nowadays you can't even fucking sit
Rare Pepe. lol so true, they just assume shit just because we sit a certain way.
Met a nurse back in January in ER who told every patient in there that they are mentally ill because if they sitted with their legs crossed lol. She literally went to each one and whispered "You have a lot of mental problems, look how you sit, its not normal and You need to get mental help asap." .... amazing...
CyberWolfAnkha Some people disgust me.
Rare Pepe. Facts
Rare Pepe. logic
I sit however the fuck is comfortable

Das right I'm a girl and I man spread I women spread LOL
Idgaf if it's inappropriate to man spread I DO WHAT I WANT TO DO
Ethereal Rainbow my mom would have whooped my sister for not listening 😆😂😂
the awkward moment when you meet eyes with the teacher when they talk.
Mood
Hahaha🤣
unless it’s that hot one 🦋🐱🦋🦋
I usually have stare contest with them 😂
I usually stare into my teacher's eyes
People always think I am drumming my fingers in impatience when I am really drumming to the beat of whatever song I hear in my head.
I cross my arms because I don't know what to do with them
fucking same here. i sometimes hate them.
SomeGuy YouDontKnow 😂😂
I do it bc it's comfy
Shady Tyrell same
ii do it when i have no pockets and it's cold
I literally agreed with nothing in this video.
Jamie_ 82802 same XD "Man spreading to show dominance." TF??? Great, now I look like a sexist for not crushing my balls, thanx random video with no credibility!
I dont think they meant the normal spreading. They meant the unnecessary wide spreading that some guys are doing. You dont need to take two seats on a bus to not crush your nuts. Usually, it should be enough to spread as wide as your shoulder. Anything wider and you are overdoing it.
+Jamie_82802 Did you figuratively agree with anything?
Attack Doge it's funny you say that I watched this video with 2 guy friends one said the same thing as you, the other loosely crosses his legs and said "so because my mother taught me not to spread I'm a confontational douch"
Jamie_ 82802 same
As a real psychologist with real PhD, I can tell you that the majority of the info here is CRAP. Case in point....Eye Movements. Eyes moving up and right does NOT mean that you are using your imagination. Everyone is wired differently so eye movements mean different things. One more example of why you don't believe everything on the internet
And wasn't it the other way around? I could have swore the right side was logic and the left side was creativity. Maybe I'm dain bramaged.
Thank you Doctor love 😁
i definitely look up and to the left when im trying to recall something thats all i know
And we are supposed to believe you??😂
@@jasonmoose7551 left memory , right imagination , creativity , comeback
I *ALWAYS* sit like a boy with my legs far apart and I'm a girl idk why it's just comfortable 😂😂
I do it because my thights and i'm slightly overweight and my cloth folds in in "that" area and idk it looks weird so when i spread my legs the cloth doesn't look weird that's why I do it also yeah its so comfortable
Navya Narula ☺🖒
I have always sat that way, my dad always said I walk like a farmer & I must sit like one too!
Hay Hay Ikr

augie tomski it is i think

augie tomski probably same people but the richest didnt change their name
*Uhm.. where did you get the fact that it's normal for people to stare at you in Europe? Generalizing much? I live in Sweden, and it's definitely not considered normal to stare at people. And if we happen to catch eyes we look away immediately.*
She said Eastern Europe, but even then it's still bullshit. I'm Bulgarian and have been there multiple times and that has never happened.
JookaBits I live in Belarus(near Russia) and everybody stares at each other in public transport. They look at each other's clothes and hairstyle and they can even discuss you with someone they know. It's pretty bad and uncomfortable. That's why i don't like Eastern Europe despite i live there
unless your staring into your crushes eyes and then you look away and start blushing. lol
Maybe because it's true...In Eastern Europe
Practical I I think it's pretty common in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. But idk about other Eastern countries like Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia etc. And it's giving me some rough time because i have social anxiety and everybody is looking at me and sometimes it's unbearable :с
looking away is a sign of low self esteem and lack of confidence doesn't mean they are a liar. I find people who lie BLINK like crazy while doing it
I have low self esteem, so this happens to me, and I have horrible allergies so I constantly blink
toasty or if they touch their lips
In the video, it says 'dishonest'. This word and liar isn't the same. Being a liar is a dishonest, but being a dishonest isn't a liar.
Well I guess I'm not human. The way I show I like someone is when I throw an apple at them.
If they catch the Apple then you would be considered engaged in Greek and Roman culture
The only thing that manspreading shows is the desire to be comfortable.
TheRoyalCat lmao so true
I know right feminists can be so freaking annoying with their "omg men can be so annoying they keep wasting everyone's space like they are the king of the world," YOU DONT UNDERSTAND BITCH OMFG. sorry but I've heard people complain about "manspreading" one too many times.
SportStacker78 I feel you
Unless you have 10-pound testicles, your legs have enough space in between them to accommodate your balls when the legs are pointing forward. The reason men (and women) spread their legs is because it requires extra energy to keep their legs tight and forward, therefore making the relaxed state of "manspreading" feel more comfortable. Still, manspread as you please. Don't let people tell you what to do. (Unless people need a seat. They need space.)
Nonwibb Yeah, that too, personally though, my testes are problematic on occasion. 😆
i sit however the fuck is comfortable
adelica monroe same
Yeah but what's interesting is why you find it comfortable
Body language is sub conscious. You don't even realise half the time
adelica monroe AGREED
adelica monroe final2someoje
I just cross my arms cause it feels comfortable. Or sometimes look away when talking to someone, to see what's going on in my surrounding, of course it depends where I am.
Did they just say "Floor Technician" and show a Janitor
That's the point.
baggers at grocery stores are now being called "service specialists"
sitting with your legs spread doesnt have shit to do with personality... it means you have balls that would rather not be squished
k&w video's they said "man spreading" ! 😂 fucking SJWs
Why is this funny
i got big legs from all the squats. i could never cross my legs like that. and my balls are sweaty as they are already
Lol was thinking the same thing 😂😂.. fuck she mean "manspreading" 😂
It just shows that you are more confident not the personality
Seriously? Manspreading? It's called ballspace, and as the name implies, we men usually do that to stop our legs from crushing our family jewels, which are very important, both to us and the human species
Mitchell Bewick XD True,
beautifully told! *claps*
Mitchell Bewick couldn't have said it better myself.
Mitchell Bewick my hats off to you sir.
Steven, I didn't know cats had lips.
When you put your hair behind your ears it means nothing, it just gets annoying being in your face all the time
LemonDrop Kid yerp... unless your hair is already out of your face and you still push it back haha

LemonDrop Kid I always push my hair back when it’s not in my face

No, it's TheHUB.
It's not the Richest.
lord dumbness no 😊
I meant to do this emoji 😶
lord dumbness I know right. They sound the same
avoiding eye contact doesn't necessarily mean you're lying, sometimes I avoid eye contact to be able to focus more on what am saying, since making eye contact makes me feel distracted from my thoughts
"ankle lock" total bullshit, i do it because its comfortable
We "manspread" because we give Mr. Johnson the space respect he deserves
normally dominant man seat with crossed legs
Batikha Mr Johnson 🤣
you mistake dominant men with, men with a small pair of balls.
caleb hope so?
Batikha true
8:33 that dude is like "bitch you better gimme back my damn flowers" lol
tigerlep hunter ok :/
I cross my ankles because it's fucking comfortable. Also, I quite literally have to face my body away from people because I have a condition where one of the issues is that my head is always turned to the right. It's very hard and painful for me to turn my head to the left or look directly forward. It's not because I'm rude or disinterested. Sorry that my disability makes me look like an asshole.
If you have medical issues it's obvious that people with medical conditions will likely not fit many of these things, and that they don't apply to you. Hell it's not even that accurate at describing anyone period.
Hidden haha yeah, I know. I just find this whole video to be completely ridiculous. I'm just pointing out the flaws with their logic and that no two people are the same. For instance, they said that people are lying if they don't hold eye contact. A lot of the time, people who have anxiety have a hard time with the whole eye contact thing. I know I do. I use to be bullied for staring at people too long and now I can't look into people's eyes for more than a few seconds without getting self conscious (I didn't do the staring on purpose, I just use to have a lot of minor seizures. Not the kind of seizures people usually think of when they hear the word. It was just a little blip in my brain that caused me to stare off into space, then get really tired. It was really no big deal). So yes, I was just trying to prove a point. I'm not trying to cause a problem here. Sorry if it seemed like I was. My last sentence of that previous comment may have been a little asshole-ish. Sorry about that.
... No need to get offended over standard body language generalizations. These obviously don't apply to everyone (men in wheelchairs won't "manspread" no matter how dominant and assertive they are). Body language is a science, and like any science there are inconsistencies and outliers. The video is (relatively accurately) explaining the subconscious habits of our body language and what they tell us about people. It's that simple, and no one is calling you an asshole because your neck points at an angle.
ThunderWingPony I just did that... it's comfortable
Respect
I really did enjoy this video and even though I didn’t hit the subscribe button this time, I did hit the like button with my elbow lol
Hey! I'm a girl who sits with legs open. 😑 Sitting in class I would lean all the way back, arms crossed over chest, spine curved, and legs spread. No not that way. I know what your thinking, and I would have thought the same thing lol

People staring at you in eastern europe is normal? Is this some alternative reality?
Martin Kunev I'm not sure I haven't been to Eastern Europe
Well, I have lived in eastern europe for more than 25 years.
Darla Ribeiro well Jesus Christ mate! I'm an American stop generalizing people like that! Not all Americans are stupid hicks thank you! Go fuck yourself!
what a demonstration of American kindness. I'm flattered
+vincent padron Many Americans get angry or defensive when it is pointed out that they are being typically American. Resorting to the intellectual equivalent of "Not all _____" On the other hand "That is so ______" can be a compliment to people of many countries around the world. This implies that most Americans hold a very negative view of what it means to be a typical American. Some just do it consciously, while others do it subconsciously. Because of this divide, there are two ways that Americans deal with these negative feelings. Guilt, which expresses itself in overly heavy criticism of the US in an attempt to disassociate yourself from the bad things that the US does. Denial, which often ends up with them working very hard to associate America with something positive to prove their superiority. It is amusing to see those two groups interact, because they deeply despise each other. Contrast "USA is the best country in the world." with "It's pretty good to be _____" the second phrase points to a mindset which is ready and willing to admit nice things about other countries.
i am always crossing my legs, talking to my teacher, talking to friends, or even at the dentist/doctor
yes, i am VERY impolite bc i don't like dresses and skirts so my legs are spread out, VERY USEFUL INFO YOU GOT HERE.
You. Just. Spread. Your. Legs. It's. Comfortable
Preach. Honestly, I can sit however the fuck I want, and wear whatever the fuck I want. I don’t understand all of this stereotype bullshit.

Very informative, thanks for sharing.
"manspread" needs to be banished from the English language
All words are made up.
Jennie Hollo You can't banish it, but it's definitely overused - when people say "manspreading" I imagine a man taking up 2 seats on the tube (which I saw maybe twice when I lived in London), but people use it when men take up even just a tad too much room - calm down guys
Jennie Hollo Yes today stupidly body language is misread .hahah spread legged and dominate is not world wide understood just be yourself and keep your dignity of who you are I am A grandmother and stupid females get on me too. I feel insulted by it . It is modern morals misread
How about words like moist, fetus, smear, phlegm, mucus. Banish those as well.
I agree, it needs to be removed. It's incredibly sexist.
This is a HUGE generalization Male, 19 years old I'd like to say, I "manspread" because it's the only way I sit. Ever. Not to be dominant in anyway, since I'm shy and introverted. Conversely, I believe the way people sit has a direct connection to the way men's and women's pelvic bones are shaped, and for most, it's not a conscious thought on how you position your legs when sitting down, either. This video is like: "Now typically is the southern regions of Italy, when the left leg is crossed over the right leg and the ankle of the crossed leg meets at approximately a 33.6 degree angle, this indicates..." - ENOUGH Secondly, finger drumming has an entirely different application to me because I'm an actual drummer. I play drums on a drum set. I've been finger tapping or drumming since I was 4 years old and it has nothing to do with being frustrated or impatient. I do the same with my feet actually, and I had a girl ask me if I was a tap dancer in school. Which I'm not, but I might be good at it honestly. I could go on about the body position, like your chest being an arrow... What if you are having a conversation with more than a few people? Are you supposed to turn your whole body every time another person speaks to physically show engagement and interest in the conversation? That would be absurd and you would be perceived as if you had a social awkwardness or something. This video is pretty useless and I hope it's not being taken seriously. And I'll stop here since this is getting long winded and it's a common fact most youtube commenters have an attention span of a walnut, and will never make it to this point anyway. Thanks for reading, don't be a stranger that stares at me on the subway.
Ironicly, your post was the one I read. The power of spacing I suppose.
I play the drums too. Also the same reason why I drum my fingers
Pianists too
thank you for representing us
BGaming Videos you didn't have to wright a paragraph jeez
Great video!
Yeah, because every man who values comfortability has "You da Man" pep talks.
Or maybe men that 'man spread' just have balls
Cucumber Cat same , i think were growing balls
+Rustled Jimmy wtfff ewwww
Rustled Jimmy hahaha
+Queen Chrysalis You act like it's not normal but sweaty and sticky testicles is normal.
Raven and Reid that's so dumb man, yours balls do not fucking hurt if you cross your legs. I'm a dude and that's complete bullshit.
Did she just said eastern Europe and showed up a Pakistani guy?
When I think of Europe right now as an American chick, my only thought is. "If I go to most of Europe, am I going to raped by a Muslim." So it's getting to the point where I think Muslims have taken over Europe.
I'm sorry but when you can literally write a page talking about rape cases of your specific country and illegal immegrants coming in and raping people, then I don't care what your point is, that just looks bad and in no way helps the idea of "Ok your right most of the rape cases were fake and I feel much safer visiting your country".
Nope, my point is, that if it's going to happen, it could be anywhere, it's just your way of life, would you take a walk at 4am at an anarchist ghetto? I wouldn't, and i don't, no problems so far, never got stolen or anything. If you were able to think mathematically ,in my country of ~11 million people + summer tourist almost ~10 million and the rape cases would only be ~80 and consider the 50-50 of men and women accounted, out of 10.5 million women ~80 might be raped, now compare this to any other country, having in mind 80% of them are fake.
Yay for white fright.
Ye, they did. Just like stupidity took over America.
Interesting study. Someone has a lot of time on their hands to come up with all this. Some of these things are familiar, where others were never given a second thought.
If someone I didn't know (a male) walked up behind me and put their hand on my shoulder to give me flowers, I would freak out. I can't stand someone (anyone) coming up behind me all of a sudden without any warning.
Melissa - why is that? Did you have a bad experience? I can usually look to see if someone is coming up behind me
As soon as they mentioned Man Spreading and started talking about men, I opened a door, I walked right out.
Then you typed that on a phone I assume?
Why the hell is man spreading even a word, and why do people make such a fuss about it. If a man is uncomfortable because his genitals are being squeezed why is it looked down upon if he sits like that. Like look ladies I dare you to shove a bag of sand and a hotdog down your pants and see how uncomfortable it can be
Apparently I'm a repressed and fearful female... I thought I was a guy though.

But we all know it's bullshit lol
Thanks Miss.....☺☺😊😊
How truly aware are we?! Wow. It’s all in the body energy and language? 😎
I can firmly guarantee that the leg movements of men don't dictate their personality its just a symptom of how their legs are built or what they did that day. If you ride a bike your not going to want to sit with your legs closed you might spread them its not a god damn science my best friend commonly sits with his legs " man spreading " and he is the most passive and shy person on the planet " a little bit of a push over" and as you can tell i'm a jerk I sit in all three ways equally this dose not mean I have some sort of multipersonality disorder. To fuck with it, it just means that I had a rough day or my legs are fat. pick one.
+Ferggerman i think someone commented about the "manspreading" thing. i'm not a dude so i'm not gonna say it means one or the other, but they said that they believed the video was referring to not normal spreading to allieve your nuts getting crushed, but rather when some men take up two seats. to quote the person directly, they added," Usually, it should be enough to spread as wide as your shoulder. Anything wider and you are overdoing it." but idk. this video was pretty vague. body language is really cool if you're SPECIFIC about what you're pointing out and when.

Hi TheHUB, I am a curriculum developer from a training and development company based in Singapore. I came across your wonderful video on "10 Things Body Language Says About You" and feel that showing the learners this video would be beneficial. Therefore, can I seek permission to use your video to augment my lecture in a classroom(not more than 25 learners) setting with proper crediting done. :)
Notice how all the male leg positions were negative; dominating and self engrandising; closed natured; or argumentative and smug. While female leg positions, had a strong "power position", and were compared to a mythical chreature know for its beauty, perhaps a little biased when you consider leg positioning is always dependent on personal comfort.
The manspreading it's something that we do to stay comfortable because we need space under there, it's not anything like "dominance". Also, i saw so many girl that tends to spread their legs while sitting on a chair. What we should call that? "sluttyness"?
Federay I think 'whorespread' is closer to the mark ahaha
yes, because spreading my legs in order to be more comfortable while sitting makes me a whore. Yikes...
ahaha
They are not being serious. But you did exactly what they do, you just backed up their point. People have been hating on "ManSpreading" because it's supposed to show "Dominance". That's wrong and whoever started that rumor should do some more research. They do it because they have very sensitive external organs in-between their legs and when their knees are pushed together or crossed it crushes them and hurts quite a lot. If you're a girl, put your thumbs on either side of your breast and squeeze. It most likely hurts more than that but it's a good way to imagine and understand it a bit better. They are just making an example of what people are saying about it. You completely proved their point with how stupid it is. You said that it's more comfortable to sit like that, Men are forced to sit like that because of their parts. Under no circumstance should either gender be shamed about it. In the end, it's just how we sit, it's just a small everyday thing in your life that should not be such a big deal. Sorry for such a long comment, I'm just really frustrated with all these comments about how it's wrong and how this is a way for men to oppress women. I'm a girl and understand it is totally okay for men to do it. It's just a minuscule part of the day.
i thought an ankle lock meant relaxation 😂
Maybe sum are correct like if u stick ur middle finger at sumbody means I don't like you.
XD
Lol it means fuck off that's a little more intense than "i don't like you" but ok
That would be intentional. What’s talked about here is unintentional or unconscious behavior. Which is natural or what’s naturally comfortable.
It’s just means back off I want to be left alone

Since TheRichest, TheTalko, TheThings, and this channel TheHUB are all similar and are connected here are the differences: TheRichest has more boy type videos, TheTalko has more girl type videos and talks a lot about celebrities, TheThings give hacks and is not as sexist as TheTalko, TheHUB is more sarcastic. Hope it helped! Bye! :D

Slayingly Christina ?
I only put my hair back because its in my face. Like if you do too
That actually brings up another body language gesture. Being a man with long hair and a job where I move around quite a bit I wear my hair pulled back in a pony tail. Wearing it back like that suggests a utilitarian viewpoint.
I have never put a hair thing in my hair since I was two. I screamed and cried and ripped it out if my mother put them in my hair so she just stopped. I'm 13 now.
Random Fangirl well you shouldn't be on the internet
Uhhmmm, please explain?

"man spreading" you couldn't call it anything else, foreal
Shadow Soul spread manning?
Banestn The Knight No it could be called leg spreading.
ethan moore exactly😂
Shadow Soul 😆😆😆
Man spreading is actually so males can sit more comfortably instead of squishing their dick and bulls.
You can tell how much a woman likes you by how she positions her feet. If they're in the crossed at the ankles position, she's not that into you. If they're positioned slightly apart, she's comfortable with you. If they're positioned behind her ears, she really likes you!

Kadazzler 2895 IKR
Prolly is
Kadazzler 2895 that's how ya make money mate
Kadazzler 2895 So TRUE
The thing about body language is that it is culturally specific, most of these generalizations are true for the U.S. in broad terms and some apply to Western European cultures, but not all. A good example is crossing the arms, depending on the rest of the person's posture it can denote other meanings and frequently people with neck or spinal injuries and some neuro-muscular disorders have their arms cross to relieve pressure from the injured area. In some of the Asian cultures the crossed leg with the foot pointed out or to the side can be construed as an insult as you are pointing the lowest part of your body toward another person. In several cultures direct eye contact is considered rude. Again most of these are U.S. centric and not even a true representation of just the regional diversity within the U.S.
In Eastern Europe there is always gone be an old women in the buss who is staring and criticize you. At least in my town.
As a cashier for many years a memorable pet peeve I had was the finger drumming from those who were impatient, i always interpreted it as rude. Anyway i found meeting it with assertive eye contact and body language totally stopped it every time 😂😂😂
"Man spreading" smh
ItzDatKid kIller is it wrong for girls to do it if they have pants on? I mean, a ton of girls absolutely hate dresses.

Well that's because the part was so gringy. For women, i will explain that when a man is "man spreading" he does this without noticing. That's because we have balls in the middle that feel more comfortable in the "man spreading" position
That, I understood perfectly! Some people just love to ignore the fact that girls and guys don't share the same anatomy! XD
The key when reading any body language or nonverbal communication is to first know a person's baseline behavior and to be mindful of the context. There are a lot of generalizations when it comes to interpreting body language and although there is truth to them, baseline and context, can make or mislead the interpretation.
Good job way to use your mind bro
That manspreading thing better have been a joke
Stopped watching the moment 'Manspreading' came up. What a joke.
yeah but youre a woman so how would you no about anything
H4B33B R4HM44N maybe because she has fucking knowledge and she knows there's a part of a mans body down there that might hurt if you CRUSH it when you put your legs together when you sit?
nocringeplease it was a joke dumbass
I see I'm not the only one who stopped to go to the comments once that part came up. I would say it's more of a relaxation than a thing of dominance. I'm usually the fool people go to if they need someone to get something done. Shit, I'll usually go making food and grabbing things for people, so long as I'm not too busy. You see, when you have balls, you need to give those things some air and try not to accidentally kill one. Usually it's either the crossed legs or spreading in sitting down for this. The thing about crossed legs is that it exposes less crotch, so people assume less of it, but it's nowhere near as relaxed as spreading. Besides that, spreading is less effort to get up and has less likelihood of those scenarios where your ankle is bothered from being up for so long. It's not all that symbolic, it's just aesthetics and practicalities.
Sorry for manspreading, WE HAVE BALLS THAT GET SQUEEZED BY OUR THIGHS DUH.

😂😂😂My mind is usually blank when I stare at people, it’s like I’m a wandering child sometimes.
So, I'm an improper girl... because I don't sit with my legs closed... and I'm nervous and impatient because I drum my fingers... and I'm always upset because I cross my arms? Well, better change everything about me.
Body language isn't a written language where all people with functional eyes could see them. Reading it takes a lot of body readings, and it's useful to see hidden messages. You guys seeing how your body language is actually funny. We're talking about indirect communication (body language) and how to read it. First thing first is, who are you talking to when you're writing that? The computer? Crossing arms is sign of close minded people and it's true for the most part except if you're cold or something.
+Andre Darius ...or it simply says more about your spinal/skeletal structure as to what position you subjectively find most comfortable... but sure, overanalyze everything and say you can basically read people's minds flawlessly, go ahead...
