I’m so thrilled they saved this beautiful estate. It’s so sad to see how many were torn down.
No matter where an old once glorious building is located, it always makes my heart burst with joy to see them saved while being respected of it's former glory & loved once again! Hopefully saved from ruin for another 200+ years at least. Kuddos to anyone & everyone who is able & willing to save architectural historical buildings around the world.
By far everyone exceeded the lovely restoration the stately mansion deserved. I would say many miracles where performed here . No human labor force could of worked the major my eyes saw at this wedding event. By far the best .
Rise Hall is in a lovely area of Yorkshire, I pass it often.

Consider wearing respiratory and eye protection when pressure washing mold. Protect yourself from breathing in or ingesting particles containg mold. And protect your eyes from injury or infection.

Yes. And actually you use a dilution of muriatic acid and water. A good respirator is a must. Without the avid, the mold comes right back. Best to paint it as well.
@bina nocht best thing is a dilution of muriatic acid to pressure wash brick. Painters do this before painting to kill algae before painting.
Black mold spores wreck havoc in the body for years to come. Protect exposure of you entire body before spraying mold spores into the air. Take care!

I'll be honest I was wondering all along how one could possibly make this gymnasium look even decent, but these new windows and the decoration... It looks fantastic!
Yes, it turned out wonderfully but I would paint or cover the yellow brick walls, it's too institutional looking for me, I'm an artist and like Graham, colors and textures are really important
The wallpaper in the Regency bedroom was incredibly beautiful.
This is such a lovely family and very heartwarming, I wish them the best. Perfect touch at the ending, a display of fireworks.

We just built an 8,600 SF home, and it's been 25 months and we're hoping to move in, in a month. I can't believe it's taking so long because of the pandemic!!! How wonderful it took only 8 months!!! What a GORGEOUS venue and manor!!! CONGRATULATIONS guys!!! 🌻

Fireworks?😲😳 yikes! Everyone were gorgeous, both inside and out. The decore, divine in its simplicity.
Its good to see a UK country home being restored as apposed to the many French chateaux which are currently on You Tube. I love the aesthetics of the restoration.
I thought so myself. All those gorgeous English historic châteaux need some loving renovations and to be occupied again.
I like them all.
I've been chasing French chateaux videos for a long time now, there are so many of them, some extremely huge, but many quite a nice size. Problem is France is a really big place, and so many are in central France miles from anywhere you have heard of, and rather difficult to imagine yourself fixing up a place you can't easily use as a weekend retreat unless you have your own plane & could make a landing strip ! That dream is long gone of course, but it was lovely to dream !

@@nixmoretta13 yep this was recorded years ago the boys are all teenagers now. She sold it to a hotel chain or something like that. She's now built a largish house on a farm down in the south west of the country.

Love watching this on t v, would love to have seen more of the renovation, even with all the hiccups with planners etc, good on ye both for sticking with it, love watching ye with the kids, so natural, brilliant environment for rearing small kids, hope the rest goes well for ye 🇮🇪
Renovation is the correct word because they do not come close to restoring those old houses. It is really sad that no one has the money to really restore what is left of these buildings to something close to the original state. With all of our power tools and easier to work with materials they still cannot match the craftsmanship of the original builders.

I thank God for the ppl who undertake the restoration & preservation of the homes from the nations past. I can't stand thinking these estates are crumbling away neglected & unnoticed. I hope many more will be saved & cherished as the irreplaceable treasure that they are. They must be saved! Thank you Sara for honoring & pursuing the call on your heart with passion & diligence. May you find another grand estate to rescue once done with this "cottage!"

They sold it a couple of years ago to people who do weddings and big occasions. They have just recently bought a farm in either .Sussex or Suffolk (someone correct me please) as their next awfully big adventure. They seem to be very happy about this chapter in their lives. Plus, the boys are all grown up.

I like Sarah I have seen her a few years ago on a building renovation show she knew all the modern innovations to improve old buildings and for a woman that is wonderful It was her that said about light tunnel that I was able to have in my dark living room new in its day made all the difference

I cant say I was too positively impressed with the bride to be, wondering what massive undertakings she herself has completed to give such a shearing review of their ongoing work. Considering also the financial break they are getting, sometimes its best to not say everything that comes to mind. There are people who have actual vision of what will be & those, without. If it takes lack of sleep, that's what it will take. Not a woman who seems to give her word lightly , she seems to have a grip on all the realities. They've sold it & moved on to, maybe bigger or smaller things, what a delight to watch it come together & not have to share in the stress of it all !

John Stancliff ...i had a wee look.....the asking price is over valued......would cost 10-12 million to restore so really worth 1 mill......not may investors enough to sink that much money into a project this size.....perhaps the community could raise funds and have a programme to restore it over say 20 years.
@@geoffdundee Lynne wood hall is a lost cause, all of the original interiors have been sold by the theological seminary years ago and the entire thing is a crumbling, dry rot infested shell of its former self. It’s be worth more if they razed it to the ground and sold off the raw material, sad but true.
The bride and groom are very patient and trusting. I'd be in floods of tears and looking for another venue weeks before and the trades people have excelled themselves. Well done everyone. If I was Sarah or Graham I'd be a nervous wreck. Congratulations to the bride and groom.
I somehow stumbled onto this video on KZhead and have since discovered that Sarah & her husband sold the property in 2019. Rise Hall is still an event venue.

I`ll admit {from Florida} that the weather confused me >> long-sleeved jacket on, jacket off & tshirt, long-sleeved jacket on, jacket off & tshirt, then short sleeves abound. Maybe it is there like it is here in "winter", when we`re donning Alaskan parkas in the morning {not really, but it IS chilly}, stripped down to flipflops by midafternoon, and then sitting in front of a blazing fireplace at night again.
You have done the impossible with all the children so young i have seen another mansion with the children older well done its somenthing i always wanted to do im glad im not the only dreamer you put yours to work applauds

Think they need a master key, as well as someday a jet cleaning of the building. The hall still looks a bit commercial for myself but it’s a significant improvement. An entrance carpet for the bride so as not to damage her train.
I just love the show I may not see my big place until I get to heaven but I’m OK with that. I love it.

We constructed a 23m hotel in two years even it was changed 4 times including the respective planning permissions and fire certs etc. At least we know what we were doing -
How much did the total project cost? It looks like an impossible goal. I wouldn't like to do that sort of stuff but I must admit it was a beautiful finish from what I saw of it without actually going thru the place.
Great admiration for this couple and the team, the workforce behind its success. Be nice to list the businesses and independent tradesmen involved in his restoration - a marketing boost for them :-) - hope they all received a huge bonus.
Exit doors must be opening outside in the direction of evacuation. That is violation. May cause problems in case of fire.
