Simple ABC's of turning, Anchor, Bevel, Cut. I left out the B for Bevel, bad catch. Did have my face shield on and yes I was standing in the line of fire. A learning experience for sure.l

    • Gotta love black walnut, guy in Buffalo NY, had a bunch in his parking lot for anyone who wanted it. Nobody came so I helped myself. Beautiful stuff. Fortunate that was all that happened. Need to slow down a little.

  • Suddenly my woodworking teacher harping on at us to wear our facemasks in shop & shouting at us when we didn't makes a lot more sense

    • Know of a few shop teachers that have had to go to court over injuries. Still think the circular saw is the most dangerous. Thanks for the comment.

    • Yeah I agree about the bowl but at the time it's all I could focus on. Only takes a blink.

    • Going to try a boo boo bandage over the area that is constantly receiving the shavings. Will do a video on your reply and solution. Thanks

    • @@bowlreveal Copy that, Ill sub so I can see it when it comes out. Also I didn't mean to sound preachy jus that my dad got yanked into a lathe and could have lost his dominant hand from mid-forearm down. cause he had long sleeves. also personally seen/dealt with more than my share of people getting pulled into machines of various types at my day job because of wardrobe choices. Stay safe
