Back in 1976, I was driving a 2.5 ton flat flat bed pulling a flat bed 22 footer, I left Phoenix, Az., empty to El Centro, California to pick up a load of 60 40 Ammonia Nitrate Fertilizer, I was pulled over by the CHIPS for an inspection on I8, the Smokie actually got out the white gloves he climbed underneath the duce1/2 and proceeded to wipe down the underside of the truck. The week before I had sandblasted the truck underneath and frame and then repainted it black, the cop couldn't believe it to be this clean, the company I worked for had 12 of these trucks. These trucks were called FABCOs they were field trucks all wheel drive 3axel, usually they're loaded with caked on mud, in Arizona. The highway cop thought he was going to write tickets for a half hour, he asked me if I had scrubbed the bottom of the truck with a toothbrush, I still laugh about that to this day. @@rayrussell6258 The last time we went there was long before Covid - 2006, so it had nothing to do with that issue. Yes, they have a fake shoot-out; the bird-cage theater and some stores to buy trinkets. That’s about it. IMO it’s not worth the trek. you know that guy who played the native american in the commercial was italian not native american lol "Mr. Cody had strong opinions about how native Americans should be depicted in film, often correcting misperceptions about Indian culture, behavior or history. Mr. Cody said he was born in Oklahoma territory to a father, Thomas Long Plume, who was a Cherokee Indian, and a mother, Frances Salpet, who was Cree. His father performed in Wild West shows and circuses. Although the television and movie-viewing public generally think of Mr. Cody as an American Indian, his heritage was questioned in 1996 by The New Orleans Times-Picayune, which reported, based on an interview with a half sister, May Abshire, and baptismal records and other documentation, that Mr. Cody was a second-generation Italian-American from Louisiana."

I'm in Fresno, California, and we're bone dry out here. One of the last three years of the worst drought we've seen since 1976-77
Beautiful drive 🌼☕
Enjoyed the ride, thanks
I'm surprised at how green it is...nice ride! Thank you
So glad to see you posting again. The desert is beautiful during the monsoon. See you next time Mike.
Hey Mike, great to see you on utube..we wondered where you were because haven't had you on my utube for ages.. great that you're back..cheers from Melbourne, Australia..
Close to where I live. We had good rain this monsoon season - nice and green not to mention not too hot.
Mark Munro. Manitoulin Island Ontario Canada . I hand a bus tour through all of these places and the Mexican deserts copper canyon. The people were kind and the food was really good.❤
Wow - it is so very green.
Sounds pretty good, it's good to do something you like with family when your not on the road God protects you every were you go.
I wish you have got a pleasant and safe trip. Hello from Azerbaijan.
Thanks Mike loved it UK John
when i hear about Bisbee AZ , all i can think about is that movie TREMORS with Kevin Bacon . lol
so thrilled to see a notification today , love your videos !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Been down these roads a many a time! We were stationed at Ft. Huachuca Arizona…smiling
Love this video, Mountain Man. You were talking about Iron Eyes Cody, the American Indian who did the commercials about littering. Ironically, he was not really a Native American but actually an Italian American from New Jersey who embraced the Native American Life and Culture. Feel free to look up and verify that because it's true. Thanks for the view of Bisbee, Arizona. A Dear friend of mine was going to show me around there because she grew up in Bisbee. However time and life conspired against me and unfortunately she passed away before I got the chance to come out and see the town. Take Care and Happy Travels Always!
Good morning, good morning!
Great Video ... Amazing Scenes
I have one of those Bluetooth receivers and it works great, I use it to play music from my phone through my stereo.Im old enough to remember Woodsy Owel saying " Give a hoot don't pollute ". I remember driving across Wyoming in the 70s and there was trash in the ditches from Evanston to Cheyenne, it's not like that now.
I used to cross the border from San Diego to Mexico quite often back in the 80's and 90's. It was easy to do. Some fun and fond memories of those days.
When I was down there I couldn't believe tall green grass
Only place in the world I guess they sent some to Africa to grow some their also. February was amazing century plants thank you so much
Oh funny story leave Tucson a.m. arrive Douglas loco gringo siesta haha 😂😆 nice people
Tombstone absolutely gorgeous woodwork bars backbars didn't see any dings in the wood from being transported in a wagon Kansas City st. Louis amazing thank you
I'm stuck in Michigan, so riding shotgun was fun and entertaining. Happiness is The Highway!

Hey there brother your truckin close to my neck of the wood’s tombstone is about 55 miles from me get our Dodge serviced in Sierra Vista. I had to go looking for your videos. I don’t get any alerts anymore but glad to see you’re still out there hitting the road. Be safe dude.
Hello MMM thank you for sharing your experience with thoughts.
Yeah that Indian name is Red cloud, Sioux Nation
I remember the Indegineous American with a tear coming down ..... About don't litter . Have a Safe Trip !! 😃❤🙏💟
I love that drive..
Must have made that drive a hundred times..looks unusually green..Even for monsoon seasons..
I live i Douglas, AZ and just watched this video. On your way out of town Im guessing you didnt stop at the weigh station . That was probably the reason Adot police followed you. We have such a serious problem of human smuggling here. The scenery was great and yes we have had a strong monsoon this year and last. I watch you a lot, particularily Colorado. Look forward to new scenery.
Your inspection gap coincides with the covid lockdown! Sounds like "the law" just got back in business. 😉 You surprised us tonight with the new video. I enjoyed this a lot. Tombstone is on my bucket list for someday, now I've already seen the roads to get there.
I wouldn’t waste my time , Tombstone, that is. Been living here since ‘77. What was once interesting site to visit (back in ‘77) is now a shell n tourist trap. Very disappointed last time we visited it - just say’n.
@@K_DZ236 I'd understood they have movie sets to walk around and see, and re-enactments of historical events. Maybe things that were cutback by covid can now re-start soon. Thanks for the heads-up. I'll check into things before I make any commitments to drive there.
@@rayrussell6258 The last time we went there was long before Covid - 2006, so it had nothing to do with that issue. Yes, they have a fake shoot-out; the bird-cage theater and some stores to buy trinkets. That’s about it. IMO it’s not worth the trek. It’s entirely up to you, even the hotel we stayed at was rundown and rather seedy. Definitely not the original setting….even the tombstones were outside of the perimeter….
Thanks MMM nice ride along peace!!!
There is a great leather worker, shop in Tombstone. Worth a stop. This is not the real boot hill. The real one was moved to make way for a gasoline station. There is no price reduction to tour Boot hill, for seniors or military.
Back in the 1970’s we had the Tennessee Trash video on tv it’s still on KZhead I think Ed Bruce sang it. It was epic and I still play it for younger people today.
interesting ride, tks, weird that they had a double fence on the border
Yea Roland V drums (electronic) are excellent quality. Plugs right into Bluetooth and phone to play along to any song. Got them for recording only for my band. Couldn’t be happier for under $600. Anyone who would like to hear the quality of the drums on one of my bands recordings, you can shoot me your email address and I’ll send you some in MP format. I’m also the lead vocalist. Rock on Mountain Man, I’ve been with you since the first wild snow video .
Beautiful scenery. I was tracking your trip on Google Earth. You mentioned using a drone over the copper mine. The mine is huge, a drone video would be impressive. Don't know if they'd let you.
So nice to have a new video with my morning coffee 😁
💯💯💯👍🏼👍🏼‼️‼️‼️
Good to see U again
Nice to see you again
Other than the gorgeous scenery on this vid, i've done more laughing. What a wonderful grandfather, with working with Myla and like so many of us, well, me included, the chance to harass my grand children, "hey mine". For some reason my grandson named my wife Buzz, so when i see him i say "My Buzz" and then the fit hits, no, no, no my Buzz he says and off we go and then my son says, "Dad, don't harass my kids" I want to know what are grandparents really for? Keep up the vids Mike, you make em, we'll watch em. SEE YA
Good morning, going to watch this on the big screen. ✌️😘
Love this channel content from Pakistan Wondering why no auto generated from English subtitle in this video usually always option available
Them hills look like they have eyes.
Hey brother, I'm trying to set my kit, Ludwig 8 pc(drummer 30 years now), I just bought up for recording to share on a church drum group I'm with, I also drum at church. I've been in touch with techs at sweetwater but caught your vid today and like the way you've put yours together actually. Might be cheaper and more simple. How can I connect with you to get a idea on the layout more in-depth? Thanks and be safe...driver!
FROM DOUGLAS AZ BLESSINGS CHRIST JESUS IS LORD AMEN ✝️🛐 🤗😘
Great video thanks for posting can you please tell about the speed limits for hgv in the USA?
Those mountain's are either the chiracahuas or dragoons....the Chiricahuas are the Apache's hunting and sacred grounds and are in the Coronado NF....you really need to go over to Portal, AZ
FYI, Bisbee is at elevation of 5,500 ft.
I live in Benson. We are in monsoon season and we are getting a lot of rain. Be safe.
Agua Prieta…dark water…Judy Rodman and Eddie Money sang songs about the Mexican border.
Doc Holli-Days is this weekend in Tombstone. This will be the 6th year of this event and the first year I cannot make it. This highway is a beautiful drive.
Hi from México city.... Viva México, border
👍👍👍
That's really green for AZ. We go down that way to find snakes.. almost thought we saw you today. It was #373 maybe??
My family is from Douglas. Before that, Mexico in the days of Pancho Villa!
you know that guy who played the native american in the commercial was italian not native american lol "Mr.
Good morning from Arvada Co at 4:37❤️❤️❤️
Every thing is so green ,I went through 2016 and it was brown
Oatman Az , went there a lot , enjoyed looking in the shops kids liked the donkeys or burros that roam the streets
Nice Ride
You didn't show us Saint David, between Benson and Tombstone ... too bad ! All forested, shade everywhere, Saint David almost looks like New England. Some other time ... RICHARD
