  • I like the unspoken rules around goalies. Players are never to touch the goalie, but if a goalie engages in a scrap, the other goalie must engage that goalie.

  • Goalies are like the moms of the rink. The Captains are the dads. And everyone else are their kids. Goalies tend to stay back, unless they sees a rookie and or man get jumped on his side, then he's gonna come charging in like a freight train from hell. Or if he sees a man down and a scuffle is happening over him. He's going to use his body to guard the downed man since he's padded a lot more . Captains tend to stay back unless they have to come in. They're like the gentle "Come on guys really?"

  • As an aussie (who doesn't know hockey) a lot of these look like legit clean hits. Specially McCabe #29 that was just beautiful timing, if this was rugby league the crowed would have loved it and the game would have not stopped. Usually only dog shots start fights

    @adambennett1193@adambennett11933 жыл бұрын
    • Problem with hockey is that everything is hard. Ice is hard, boards are hard, sticks and puck are hard, someone falls they fall into or onto a hard surface. Someone falls in rugby they fall onto a body or the ground, both of which won't cause concussions when landed on. That first shot could send someone to the emergency room, that's why boarding is a penalty. In rugby it would be a painted line.

      @Lappelduvideify@Lappelduvideify Жыл бұрын
    • @@Lappelduvideify NRL banned the shoulder charge basically due to too many concussions. Whilst i hear what you mean i think i always look at it like this. The reason we love these sports is because of these types of plays. There not new - same with nrl. Its exciting. Thats why their paid millions and loved by more. Thats why us mere mortals watch from the sidelines. You have to be skilled and tough. Its not for everybody. We have touch rugby if the real thing is too rough for you.. I hate that all sports are banning fights and or rough plays.

  • I’ve only ever been too one Hockey match in my entire life when I was 13 with my Dad too go watch Canada vs USA in my hometown of Brisbane, Australia and in my honest opinion nothing compares too the skill set required for ice hockey. I couldn’t believe the synchronisation of each player. I’ve always grown up idolising more team orientated sports like hockey, soccer, basketball and my nation’s home sport of AFL for most of my life. But nothing compares too the sacrifice, skill, elegance and sheer brutality of this sport. I will never forget the atmosphere in the arena that night, and when a Canadian seated behind me threw his beer all over me in a blood fueled rage screaming “fookin drop your gloves ya blind sighting cunt” when his fellow countrymen got injured and were at war on the ice swinging for the fences, I knew I had just discovered a new sport that personified the meaning of mate ship and loyalty. Which every Australian prides himself in. I will one day attend a Stanley Cup Final match and relive that feeling all over again. Love Hockey, Love Life.
