You don't fully heal from concussions, ever. I got tripped a couple seasons ago and went down in a way that didn't seem bad at all, and I still ended up looking at the ceiling for like 30 seconds.

Super clean hit but there was the smallest bit of unintentional contact with his jaw. When Rom brings his hand up to brace, his shoulder lands right on the left side of Khaira's jaw. Good no call though.

@@jasonpg364 I'm being serious when I say it was a good no call, clean hit. The wobbly legs were simply because of khaira's stance and not the fault of Romanov. During the replay, 1:10 at half speed, you can see he took the back of Roms shoulder right to the chin. If you slow it down and watch both angles, it's pretty clear why he was woozy.

Being a hockey fan in general I love so many jerseys and would own them to collect or hang but I don't know that I could wear other team clothing/paraphernalia lol. I love like 50% of the jerseys in the league lol but I'm a Leafs fan too. I'd own a Rangers, Blackhawks, Sharks, Kings, Stars(green), Flyers, Red Wings, etc jerseys. I like specific players too, so I'd get a captain sharks Thornton jersey or something. Love Benn so I'd get a Benn captain jersey. Etc, etc. Anyways I don't think there's any shame in owning a McDavid jersey as a Leafs fan, just don't ever wear it to the arena on game days please lol.

Good illustration of how you don't have to have your head hit to sustain a concussion. Just the rapid deceleration is enough. I gave a friend of mine a concussion once when we collided mid ice. Never came close to his head, but spun him hard and that was all it took.

Yup. That's the scary part. Not knowing what happened to yourself only a few seconds ago. When I was 9 I got a concussion while sledding. I was going downhill with my brother. The sled hit a bump and his head snapped back and drilled me in the face. My only memories of the incident were kinda seeing the sky and my brother and cousin helping my up and the bottom of the hill. When my dad got down there he packed snow on my eye and we went to the ER. I had a wicked black eye and swollen cheek to go along with the concussion 🤕

@Infinite Wisdom Yes, I also think that Konstantinov is one of the best hockey defensemen in the history of hockey. I compared Romanov to him, because it was in this episode that he reminded me of Vladiator.
His grandfather is also Zinetula Bilyaletdinov. Quite a prolific hockey player to grow up and be able to talk hockey with.
Oh man...I just really enjoy watching JJ play the game. One of my most favorite players. Seems big guys (Lindros) are prone to injuries like this while smaller guys are not. Please take care JJ and only come back when absolutely ready.

Being a hockey fan in general I love so many jerseys and would own them to collect or hang but I don't know that I could wear other team clothing/paraphernalia lol. I love like 50% of the jerseys in the league lol but I'm a Leafs fan too. I'd own a Rangers, Blackhawks, Sharks, Kings, Stars(green), Flyers, Red Wings, etc jerseys. I like specific players too, so I'd get a captain sharks Thornton jersey or something. Love Benn so I'd get a Benn captain jersey. Etc, etc. Anyways I don't think there's any shame in owning a McDavid jersey as a Leafs fan, just don't ever wear it to the arena on game days please lol.

Good illustration of how you don't have to have your head hit to sustain a concussion. Just the rapid deceleration is enough. I gave a friend of mine a concussion once when we collided mid ice. Never came close to his head, but spun him hard and that was all it took.

Yup. That's the scary part. Not knowing what happened to yourself only a few seconds ago. When I was 9 I got a concussion while sledding. I was going downhill with my brother. The sled hit a bump and his head snapped back and drilled me in the face. My only memories of the incident were kinda seeing the sky and my brother and cousin helping my up and the bottom of the hill. When my dad got down there he packed snow on my eye and we went to the ER. I had a wicked black eye and swollen cheek to go along with the concussion 🤕

And then that latest fight he had where he looked so slow and lethargic and then got dropped and now this. Boys it’s time he takes an extended leave of absence and gets back to supreme health.
Ritchie knocked him silly in that fight. Khaira downplayed it but he was totally knocked out. A guy that just got his clock cleaned so bad his eyes were rolling around in his head should have never been allowed to come back that quick. Getting 2 concussions back to back is bad news.

Romanov's a good kid, I don't think he ever wants to injure another player, he plays with intensity though and has so much power in his hits, power in his shot too, just ask Gally, it's unfortunate that this was the outcome, glad that it was recognized that he wasn't head hunting though.
