Kids only watch football now because their dads ‘watched’ it, and actually played as a kid. Now kids don’t play at all. Their dads no longer watch it due to the cost. Kids don’t watch it at all. Why should they????

  • Yeh and the point is….. The next generation NEED TO LEARN & PRACTICE how to concentrate & focus. Not just adapt sport & everything else to the addictive and toxic format of social media which is literally killing the next generation and ruining what we see on a football pitch, tennis court, boxing ring etc. If you can’t sit down and focus on a football match for 90mins then YOU HAVE A PROBLEM and that should be addressed.

  • Every single player from the nineties would absolutely be able to play today, it’s their commitment and dedication that made them professional so they would have been trained to play the new style

    @scottishviking4240@scottishviking4240Ай бұрын
    • That wasn't his point though. He means, the way they played then wouldn't work today. As the way they may have played in previous decades wouldn't have worked in the 90's. Also, the players are immensely dedicated today, very professional, fit and don't go as crazy on the partying as they did in the past. Pique also made the point that most players would have to start from a young age to develop the dominant style of today, it would be rare for a player to come in later in age and pick it up.

You are entitled to your fickle opinion but to disrespect Alex Ferguson like that just because you are bitter about the collapse of the team that followed is just so ignorant and childish... Huge respect as a coach to Pep, but you like him more and rate him over our manger? Sheesh you are a disgrace. And I'm not blind fan, I see and respect the greatness of both Pep and Sir Alex. One is the Greatest manager in Prem history and the other is just a Coach who will become one of the greats.

    • The main reason Pep didn't manage United is because they weren't "Ready Made Enough" like his 2013 Champions League winners Bayern Munich were. Just for the record, Pep Failed at Bayern, most managers would have succeeded at that amazing Barcelona team he had. Fergie worked miracles at Aberdeen and what have United won since Sir Alex resigned despite over £1.5 Billion spent on players under 5 different managers within the past 10 years. It's not like many managers could have replicated Fergie's success at United over a 26 and a half year period.
