  • A perfect example of the enforcer style hockey. Cheap shot, enforcer goes out and puts him down, OVER. It is as much a face saving ritual as it is a fight and is a far better system than any new rules might create.

  • That better be a lengthy suspension. Intent to injure. No reason to touch someone by the bench unless you want to injure them. Repeated oversights by the safety department and a blown call on the ice should increase the length as well

  • I love this. I thought trading Maroon would put our players in a vulnerable spot, but Kassian and Khaira have stepped up. (I know they both fought before, just Maroon was good enough at bouncing McDavid’s passes into the net that he was warranted on the first line against dirty teams/players.)   • So physics says that if and when the stick breaks the force the player feels is less than if it doesn’t. It’s the same concept as taking a check along the boards or open ice. Open ice all the force goes into you. Along the boards some of the force goes back into the checking player.
