes sparkle a bit more when you are able to accomplish outside things. Keep at it my friend you are making progress, and I am so pleased for you.

  • Terri & Ash love your Chateau renovation journey its fun to watch how grown up Johnathan is working along with the grown ups not complaining about the work he is doing to help out. The building that was covered with vines is the perfect place for your wood to stay dry, I don't remember what you said you would use the inside of the building for. Well enjoy the week hope you have nice weather. God Bless Kathy 🇺🇸

    • @@Sgirl yes, that's what I mean. It's the same thing for me if I'm going to watch 30 seconds rather than skipping it. I just put the phone down and do a thing 😉 Washing the dishes was a bit of a stretch maybe, but you can do a lot with 30 seconds and they usually come in sets of 2. But thanks! I don't think most people know they don't need to watch the whole thing.

You both just be who you are, it makes for a rock solid relationship. You remind me of me and my hubby, and we’ve been married 36 years, so it’s been a recipe for success for us. What you’re achieving there is so admirable. Tony and Tracy are so inspirational, powering through every task with confidence and enthusiasm, for the common good, as well as in their cottage. I’m enjoying this channel so very much. In only the past week or so I’ve been watching, I’m seeing your subscription numbers rising. Well done guys, I’m so happy for you all. • Nice to see spring underway, even in the form of wind and rain 💦💦. Amazing what family teamwork can do. I see the smiles and boost to morale! We have an overabundance of wood, but 'm sure your firewood is more dear. That woodshed is a Godsend. I thought of you all today. I managed to put together an overseas cell phone package to the UK so I could call my best friend. We share the same birthday in March. Always called in the past from a land line and got ALL messed up! An operator from the caribbean saved the day. Used to be 01144 from the USA, but not anymore. He helped me me with +44 and drop the 0 in front of her Leed's phone number. I had him on my cell while I dialed his instructions on my husband's phone and she picked up!! It was brilliant and tearful to hear her West Yorkshire accent! Friends and family are EVERYTHING! Cheers! ~ Diane

  • That lean-to looks like it went up fairly quickly. I am, however, willing to bet that you may find out how much wood you really are going to use for the place and will need to either add on or make another shelter. Congrats, overall, on all that willing help from the family. It must have been great to finally be able to have them be a part of all this.
