A friend and I flew to Douglas and did a low approach to Rwy 3, crossing the US/MX border wall on downwind, base and final back over the border wall, which was fun. From there we flew west along the border wall to Bisbee, where we flew over the Bisbee mines and tourist areas. From there we flew to Tombstone and flew over the main strip where the OK Corral and other wild west attractions are located. It was a fun 1.5 hr flight.

I grew up in Douglas and know all those towns, buildings, roads and byways. My buddy and I even took off from Douglas Airport after he received his private pilot's license from Cochise College back in the day. I'm still alive, thank God. Thanks for posting this.
How fun to see familiar cities from such a very different viewpoint!!
I just got home from work and this was a great treat to see, i LOVE this video
Thanks Samuel. It was a fun flight!
Wonderful video. I love it. Did you have to advise when you crossed the ADIZ ?
Thanks John. No notification is required at DGL... I was told by locals "just don’t land in MX". The 3 end is so close to the wall it is normal procedure to fly over the wall when using Rwy 3. I did that approach many years ago in my Grumman when attending a fly-in there so I decided to give it another go in the RV. 😊
