R9 at age of 19.. Still free from injuries and at his peak was at another level than other players i’ve seen.. Not even cristiano nor messi at 19 can cope R9 ability and superiority.. If messi and cristiano had 3 knees injuries that could ended their careers like R9 had, i don’t think both of them could achieve more than R9 did with those 3 major injuries.. The best ever i’ve seen on pitch, and R9 was the joy of football, you’ll never get bored watched his action day in day out, so mesmerizing with full set of skill..

@Boboiboy@93 Quite the opposite, i actually get bored watching messi/cr videos no matter how they score, it gets very repetitive, but with ronaldo, i'm always finding something new every time. All these goals he's scoring has never been done at this level by anybody else, and he could score anyhow (check more footage). It's mystifying how good he was. I can pick dozens of iconic moves that have not been replicated since on a pitch. Same with players like van basten or zidane - never gets boring

Ronaldo was an anomaly. I think that's partly the reason why his body broke down on him. You're not suppose to be that strong, that fast, and that technical. I don't think his knees were able to support that kind of pressure.

It's amazing how much control he had at those insane speeds he liked to play at. Also if you didn't know which was his dominant foot you'd be hard pressed to find out as his weaker left foot scored some screamers in his day. Just overall the perfect striker! Power, balance, speed, technique, ball control and finishing! Truly a nightmare for entire defenses and the goalie. This guy was unstoppable.

only early 90s kids and earlier will ever see a 9 of this talent, I feel sorry for youngsters these days. to cmpare Cr7 to this specimen is sacrilege, R9 was clearly not a normal human being LOOK AT THE SPEED AT WHICH HE DRIBBLES, THE POWER HE FINISHES WITH AND AT PACE!!!. I read somewhere that his dribbling was so fast and electric that it was unhealthy for his knee joints dont know if that's true but it would make sense.

Brutal power + diabolic driblings, we only can know he was human for his knees. In Inter he launched freekicks like R.Carlos or Ronaldinho (check videos) even was good with head when he was young, magical tricks, magic R10 style pass, and very very very nice guy, very humble, very fun, always fair play... he was perfect. llavero5 dont think its true tbh, more like he has to adapt to a much tough defenders in a prime serie A, were strikers had to build fast and strong despite his talent, thats more like after 98 wc, he doesnt rest much to arrive in italy and has a minor injury due to fatigue and carry on in season 99, similar happen with other great strikers at that time like batistuta, salas, bergkamp. Just look clips for that matches, they have to face guys like maldini, nesta, stam, montero, gatusso, cannavaro etc

I am 18 and R9 is my favorite player and know, that he is better than CR7 and think that R9 is the greatest. I have seen his games (full games) on a CD and highlights on youtube. I have seen the games of CR7 and highlights on youtube, and I think R9 is better. No hate on nobody just my opinion on this.

It was very special to watch him. It’s like watching Muhammad Ali in his prime. Best in the world at his job. And something about it makes you feel like it’s a dream. Maybe it’s because you know history is being made in front of your eyes. The only contemporary player that has this effect for me is Messi. Cristiano is special, and an all-time great player. We are so lucky to have him in our lifetime. And I respect him greatly. But Messi brings the magic of players like Maradonna or this Ronaldo. It’s a deeper feeling. A special feeling that cannot be described..

What discipline? Discipline wasn’t going to bring back the Ronaldo you saw in that video. He shattered his knees, which turned him closer to a traditional striker. Before that, he wasn’t really a number nine. He started abs finished all of his goals. For as good as Iniesta was, he would have been close to Messi if he had decent pace. Ronaldo post knee injuries was a normal great player; the Ronaldo pre-injuries can only be compared to Pelé, Maradona, and maybe Messi. He was that good.

At one specific time no player has ever reached the quality of Ronaldos prime. Some might have had longer or better carreers but none have surpassed Ronaldos level, it was a shame he suffered those injuries.

only early 90s kids and earlier will ever see a 9 of this talent, I feel sorry for youngsters these days. to cmpare Cr7 to this specimen is sacrilege, R9 was clearly not a normal human being LOOK AT THE SPEED AT WHICH HE DRIBBLES, THE POWER HE FINISHES WITH AND AT PACE!!!. I read somewhere that his dribbling was so fast and electric that it was unhealthy for his knee joints dont know if that's true but it would make sense.
Brutal power + diabolic driblings, we only can know he was human for his knees. In Inter he launched freekicks like R.Carlos or Ronaldinho (check videos) even was good with head when he was young, magical tricks, magic R10 style pass, and very very very nice guy, very humble, very fun, always fair play... he was perfect. At his last match "i never said i was better than others, i just wanted to be good". R9.
Yeah, his Dribbling, acceleration, speed and agility skills were too explosive for his knees. Imagine what he could have done without injuries... Ps:he's also famous for the quickest dribbles, feet and control

llavero5 dont think its true tbh, more like he has to adapt to a much tough defenders in a prime serie A, were strikers had to build fast and strong despite his talent, thats more like after 98 wc, he doesnt rest much to arrive in italy and has a minor injury due to fatigue and carry on in season 99, similar happen with other great strikers at that time like batistuta, salas, bergkamp. Just look clips for that matches, they have to face guys like maldini, nesta, stam, montero, gatusso, cannavaro etc
I am 18 and R9 is my favorite player and know, that he is better than CR7 and think that R9 is the greatest. I have seen his games (full games) on a CD and highlights on youtube. I have seen the games of CR7 and highlights on youtube, and I think R9 is better. No hate on nobody just my opinion on this.
Nowadays strikers cant even dribble properly just relying on playmaker and teamates,,, Ronaldo is just another level of striker,,, he used to work hard,, he got insane speed,, he got insane skills,, and he got insane goal scoring abilities...Complete striker package. Ronaldo is the best striker in world till 2022...
He is the reason why a generation loves footbal, till today I have never ever seen a more complete striker than him, when I was a kid in the 90s we played soccer in the streets and shouted out his name

It was very special to watch him. It’s like watching Muhammad Ali in his prime. Best in the world at his job. And something about it makes you feel like it’s a dream. Maybe it’s because you know history is being made in front of your eyes. The only contemporary player that has this effect for me is Messi. Cristiano is special, and an all-time great player. We are so lucky to have him in our lifetime. And I respect him greatly. But Messi brings the magic of players like Maradonna or this Ronaldo. It’s a deeper feeling. A special feeling that cannot be described..

What discipline? Discipline wasn’t going to bring back the Ronaldo you saw in that video. He shattered his knees, which turned him closer to a traditional striker. Before that, he wasn’t really a number nine. He started abs finished all of his goals. For as good as Iniesta was, he would have been close to Messi if he had decent pace. Ronaldo post knee injuries was a normal great player; the Ronaldo pre-injuries can only be compared to Pelé, Maradona, and maybe Messi. He was that good.
