The older I get living in the west the more I realize that there is freedom in simplicity. The guys work together sharing experience, spending time cracking jokes together. Probably some of them family. There is happiness in there somewhere. Who is to say we have it better. It all depends what we value. I enjoyed the video. Thank you!
?... pretty much children at harrd work... where is the happiness...
ScimPeep The kids are better off working and learning the trade with their dad then they would be here in Canada popping uppers, downers or having competitions behind high school dumpsters “who can hold a bong hit longest” It all depends how you look at it mate! No one in Canada would hire these kids for apprenticeship. Yea they don’t have much but they also don’t have much to lose.

Ah yes child labor. Brings me back to when I worked with my dad in his auto body/mechanic shop from the 12 to 18 y/o. I didn't understand as a kid why he made me work but as an adult I get it now, Times were tough, money was in short supply, and he needed help. Didnt really have a child hood but that made me into the man i am today.
You called it child labor you maybe right but that is the great way to let them learn when there mind is straight before being useless like most kids in America that get involved in drugs.

Videos like these make me realize my tiny problems and issues here in the states is nothing they go through on the daily, the work ethic and ability to jump over any hurdlers in front of them is impressive and really makes me rethink how I go about day to day life.
It is only because their ancestors failed to think ahead far enough to make the place better. That is why they are doing this job this way
Now this is the beginning of a rational discussion .
I think what may appear as work ethic is actually just putting food on the table. If the truth were know, some of those kids may be the only income for the family. they know if they don't get at it, there are 37 others waiting to take their place.
@@LastOne155 it wasn't as clear-cut as you make it out to be. while industrialization has brought many problems with it, it's simply not fair to blame their ancestors for seeking to utilize the most productive methods and tools of their time

@@KT111 This engine got new pistons, rings and sleeves. That's not even an inframe, and it wasn't even assembled correctly. Owner-operator truck drivers, small farmers, and the like do full inframe rebuilds outside, in the yard or driveway all the time in the US, and it's done without removing the engine. If you knew anything about Americans, you would know there is a large swath of rural America, full of people who get it done on the daily, in conditions similar to those in this video. And unlike those in this video, some Americans are doing this work outside in freezing temperatures as well. Those 3000 series cats, the engine in this video, are some of the most reliable, simple, and easy to work on engines made in the heavy duty category. This one will run for a while, and with labor cost at pennies per day, that works fine in their local economy. @@PatricioGarcia1973 Done, where do ya left Bob Sponge?
@@PatricioGarcia1973 lmfao it wont. those bolts arent close to being tight enough + they literally only placed the pistons. even the nuts/bolts are old ones wich is a big mistake. not to mention its built in that fucking sandstorm XD.
@@karppa8657 contrary to beliefs, engines are actually really durable, a simple wash with a hose to get all that shit out is fine. You just need to displace the water with a couple oil changes, and a little dirt won’t hurt this beast
@@DiscoMiata noop have you seen what dirt does to a white metal bearing ? or a cam or crank journal ? Engines are build new in dust proof rooms for a reason

When they bring you the tools and clean the rubbish after you, you know you're the master
Pretty amazing seeing an engine rebuilt in a yard, not even in a workshop and with basic tools, Impressive.
Not to impressive it won’t last
@@gaberobinson8210 Cheaper than a new one and it will be rebuilt again when it breaks. They are using basic tools to do a rebuild I'd say that is impressive, most people in the West bitch and moan if they haven't got the right tools mostly air powered tools and forklifts/hoists, these guys do it without any of that.
Well Wes that’s impressive
It just won’t last
@@gaberobinson8210 Nothing ever does, it's the toss up between cheaper rebuild or buying a new overpriced one from the manufacturers. Even in the west people are opting to get things rebuilt now as the likes of Caterpillar are hideously expensive by comparison.
I know of a few American mechanics that screw things up EVEN with 100X more tools.
Gotta love the valve spring tool !! :D
Amazing skills!👏
Meanwhile where I work, the technicians are afraid of doing the most basic of work. These are the kind of people I would love to work with, I can learn so much from them. I hope with the money from this channel you guys can invest in some proper work clothes and safety gear.
work clothes and safety gear are such a western concept, these guys look like they do this day in day out and they look like they have all their faculties.
These kid's from Pakistan
As crianças que passam fome no Brasil que você não vê estão ralando igualzinho. É só entrar num canavial, numa olaria, em vários lugares que crianças têm a opção de trabalhar ou passar fome.
Bravo. From Algeria, I greet you, our brothers in Pakistan. you are heroes
