It is aweful, and takes away the joy of life😓 But Yes, this meditation helps me too🙏🏻 Do not be afraid of the anxiety, Ask it what it wants from you, talk with it. Don’t let it win. It was at least something I learned from a Norwegian coach on KZhead ( as I am from Norway). I remind myself about this time after time, it is really not easy, But I think it helps, a little at least...🙏🏻 Don’t give up!!!!🙏🏻💕

  • Telling a constricted (stressed) person to take a deep breath invites them to realize just how tight everything is inside. For some people that may be okay, but for others  (like me!)  it can feel terrifying. It can feel claustrophobic, suffocating, and absolutely triggering. Deep breaths are a goal for folks like us  -  not the starting place. The good news is that there are countless alternatives to get grounded, present, and mindful of the body that don't involve the breath. Here are a few to get you started: 1. Focus on a part of the body that feels neutral. 2. Name five things. 3. Listen to sounds near and far. 4. Follow the breath rather than trying to control it. yes, after years of diaphragmatic breathing, I can take a deep breath without panicking. But it took work.

    • You are so right! This doesn't get expressed enough. For so many of us, focusing on something that is "wrong" just triggers more intensity and distress (and therefore more chest tension and shortened breath), and so focusing on the breath can become a negative feedback loop. Focusing on sound has been the most helpful to me.

  • learning to acknowledge/accept internal discomfort (not like it, want it or give into it), helps decrease the struggle to avoid that discomfort - when we struggle or fight with anything, we create greater struggle - like quicksand. when we stop fighting with uncomfortable feelings, we decrease internal suffering. when we think we should only feel "good" or "positive" feelings, we deny (e.g. struggle) that it's part of the human condition to also feel unpleasant / "negative" feelings. the wide range of human emotions is part of the whole experience. i find relief by normalizing, acknowledging and being mindful of the discomfort (not pathologize it). we can own our feelings and thoughts - or our feelings and thoughts can own us; I find this meditation helps diminish anxious and panic symptoms by de-fusing our 'true' selves from unpleasant feelings; thanks MindfulPeace

  • I have never really experienced anxiety, however for the last few days I have been very anxious and today was the worst for me. I found the KZhead video and laid down on my bed in the middle of the day and got comfortable. I found the voice to be soothing and the breathing to be relaxing. I followed along and then I fell asleep! I didn’t get to listen to the whole thing but I awoke feeling refreshed and peaceful with all the anxiety gone. I am going to play this again tonight when I go to bed. Thank you.

  • my anxiety resurfaced a little over a month ago and it's been... very difficult. along with that anxiety came extremely irrational fears, which = more anxiety. then i found mindfulness. the ability to be present and to simply observe all thoughts, scary or not, as just thoughts without engaging with them as to not create more anxiety is just... it's a superpower. i've come back to this meditation a few times now, and i just want to say thank you. i'm not yet healed, but i'm way better than i was, and i know i'm on a steady upward trajectory.

      @aysell0@aysell03 жыл бұрын
    • @@aysell0 Today I am christian. I still have moments of discomfort from anxiety, but they are no longer so bad as 4 years ago. Anxiety does not stop me so much as before. What I did was face the situation, because there's nothing wrong, it is all a product from mind, as a dream, as dreaming a dream during you're awake. It's a thing that comes from our subconscious, where we can't control what happens, but it seems bad but it's just a illusion. That's the first thing you need to really believe inside yourself, anxiety looks real but it's a illusion and the feelings are only consequences of that dream happening at our subconscious. A tool that could help you is create emotions of everything is fine inside you. Our emotion build what happens at our subconscious, so try to feel good emotions about you are OK, imagine it, try to feel more possible that you are well as it is a reality now. This way you will conducting your mind to change those beliefs of anxiety. If you are christian too, a good way to create it is by faith in God, knowing that He is bigger than anything and with you, so you can be tranquil independent of anything that could happens. I wish you be well. God bless you
