Defenders during those 90's Serie A are no joke and all of them are truly world class and you have Ronaldo Phenomenon doing easy stepover and dribbling past them as if they were like chesse. This is why R9 will always be greater than Messi/CR7 because R9 plays in an era against TRULY TOUGH defenders and he beats them. At the age of 21 we was two times the best player in the world, top scorer of 3 different national leagues, mvp of 98 world cup, 1x WC winner and 1x WC runner up. After 2 years out due to a career ending injury (doctors around the world saying he would never play football again), he come back and won the 2002 world cup being the top scorer and scoring 2 goals in the final against Germany.
